In keeping with the budding tradition of ending each Highside/Lowside season by inviting an especially entertaining guest, Zack and Spurgeon welcome Alastair Fagan to the podcast.
Fagan's background in motorcycling resists efforts to be neatly crammed into a concise summary. He is the co-founder of the British motorcycle website 44teeth.com and before that he was Road Test Editor for Fast Bikes magazine. But his riding career goes back to when his father plunked him on a Yamaha PW50 and extends through motocross racing as a youth, a transition into roadracing in the British Superbike series and now, after seven years away from racing, is back to competition in the ABK Beer 0% BMW Motorrad F 900 R Cup, one of the BSB's support classes.
Zack and Spurgeon go back through the topics covered in in the previous episodes of Highside/Lowside this season to get Fagan's take. He plays the Moto Dating Game and chooses his Mount Rushmore-worthy touring engine choice. Do the British consider three-wheelers to be motorcycles and do they really hate electric motorcycles with a passion? And as for motorcycles that changed history, hear him tell of the very same Yamaha PW50 that was his first ride and his sons' first ride.
