Manufacturers roll out promotions and price cuts in time for riding season

Mar 16, 2026

The days are longer. Flowers are blooming. Birdsongs fill the air. Spring is ready to round the corner, bringing with it (most importantly) riding season.

Whether you’re in the market for your very first bike or waking your iron steed from its months-long slumber, everyone likes a deal on a new motorcycle. Brands are banking on that, too, luring customers back to the dealership with new markdowns and incentives.

Let’s face it. Things are expensive these days. From groceries to gasoline, from housing to healthcare, from shopping to streaming subscriptions, prices only continue to rise. Add the uncertainty surrounding the war in the Middle East and gas prices, the tariff situation, and the fluctuating jobs market to the mix, and it's no wonder that consumer confidence is shaky and U.S. motorcycle sales slipped by 7.6% in 2025

OEMs aren’t just hoping those figures recover in 2026. They’re doing something about it by rolling out promotions just in time for riding season. You could be window shopping, you could be shopping in earnest, but these are the deals that are worth a look.

Added value and lower prices

Much has been made of KTM’s self-administration. Even more was made of its subsequent purchase by Bajaj Auto. And rightfully so. The Austrian marque continues to struggle under Indian ownership, a fact that was made all too evident by the company’s most recent preliminary sales report. Although KTM reduced its global inventory from 248,280 units to 147,027 units between 2024 and 2025, it still needs help moving bikes in 2026.

That’s where the new four-year Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty comes into play. Offered on street-legal ADVs, nakeds, supersports, supermotos, and dual-sports (EXC-F excluded) “starting from model year 2025 onward,” the program is aimed at further shrinking KTM’s current stock. It’s also an answer to the reliability concerns of customers, especially after the much-publicized camshaft issues from several years ago. That offer has now been extended to Husqvarna street-legal models, as well.

Instead of extending warranties, other manufacturers are resorting to good, old-fashioned price trimming. Honda, for one, is offering savings on several 2026 Sport and Standard models. Both the 2026 CBR650R E-Clutch ($9,199) and CB650R E-Clutch ($8,699) are reduced by $700, while the CB500R ($6,399) and CB500 Hornet ($5,899) benefit from $1,000 discounts. The CB300R’s price ($4,499) is slashed by $650, and the NX500 ($6,899) is $500 less than before.

Big Red isn’t the only OEM pulling out the sales tags. So too is Team Green. Like KTM, Kawasaki is also trying to clear old stock. Its tiered markdowns are proof positive. For example, 2026 KLR 650 customers can snag $500 of savings. If you’re willing to take a 2025 unit instead, your savings jump to $1,000. Those looking for a 2024 KLR save even more with a $1,250 rebate. Kawi is offering similar price cuts on everything from Ninjas to Zs to KLXs (full list here), but it's worth noting that the promotion ends on March 31, 2026. It’s not the only limited-time offer out there.

Royal Enfield’s 125 Years in Motion sales event will also run until the end of the month. Those looking to finance a 2024 or 2025 Hunter 350, Classic 350, Meteor 350, and Bullet 350 can take advantage of zero money down and $125 monthly payments (for 32 to 36 months). Available to customers who prefer to pay the bike’s cost up front is a $650 credit on the aforementioned 350s, as well as 2024 and 2025 Bear 650s, INT 650s, Continental GT 650s, Super Meteor 650s, and Shotgun 650s.

Ducati’s current promotion offers APRs as low as 0% (for highly qualified buyers) and no payments for the first 90 days on select 2025 Panigale, Multistrada, DesertX, XDiavel/Diavel V4, Monster, Streetfighter, Hypermotard, and Scrambler models. The special financing deal also ends on March 31. Ducati photo.

Finally, we have BMW. The Bavarian brand isn’t just promoting 3.9% APR or up to $1,500 off select 2026 F, K, M, R, and S series models, but also 0.9% APR or up to $5,000 off leftover 2025 models. The event doesn’t end until April 30, 2026, making it another great opportunity to get on two wheels, or get a new set of wheels, this riding season.
