Why choose RZ?
Great jacket, moves a TON of air, good flexibility. I wear a 2XL North Face jacket and the 3XL Alpinestars is a good fit, although I wouldnt want it much smaller; this is with the Alpinestars Bioarmor Back Protector inserted as well.

I could have bought my Alpinestars jacket from a dozen other sites for the same price, but what sold me on RevZilla is their customer service. The guy I spoke with was a ton of help, I felt like he was really steering me in the best direction for me and not just pushing a product using scripted responses.

Thanks RZ!

I like it.
I'm really happy with my purchase. The jacket is very well made and the style is awesome. I measured myself and it appears I should get a small. When I received it, the sleeves and waiste were a bit too short. I exchanged it for a medium and I'm much happier. I'm 5'8" 163lbs. The jacket itself breathes very well. The windbreaker stops some air but certainly not all. I rode it on a 58 degree Pennsylvania day and was a bit chilly after my 30 minute commute to work. Going home in 80 degree weather I left the liner in and was fine. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.

2 season jacket for winter FTW?!?
Everyone knows this is a good hot weather jacket, so my review will focus on a somewhat colder weather review.

I evaluated this jacket February 10, 2015 between 9pm and 11pm in northern california with the temp varying from 49 to 46 degrees. *** Keep in mind, the bike I was riding was a 2015 BMW R1200RT (total wind protection and heated everything). I wore a single long sleeve t-shirt and rode with the liner in and out.

I was completely comfortable, and I estimate I would continue to be, all the way down to 37 degrees. I think that’s mostly due to the bike though. The removable liner really does work well at keeping the chilled wind out, but I was happy either way. I think it might even work in the rain with a separate light rain gear type jacket over it.

As far as quality, fit, and finish goes it looks pretty good. I got the black version. I wasn’t too stoked about the SEVEN astars logos in bright white stitching so I went to work with a black sharpie and now it looks like the waterproof T-jaws with gray stitching (see photo).

Overall I’m completely satisfied with this product. MSRP of $270 for a 2 season jacket is kinda steep, but for my location and bike I’ll be wearing it year round. I want to thank Antney for the nice video review and the previous RZ customers who wrote reviews before this one that helped me make this informed purchase.

Booyah!

Great jacket!
This is a great jacket that I'm always excited to use! Don't kidd yourself, the liner isn't going to keep you warm on chilly mornings (50° F and below) but when the temp rises is where this jacket is awesome! It's got plenty of venting up the arms and in the chest to allow lots of air to flow while at speed in almost 90° F. An external chest pocket would have been handy but with the two lower pockets you can make due. The main zipper does seem "backwards" being that the actual zipper stays with the left side of the zipper but just takes a little getting used to. Overall it's a very light, comfortable, and effective jacket for when the temp is high. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who asks!

Great Affordability
Love this jacket! I am not a huge fan of leather jackets because they tend to get to warm, so this jacket is perfect for me. It looks great and feels good too. Comes with built in bio armor and lots of great pockets including a waterproof one inside the zipper crease, great for your phone and wallet. I am 6'4" 225, the XL fits me nice and snug so there no flapping in the wind but still lots of room to move around. Comes with a detachable wind barrier liner which is really easy to take out. Lots of airflow for those hot days and I feel a lot safer then my older jackets, Hope I never have to test it though!

Just awesome!!
I always liked IIcon products but this spring I purchased a new bike and I decided to go with Alpinestars and I have not regrets. This jacket is awesome, very good quality, fit perfect, looks very nice. FYI I got the Black/white/yellow, the yellow is not yellow like NYC cab in fact is neon green very good for visibility , I went one size up since Alpinestars is European cut. I will definitely buy more products from this brand. Also, the product video reviews from Anthony are very helpful.

Amazing Summer Jacket
I'm completing a 2700 mile tour and wore this the whole time. Kept me very cool in the heat, and too cool some evenings even with the liner in (at which point I put my REV'IT! Cyclone H2O Rain Jacket over top and was comfy). I have a stocky build, normally wear a 54/44 in Alpinestars and grabbed the XL. Fits my 210 lb. 5' 10" frame very well with enough room for my gut. I zipped this into Alpinestars top-of-the-line leather track pants and had a great, comfortable combo. My legs tend to not overheat in the summer, so I like the combination a lot. The blacks don't really clash either, which I was worried about. Could not recommend this anymore. Please note, buy some sort of back protection, the included foam insert is a joke. I chose a standalone back protector — the Tryonic See+ Back Protector in size LG. Great combination. Very comfortable, even in the summer.

Good warm/hot weather jacket.
I bought this as a spring/summer jacket. I really like the style and fit. Everything from the arms, torso, chest all fit well. I'm 5'10", 163lbs with an thin/athletic build and I have a medium. This jacket is not for cooler weather. The removable wind liner is really does nothing. But the jacket does have room to layer. I took it out once when it was in the lower 60s. With the windchill i turned around, went back home and put on my winter jacket instead.

I wore this jacket all summer in 60-90 degree weather, flows lots of air! A little chilly below 60 even with the liner, but great fit and stylish, if somewhat plain.

I have had an Alpine Stars textile jacket for several years and it has been excellent. Great style, great quality and fit. I also have SMX-1 A* boots and gloves and its all great gear.

I live in HK and need a good quality air mesh jacket, so A* is my first choice and the extensive info and team at Revzilla helped me confirm that this T-Jaws air jacket flows the most amount of air and I can upgrade the chest armour in it. 100% humidity and very sticky here in Hong Kong in the summer!

I needed a jacket that was better suited for the summer. I've been sweating too much, attempting to persist with my current jacket (it's a 2-3 waterproof cold season jacket - aka WAY to hot for anything above 70ºF)

Is the red version of this jacket truly "pink" ?
A shopper on May 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No pink, the red version is very much a true red. Looks great in real life!
How does this compare to the leather Jaws jacket?

Will I still get the same level of protection - It appears that the fit seems to be a little looser on this textile version, is this correct?
A S on Apr 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Leather is going offer the best protection in falls and if it doesn't take too much abuse you could wear it again. Also leather is going to "break-in" after some use and start to conform to your body. Textile jackets will need to be replaced after a crash. Ideally you'd want to have a mix of jackets since leather can be way too hot depending on your climate.
can you upgrade the chest protector to the bionic chest protectots in this jacket?
213s on May 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm not seeing anywhere to remove or replace the chest protector. I only see a place to remove the back foam.
Hi,

I'm looking for a jacket to replace my leather for hot summer days in Australia, what would be the best jacket for keeping cool the T-Jaws Air or something like the T-GP-R air Jacket?
Having an inner liner is not a priority to me because I would just switch to a leather.

Thanks
A shopper on Nov 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi there,
I don't have any complaint for this jacket. Great in London's summer and early fall you can really stretch it through fall depending on your cold tolerance.
Y.
Brian has a 43" chest and he is wearing a size Large. Is this correct? The size chart says that he would be wearing a XL or an XXL.
Mario Vitor B on Dec 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Mario, I'm usually a 2XL but with this jacket I found that a 3XL fit perfect. I would choose one size bigger than you normally wear.
I'm 6'6 and am looking for a summer fall jacket but I can't seem to find any that are long enough. Is this one long or is there one thats more taller then this one?
Jordan F on Apr 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm 5'10 and I have this jacket in a size L, it's almost too short for my taste so I doubt that this will be long enough for you.
I am looking for a jacket that gives great air flow during summer and has a linner which will be waterproof during light-medium rains. I know the T-Jaws WP is better for rainy season but not sure if the T-Jaws WP is good for summer? so looking a best fit between what T-Jaws Air and T-Jaws WP offers
A shopper on Jun 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I bought the T-Jaw air specifacally for warm-weather riding. I cannot speak to how well the liner works but I imagine in a light rain or short period it would work well. I can attest to how great it works on 85 degree asphalt weather. Ride today, great cooling.
I can't decide between this and the T-Jaw WP jacket. From what I understand, the WP version would be too toasty for an Atlanta summer. That's why I want the air but how cold could I comfortably wear the Air? Would putting on a hoodie and north face do the trick? I'd like to ride well down into the upper 30s.
Jonathon H on Jun 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: First, great jacket, you won't be disappointed.

I live in central Iowa where it gets stupid hot n' muggy in July & August. I rode several times with temp index's over a hundred and thanked myself every time for not going with the WP.

I rode until we hit the lower 40's. With the inner liner that comes with the jacket and a heavy sweatshirt, the ride was cool, but bearable.

mG
Without considering the inner liner, how's the air flow of this mesh jacket compared to the T-GP Plus R Air?
Brian V on Apr 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The T-jaws flows a ton of air due to the large amount of mesh paneling, but I doubt it's going to offer much of a difference compared to the R Air. As a side note I own the jaws for hot and T-GP R WP for winter, and I can say I would rather have the R Air for summer due to the zppered wrist cuffs and shoulder sliders.
How is the air flow of this mesh jacket compared to the T-GP Plus R Air?
A shopper on Apr 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't know about the TG-P Plus R Air, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the T-Jaws Air in even the hottest weather...which in NH really isn't that hot.
