I love the look of this jacket. I bought it to wear in the colder months in Nashville. I’m very small 5’ 3” 105lbs athletic build, I usually get the smallest size in everything so naturally I got the smallest size in this jacket... it was TINY. I ended up ordering the 42 and it fit much better however still tight in the shoulders. I’m able to fit a base layer under it/fleece, which was important to me, and it still looks great. I’m hoping it stretches and forms like leather should. Only other thing I’m not crazy about is the back is longer than the front side so if you have a short torso it might not be a good choice for you.

LOVE this jacket!
This jacket is beautiful. It definitely runs small but I love the snug fit, especially while riding. The opening at the wrists is a bit snug and doesn't stretch at all so I have a tough time getting my hands out of the jacket at times. I find myself wearing this for other than just riding. Love it!

Size chart is not true to size. Jacket is too small inside pocket ripped within the first week; cannot feel air ventilation either. Super sticky and hard to put on and especially take off. Absolutely not worth $500

Ride in Style
My biggest concern when buying this jacket was sizing. I just happened to stop by a motorcycle store and spotted this jacket, tried it on and liked the fit. I am 5’5, 112 lbs, broad shoulders, athletic build. I tried on both size 40 and 42. Size 40 fit me well but was a little snug in the shoulders and I would not be able to add a layer.
I ended up choosing the 42 based on following: I tried on the size 40 in store with a back protector (though it is not included) and it was very tight around my shoulders. I have a long torso and the size 40 just looked too short. I ride with Scorpion Savannah pants and they actually look very nice with the jacket and the size 42 just reaches the top of the pants. By choosing size 42 I have extended my riding season. I live in Arizona and by being able to add a layer under the jacket I can now ride most of the winter here as well. I did not want a jacket that I have to stretch out. The 42 looks really nice. It is snug but not tight. I ride many miles /year and I also want a jacket where I can just add a layer when the evening comes or those early cold mornings. I choose to always ride with a back protector and the Alpinestar KR-2i fits the Vika jacket.

Body fits great, but arms and wrist too small
Dang! I really wanted to love this. I am 5'2, 115 lbs, size 0 in womens, 32B cup. I have the Dainese D1 Racing jacket in a 40, but it is slightly too big for me. (For reference, Rev'it in a 38 is also a little big on me). I wanted the Vika for an every day sleek look on the bike when I cruise around town. I went against the reviews and ordered a 38--b/c the measurements were spot on (and I didn't think I needed to err on the side of going up a size). The arms are a little snug-and a 40 probably would feel better and accomodate layers, but the body of the jacket fits perfect on me (even with a 2x padded bra). The only reason I can't keep it? The wrists!! The wrist on the sleeves of this jacket are too tight and it doesn't adjust at all. I have wide palms, so it is nearly impossible for me to get the jacket off b/c the wrist opening is so small that it doesn't want to go over my hand without help and wiggling. I'm not sure if going up to a size 40 will help with the wrist situation. Sadly, this has to go back. Ugh.

Feminine-form friendly jacket but HOT (literally)
I was in search for a women's leather jacket that was protective but feminine. I had an old women's icon textile jacket that i have been using for quite a while. I found it difficult to find a leather jacket that was fitting for a female's curves especially with protection. After reading the reviews i decided to pull the trigger and purchase this.

-Fitment
I normally wear a small in jackets, (5'5" 120lbs) i chose to purchase the medium (The other reviews were right, go one size up!). It has been about a month or so now and it's broken in. It is tight especially with a forcefield back armor insert but i can zip up with ease and feel fairly comfortable. Without the armor its perfect, but i keep that need for protection in mind on highways.

-Pockets
The front pockets are small, good lucking trying to fit your hands inside with armored gloves on. The inside waterproof pocket is large enough to fit my iPhone 6 but you can see the outline due to the tight fit. No biggie for me, my goal was to find a fairly protective leather jacket that complimented a women's figure (in other words, i didn't want to feel like a bulky man). There are also 2 other pockets inside closed with velcro.

-Fire Hot, More Air Please
Air flow is great for a leather jacket but i do wish there were zippers to allow more air in. Definitely not a jacket to wear in the summer. I wore it yesterday in 80 degree weather with just a tank top and was sweaty and uncomfortable, so much so that i had to turn back and wait for the sun to set. Then again, what would you expect with keywords "Leather" + "Jacket".

-Overall
Don't use this for those 80+ degree days unless your sweat threshold can withstand it. Absolutely buy this if your needs are similar to mine. Again, I wanted a sexy yet discrete leather motorcycle jacket that flatters and compliments a woman's physique yet provides adequate protection for my daily commute.

Stylish Well-made Jacket
I'm new to the riding world and am in the process of trying to find gear. My biggest challenge is finding something that fits properly, is safe, and is at least somewhat flattering. I was excited to find a jacket with a feminine cut and safety features (includes shoulder and elbow armor).

I'm 5'7" 118 lbs. 32" bust and 28" waist. I have a long torso and slightly broader shoulders.
I ordered a 40 and it was way to small! Once zipped I could barely move my arms, especially with the armor. The jacket also was slightly short in the front when wearing a lower waisted pant, but it does come down farther in the back and cover your waistband.

After talking with customer service, we decided that this jacket may not be the best fit for me because I have wider shoulders and it is a narrower jacket. So instead of ordering a bigger size, I'm going to try a different brand. They also advised ordering the size that corresponds with your largest measurement, so in my case I should've ordered a 42 since that corresponds with my waist measurement. I'm used to things being too large on me, so I decided to go with the smaller size. But this jacket is cut a bit small anyway.

If it had fit properly, I can see it being a comfortable and flattering jacket.

i wish there was more gear like this
Love this. It is so sexy on, I got the matching pants as well. I'm 5'7, 135 lbs and got the size 46 and can just fit a light hoodie underneath for the winter months. long torso and i'm a b cup, usually where a small in most tshirts to help y'all with sizing. I have to put the jacket on last cause its tight but i love the finished look. Leather is beautiful, outer pockets are tiny but i can fit my phone in the inner pockets.
I'd highly recommend

For the fashion oriented lady
Background: 5'2 & 107lbs

Fit: Way too tight around shoulders especially if you're adding back armor. I ordered a 38 and will be exchanging for a 40. Arm length is good, silhouette is great & fitted, not overly busty since I'm smaller chested anyways. I don't mind it being snug as the leather should stretch over time.

Construction: Stitches aren't alwaaaays even but then again this was made in China. My main issue is the usage of cheap velcro instead of snaps (on collar). Also collar is huuuge, my neck is average but this isn't patterned to be fitted well around the neck. Odd gap and bunching of fabric. Collar construction and sewing order of operation could be improved to fit better. Love that there's no giant company logo smeared across the chest. Makes the jacket more subtle.

Style: So far the Vika line is the closest thing I found that doesn't scream "racer" or "omgIridemotorcycles." As a lady, I think moto apparel geared towards women are atrocious. It's almost as if the design department has no idea what women want. Please stop tossing PINK on clothing/accessories just to label it for women's.

Color: What happened to the champagne color? The metallic blue is hideous.

Protection: Shoulders & elbows are padded nicely. No back insert so buy your own!

Beautiful, runs small, but dang metallic blue color is weird
Good quality, runs very small. I got a 42 as 5'3" 107 lbs and I would've gone a size up had I not returned it for the nasty metalic light blue color. Such a weird 2nd option, I don't know why they didn't make it white or brown. But it is very flattering and quality is great and armor felt like it was in the right spots.

Does this jacket zip to most alpinestars pants? Or just the Vika?
A shopper on Feb 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have the Stella Oxygen Air pants and they do zip to the Vika Jacket. I would assume all Alpinestars jackets and pants zip together as they employ the same connection zipper.

The only problems I've ever heard people come across were when a much older model pant was paired with a newer model jacket.
What is the difference between the 2013 and the 2014 model?
A shopper on Jun 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: there is an inner lining that protects you from the cold making it a 3 season jacket
Hello, what back protector would you recommend for the VIKA 2014 jacket? I am a size 38. Thanks!
A shopper on Mar 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The Icon D30 is super thin & small and fits perfectly in my size 40. There is still some give in the pocket so the protector would likely fit a 38 as well.
Is the jacket labeled blue actually white?
A shopper on Jul 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: no its actually a shinny light blue for 2014 and the previous model had black and a champagne color too.
Is this gear okay to wear on a track day or is it best suited to road wear only?
A shopper on Sep 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: If you're going to be doing a lot of track days, then why not get a track suit? With pants and a back protector, this jacket will get the job done, but I'd rather have a suit designed for the track. It's a great jacket, so I wouldn't want to mess up my street gear while out on the track.
I'm 5'3" and 100lbs. I wear a size 0 or xs all the time. I have an in icon contraband textile jacket in small to allow for room for a heavy sweater. Would these two jackets be comparable in size?
A shopper on Jul 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I do not know about that Icon jacket. However, I am also 5'3" and 100#. More importantly, I am 33.5-34" bust, 32" upper chest, and 25" waist, and the size 38 (the smallest) fits like a glove, extremely fitted, with only a shirt on underneath. I've worn the size 40 before for about a year or two, and that was comfortable, with a Gerbing heated jacket liner underneath (somewhat a tight fit, especially in the arms). For me the size chart was spot on. I would recommend that you measure your upper chest, bust, and waist size and then compare those values with those in the size chart for the best fit.
It sounds like the jacket is lined with satin. Does it have a removable lining for warmth? If so, does it cover sleeves and body or just body?
Sophie M on Apr 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes there's a removable liner, but just on the body. None for sleeves.
How big is the diffrence between a size 40 and a 42? Not sure if it is enough to just get one size bigger og two. I got one in 40 and its too tight over the shoulders and arms... But im afraid that a 42 still isnt big enough ooor that 42 is perfect and 44 will be way to big hehe!
A shopper on Jun 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I actually bought a 40, and it zipped but was pretty tight, so I exchanged it for a 42, which fit really well. So if the 40 technically fits just feels too tight, I would say get the 42. But if the 40 just doesn't fit at all, I would probably jump up to the 44.
Does this jacket have a slot for a back protector?
tarzansam on Feb 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Alpinestars Nucleon back protectors fit and are nearly unnoticeable when worn.
Does this jacket have pockets at all? Any inside? Thanks!
A shopper on Dec 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does have side pockets. Also the size of the jacket runs a bit small so you might want to get the next size up from your normal size.
