It's the kind of totally theoretical thing we motorcyclists might talk about around the campfire on a trip: If you had $20,000 to spend on three used motorcycles, what would you choose?
And because it's the kind of thing we'd talk about, it's a perfectly good topic for a Highside/Lowside podcast conversation around the virtual campfire. For this imaginary spending spree, your hosts Zack and Spurgeon are joined by Patrick Garvin of J&P Cycles, a man who has been through a lot of used motorcycles himself and brings a diverse array of personal preferences to the task.
The rules are $20,000 at listed prices, used bikes only, and the guys unveil their high-priced choice, a medium-priced purchase, and their least expensive pick. You may be surprised that adventure-riding fan Spurgeon was the only one not to choose an ADV bike for his most expensive choice. You also may be surprised by some of their lower-priced picks.
