Makes the difference between riding and limping
I ordered the Airhawk R Cruiser seat pad to help me be able to get out and really ride again. I'm a Disabled Vet with chronic pain in my legs. The longer rides, 200-300+ miles, just couldn't be done anymore. I'd get off my bike and almost literally crawl into the house or hotel room from the pain.
The Airhawk has really, really changed that! I can now ride the distance and when I dismount my legs still work normally! I've tried gel seat pads and every other kind out there but they just didn't do the job. The Airhawk does. My legs work, my backside no longer feels dead, and my back doesn't feel like it's been beaten to death.
For anyone looking for a truly comfortable ride, this is the solution.
Yes, it's a bit pricey, but I spent the money because I've only got this one life to live, to ride, continuing to enjoy a life-long love of motorcycles and the open road. I don't regret purchasing the Airhawk and you won't either.

Good addition
I used this pad for half of a 3,000 mile trip. I ordered it about 1/3 of the way through my trip because the seat on my 2014 BMW R1200RT was starting to really get to me. It arrived promptly at a friend's house and I go tot use it for the 2nd half of the trip (some interstate, some twisties). After what I feel is a good test period I have to say that this a good addition to my long distance travel. There is a 60 day return policy (Revzilla honors) that basically says if the pad doesn't add miles to your ride, you can return it. Well I will not be returning it because it clearly added many miles before those "need-to-stop" stops. In addition, it eliminated my need to stand up on the pegs once in a while to get some circulation back in my derrière. Well designed. The medium fit nicely for my application. I am 5'9" 170lbs. Takes a little while to adjust right- I felt like I was sliding forward in the beginning few miles, but after moving it around a bit and letting out some more air, it was just right. Good way to spend $150.

Very good value seat upgrade
There are already a hundred recommendations for these seats, I just want to stress to any purchasers that you must not overinflate to get the best performance: it is NOT an air mattress, it's designed to augment the seat you already have, you should feel like you're sitting on your seat, just with support around the edges to keep pressure points dissipated.

This is by far the most comfortable seat pad I've ever used, I've tried all my friends, different kind of gel seat pads, beads, etc... This thing is awesome! the initial test was a 425 mile ride, when I got off the bike I felt like I had only done 100 miles, was ready to keep going, all my friends with gel seats were done, got up the next day and rode the tail of the dragon, again no problems, from there onto Huntsville AL, then to Talledega the next day, then 750 miles home split over 2 days, put a ton of miles on that weekend don't think I could have done that without this seat, totally love this thing, I highly recommend it. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny.

Great alternative to a custom seat
If I was planning to keep a bike long term as I did in the past, I think investing in a custom seat is a great option. But I am now in the mode where I find myself trading up every 2 to 3 years so I don't want to spend the big dollars on a seat that won't work on my next ride. This Airhawk is a great alternative and it works really well. You can vary the air pressure to your liking and alleviate those tender areas that can develop on really long rides. In terms of small vs large size, I have a BMW K1600 GTL and the large fits that seat size perfectly.

Good product
Works good for longer rides.I had to move it around until I found a good position to where I would not slide forward on it.

Saved my butt
I got this pad because my BMW K1200R stock seat causes me to slide into the gas tank, which is uncomfortable on the groin area during longer rides. After using the pad on a recent 20+ hour ride, I can confidently say that it solved the problem. There's no way I could have made that trip without it.

Cool Idea, Didn't Work For Me
I really wanted to like the AirHawk R. On my stock seat, after about 30 miles, I would get extreme pain in the tailbone and "taint" area. It was pretty much torture.

The AirHawk R seemed to fit the bill since it was supposed to address my exact issues.

Before anyone mentions the air pressure being an issue, I took one trip that was 3 hours. During that time, I adjusted the air pressure to pretty much every possible combination. The pressure points were still there, they just shifted a bit.

After that, I took it on a 9 hour day ride, same issue. I would have to stop every 20 minutes or so.

I did end up switching to a Mustang Wide Solo seat which fixed my issue 100%, but I do like that with the AirHawk guarantee, I am able to send it back without any trouble.

Worth a try I guess since you have nothing to lose, but if you're in a similar situation as me, the seat was the solution.

works well but price is ridiculous
The cushion is very comfortable, for sure. I can now ride for hours without pain or discomfort. However, seems hard to justify the price. While the cushion itself is of good quality, the mounting straps that come with the cushion are quite cheap quality and I dont expect them to last for long.

depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
It works for the passenger ok. I wouldn't use it for the driver as you get a floating sensation instead of a feel for the bike. After trying it I made up my mind to go for a custom made seat. The cost is quite steep for what you get as there are many air cushions out there for less money. For short trips this cushion may be fine but I do 17 to 19 hours day in the saddle and it just didn't work for me.

I saw all very positive reviews of the Airhawk wherever I looked online. The problem I had was figuring out which one to buy, since the differences are not clearly explained even on the Airhawk Web site. The video on your site is why I decided to buy from RevZilla. It clearly explained the models and their different features, which made it easy for me to determine which one I needed. Thank You!!

Looking ta the Airhawk site, there's two "Cruiser R" seats: the large at 14.5x14 and the small at 11x11. Which one is this? At the listed 14x12 this appears to be neither.

Hi there, what size would fit well on the ducati multistrada 2013?
Faizal B on Jun 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have a BMW R12RT. I have the airhawk R large and it fits my seat perfectly. Measure the length and width. Compare to air Hawks web site. Call them as well they are right on the money. Air Hawk does not sell direct, revzilla shipped it to me and I was using the air hawk in a couple days. It takes a little getting use to. You sit up a little higher. You want just enough air in the hawk to keep you off the seat. I rode 850 miles in one day with it
A friend of mine has the AIRHAWK R CRUISER SEAT PAD but it's different from the one pictured. His has the letter 'R' stitched into the cover and it doesn't have a red seam down the middle. I just want to make sure I get the same model since I've tried his and like it.
Is this a newer model or perhaps an incorrect picture?
Thanks for the help.
A shopper on Sep 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This is most likely a model year upgrade by adding the additonal stictching. Looks like the same design as previously advertised. Keep in mind that Revzilla will take returns and send another model should the item not work on your motorcycle.
I just bought the air hawk R... But need to know does the bubbles go up or down in the seat cover?
Carol D on Sep 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Bubbles go up and start with full pressure and then reduce until you find the comfort zone. The Airhawk R works best when the ride is squishy. It will seem strange at first but having just ridden 8,000 miles, the Airhawk R is better than any custom seats I have ridden.

What are the pros and cons of the poly mesh vs the spandex?
A C on May 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have had the the AirHawk 'R' for nearly 3,000 miles on my bike, and it is great. I can't speak directly to the differences, but I preferred the 'R' because it stays cooler under my butt. Disclaimers: the AIrHawk will raise your seat height around an 1" or so...I had to buy a taller windshield as a result. It does feel a little like a balloon under you, but it is worth it for the comfort IMO.
