Roland Sands (RSD) created and organizes the MotoAmerica Mission Super Hooligan National Championship for one reason: To race bikes that "don’t belong" on the track. That includes twins (750 cc and up), triples (under 901 cc), and even electric motorcycles, all without a race fairing or windscreen. It’s a formula that’s led to blockbuster showdowns on the circuit, but one bike has claimed the series title for two years running — Indian’s FTR.
To celebrate that impressive run, Indian partnered with RSD to create yet another limited-edition FTR. This time, with a dose of Super Hooligan attitude.

Race-inspired
The FTR x RSD Super Hooligan starts from a reliable base, Indian’s FTR R Carbon. That means the race-inspired trim comes equipped with fully adjustable Öhlins suspension and Brembo brakes. Not to mention the liquid-cooled, 1,203 cc V-twin that Indian lists at 120 horsepower and 87 foot-pounds of torque. Those provisions aren’t what puts the "special" in special edition, though.

In true Super Hooligan fashion, the latest FTR sports a fly screen resembling a front number plate and two tail-mounted side plates. For that extra bit of authenticity, the seat cowl also bears team sponsor logos from Drag Specialties, Progressive Insurance, and Medallia. Indian distinguishes all 300 FTR x RSD Super Hooligan units by stamping a serialized number on the tank console.

Thanks to components from Gilles Tooling, the commemorative variant does more than just look the part. Like the limited-edition FTR x 100% R Carbon, Gilles supplies an oil cap, radiator cap, and bar-end weights. However, the track-aspiring Super Hooligan also earns adjustable rear-sets. A standard-fit Akrapovič muffler further separates the Super Hooligan from its stablemates.

With an MSRP of $18,499, Indian’s ultra-limited FTR is $1,250 more than the $17,249 R Carbon trim. Considering its Akrapovič slip-on alone costs $1,544.99 from Indian’s accessories catalog, the package offers savings over a similarly equipped FTR. Super Hooligan super fans won’t have to wait long either, as Indian reports that FTR x RSD units are currently shipping to dealerships in North America.
