It's the simple pleasures.
Yah, I ride an R6. Yah, my grips are made for dirtbikes. But touch it, I dare you. These are awesome for the everyday commuter. I don't need superb knee dragging feel. But, I assure you, I can feel bumps while I'm turning still. What I feel less of, is vibrations. And hand cramping. These have a slightly larger diameter, due to all that extra cushiony awesomeness. Had to cut the rubber cap off the ends, but that's ok. I had these once before, so I expected it. A little modification for an awesome grip.

Works well
Installed on aftermarket steel 7/8" bar mounted on FZ09. Needed slightly larger diameter/ softer grips to combat aching throttle hand. Mission accomplished; no more pain. Had to trim both ends of grips to fit available space on bars. Very easy with box knife and scissors. Little water on bar/ plastic throttle handle and both grips easily pushed on with hands. Let dry overnight and viola, both grips firmly mounted. No visible wear after 4500miles of use.

Great grip for the money
Excellent DS grip for multiple reasons. 1. Comfortable on and off road and 2. Able to fit over heated grips without having to buy 2 pairs and still feel the heat in your hands.

Perfect!
No, really, they're perfect and this is the first change I always make to all my bikes, new or used. Currently riding a 2015 Kawasaki Versys 650LT and vibration absorption is amazing, your hands will only start to get a little numb after hours on the road (not minutes). Also, for $10, they're a ridiculous bargain!

Oh what a feeling
I purchased these grips to replace the OEM grips on my 2016 Ducati Diavel Carbon. I wanted something with a bit more comfort than the stock grips. The Pro Grip 714 Dual Sport Grips delivered. They feel great! Although these are dual sport grips, in my opinion, I think they look great on my Diavel. Very easy to install and they work beautifully. Just my 2-cents

Easy Install on '09 BMW F800GS (with heated grips)
Just got these grips to replace old, worn out stock ones on my 2009 F800GS... Other sites/reviews seemed to think that removal of stock grips was difficult... That may have been true for others, but on my '09, it was easy and fast... Also, others seemed to think that you needed two pairs as the throttle side (24mm) was needed for both sides due to the heating elements... Well that was not the case for me... Using some cheap hair spray as lube/adhesive, I was able to use the 22mm on left and 24mm on right with no problem... Of course I followed the advice and bought two pairs, so now I have a backup set... I did have to cut the ends off to use with my bar ends, but no big deal.... Good, cheap replacement for the thinner, crappier stock grips...

Great grips and a resonable price
I've become a convert to these grips and have them on almost all of my bikes now. I have them on my 400cc dual sport and my 900cc cafe racer and they work great for both.

original grip is too small, both hands get tired very easily by holding it constantly, with a bigger diameter grips, my fingers doesn't need to hold tightly together, relieve a lot.
Peng C on Aug 1, 2016
Tried and true. I've used these on my Yamaha Raptor (ATV) for about a decade. Soft enough to absorb a bit of vibration, and contoured to the curve of the palm.
Rossicle on May 31, 2016
Most comfortable grips out there. I've used them on all my bikes for the last 20 years from a Ninja to a KLR650 to large sport-touring bikes. For street bikes just take a razor blade and cut off the large outermost flange.

Excellent dual sport grips! Isolates vibration from your hands and wrists. ProGrip quality and reliability! Highly recommended!
Paul B on Oct 29, 2014
Can't stand those skinny stock grips. I use electrician tape to build up the thickness of bars and silicone these grips to slide on easy. Fat and comfortable. Love em.

Bradley C on Aug 5, 2014
I've had a pair of 714 grips on my KLR650 for about 9 years and they're still amazing. Tough but with the perfect amount of softness. Plus the OD is spot on for me. This new pair will go on my DL650 VStrom.

What diameter bar does this fit? Also what is the length. They look nice and comfy abut don't have much data on them.
A shopper on Aug 15, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The overall length is standard and this particular grip is compatible with 7/8in bars.
What do y'all use as grip glue? What did you use to ease the sliding of the grips on the throttle side?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Believe it or not I always use high hold hair spray -- it is slippery going on, hold very well, yet is still easy to remove the grips with either compressed air or brake cleaner spray under the grip. Spray a fair amount of the hair spray into the inside of the grip then quickly slide it in place. One watch-out -- It dries fairly quickly so don't take to long when putting the grips on. Also always push the grips on from the rear/outside of the grip -- don't pull them on from the front/open side.

Also any hair spray that drips or runs can be cleaned up with rubbing alcohol.
Can I cut the ends off to accommodate hand guards without completely destroying the grips?
Zachary N on Sep 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes you can either cut the end completely off with a sharp/new razor knife, follow the groove at the end of the grip or cut an x in the end then push your hand guard insert into the bar. you may have to trim a little off the throttle grip so the throttle move freely.
I want to use them on a BMW F800ST.
A shopper on Jun 19, 2012
BEST ANSWER: before you remove the old grips, hold them up to the old ones still on the bike, and mark the correct length you need.

After you take the old ones off, I found the easiest way to get an accurate and clean cut, is to hold the ends up against the clip-on tubes, and trace a line around it.
Not all grips are the same, so some can just be lobbed off, and others have to have a hole cut out on the end itself.
Is this handlebar grip open-ended?
A shopper on Jul 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It's not open-ended, but the rubber end piece is very easy to cleanly cut off with an Exacto knife or similar razor blade. I removed the ends to accommodate a pair of Bark Busters, and the installation looks great.
What is the grip diameter?
Robert M on Aug 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I put a calipers on the O.D. of the grips (both control and non-control side).
The center (fat part) is 35mm. the ends are 31mm.

I run them on a Vstrom 650 and they are very comfortable. My barkbusters prohibit the use of bar-end weights and these absorb a decent amount of vibrations from the bars; so I can absorb the vibes from the ride!! Hope this helps!
