Shows from under your jacket
Great addition to the KR-1 Back protector. I really liked it (for the price, at least). It does cover your cocyx perfectly and does feel like you might as well have it since you barely notice it. Whether it will make a difference or not isn't very clear, but since theres no real reason not to wear it it's worth it in my opinion. The only thing I did find funny is that when standing upright, it pokes below the jacket and is visible from behind. It doesn't look bad, but it does look funny and someone may wonder what it is if they are not aware your wearing a back protector.

Great Addition to the KR-R back protector
Great addition to the KR-R Back Protector. Hope I never have to crash test it, but its nice to know you have a little extra protection on your back.
I would only consider buying it if you ride a sports or naked bike, that forces you to ride in a more agressive race position. If so, the protector will stay over your coccyx as its suposed to be. Otherwise it touches the bike seat when riding in a upright position, and it can feel unconfortable, because you will be sitting on top of it instead of protecting you coccyx.

Why not?
I don't see any reason not to buy it if you buy a KR-* back protector.

What difference it would make in an accident isn't clear, but it is exceptionally difficult for me to imagine any way it would make things worse.
