New details on demo rides, rider training and moto vloggers at Get On! Motorcycle Festival

Apr 12, 2021

More details are out about the Get On! Motorcycle Festival at the Texas Motor Speedway next month. The event will be your first chance to see the Volcon Grunt electric off-road motorcycle, in addition to demo rides from BMW, Indian and Kawasaki.

The Get On! Motorcycle Festival in Texas is scheduled for May 21 through 23 outdoors on the 500-acre grounds of the Speedway in Fort Worth. Presented by RevZilla, J&P Cycles and Cycle Gear, the festival will be an inclusive event with something for everyone, from experienced riders to the moto-curious who haven't even bought their first motorcycle yet.

The premiere of the electric Volcon Grunt will be one of the unique events at the festival. Volcon is starting up production of the Grunt, a fat-tired, electric, off-road motorcycle that claims 75 foot-pounds of torque, a max speed of 60 mph and a range of 100 miles, all for a cost under $6,000. The Get On! Motorcycle Festival will be your first chance to see and test ride this new electric motorcycle. In addition to demo rides, representatives of more than 50 makers of parts and gear will be on hand to answer questions and experts from RevZilla, J&P Cycles and Cycle Gear will be available to help with installation.

Custom motorcycles will have a central role at the festival, which will host the exclusive U.S. qualifier for the AMD World Championship custom bike show, where you can see the work of top builders vying for a chance to compete on the world stage. The Sixth Annual Women's Motorcycle Show moves from its usual spot in Los Angeles to be part of the Get On! Motorcycle Festival this year.

Learning and growing as a rider is also part of the festival, regardless of your level (or lack) of experience. There will be educational activities for aspiring motorcyclists who want to take the first steps to learn to ride. Advanced riders have the chance to hone their skills sliding a flat-track bike at Johnny Lewis' Slide School on site, for an additional fee.

In addition to the chance to do some flat-tracking yourself, you can see how the American Flat Track pros do it as the Mission Foods Texas Half Mile presented by Roof Systems fires up at the Speedway Saturday night.

On Sunday, you'll have the chance to meet some of your YouTube favorites at the vlogger meetup. Participating are Blockhead, Jake the Garden Snake, Doodle on a Motorcycle, Her Two Wheels, Motonosity, Shadetree Surgeon, Walteriffic, Yammie Noob, the cast of Wrecked Bike Rebuild Garage and more.

Advance tickets for May's Get On! Motorcycle Festival cost $15. Tickets are $20 at the door. A SuperTicket for both the three-day festival and the Saturday night AFT race is $39 in advance. Children age 12 and under are admitted free.
