You can easily find a lot of opinions about artificial intelligence, ranging from projections that it will usher in a new era of innovation and prosperity to predictions that the machines will eventually take over and exterminate us like useless vermin.
But this is Highside/Lowside, so what we really want to now is whether artificial intelligence knows motorcycles. More specifically, if you ask ChatGPT for motorcycle advice, will you get a response that's more artificial or more intelligence?
Common Tread tested ChatGPT as a contributing writer a couple of years ago and found it came up short. But in this podcast episode, Spurgeon and Zack, joined by Common Tread Editor Lance Oliver, ask ChatGPT for some advice to see if it's trustworthy. Then they grade the answers. As you'll see, there were a few hits and a few misses.
