- Only the best alloy steel billets and heat-treating processes are utilized
- Shovel bolt-in (except 1980-81)

- Cam with more mid-range and high-end power
- Intake open/close 19°/43°
- Exhaust open/close 50°/18°
- Intake duration 242°/280°
- Exhaust duration 248°/290°
- Intake lift at TDC: .156°
- Exhaust lift at TDC: .142°
- Intake lift .450"
- Exhaust lift .450"
- Uses stock springs
Note: 1980 and 1981 engines: The height of original stock H-D valve guides restricts spring travel (and valve lift) to .430 or lower!
