Nearly every motorcycle manufacturer has its charitable cause of choice.
Triumph’s partnership with the Movember Foundation might be the most prominent of them all. That’s because the two organizations have raised awareness of men’s mental health and prostate cancer by spearheading The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride since 2016. That trend will continue in 2025, but DGR isn’t the only charity ride on the calendar.
Last year, Indian Motorcycle partnered with Folds of Honor — a non-profit that supports the spouses and children of fallen or disabled military and first responders — for the Folds of Honor charity ride. The inaugural event was an utter success, with attendees raising $114,000, more than double the project's $50,000 goal. That outcome only paved the runway for Indian to raise its ambitions with a $250,000 fundraising goal in 2025. To help reach that goal, Indian is also donating a custom Sport Chief RT that will be auctioned off.
On September 20, U.S. Indian dealers will host local Folds of Honor charity rides. Riders can register and donate online now. If participants have any interest in winning a brand-new cruiser, it’s worth starting now, as Indian will reward the top fundraiser with a 2025 Sport Chief RT.
It isn’t the only bike up for grabs, though. Triumph will also give away four motorcycles, including a 2025 Scrambler 1200 XE Icon Edition to the highest global DGR fundraiser. Considering the 12th annual event is projected to attract over 100,000 riders from 1,000 cities on May 18, assembling a deep and diverse donor list is highly recommended.
While the odds aren’t in the rider's favor, the important thing is that each charity ride supports a worthy cause. In the end, helping the families of the fallen, as well as bringing attention to men’s mental health and prostate cancer, are the real rewards.
