Blake R: My other lens is scratched up and I need a new lens. I got the light smoke so that I would still be able to see at night if i don't have my clear lens with me.Sep 30, 2014
Sarah C: AFTER SEVERAL YEARS MY VISOR IS SCRATCHED UP A BIT. NEED A NEW ONE. I LOVE MY SCORPION HELMET AND WILL PROBABLY REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE NEXT YEAR. IN THE MEAN TIME, A NEW VISIOR WILL BE VERY NICE INDEED.Sep 6, 2014
Rick P: After 10+ years, my old one needed replacing.Sep 4, 2014
merrill e: the revzilla website was more user friendly than some others, and their prices were as good or better than their competitors.win win in my book!Aug 8, 2014
Brian S: I purchased the Scorpion EXO-700 shield for my older White Chameleon version EXO-700. I currently have the blue reflective shield and the gold shield should give the helmet a nice look too. It's still one of my favorite helmets, fit and style.Aug 3, 2014
margeaux h: Needed to replace my visor...Jun 13, 2014
Martin S: Needed to replace an existing face shieldJun 6, 2014
Scot Z: Because I love Scorpion helmets and need a dark smoke since my eyes have trouble with bright glare/sun.Jun 6, 2014
Kelli A: I chose the dark smoke because I drag race, and my home track is directly facing the sun in the afternoon.May 13, 2014
Robert S: When I first started riding last year, I spent DAYS just researching the right gear. Scorpion Synergy 400 had the right style and the perfect fit. I get compliments all the time. The helmet is light enough that my neck doesn't get tired and it performs perfect when the bike is screaming at 130+ mph. My negligence has caused the helmet to bump in to a few walls and the visor has some scratches, and I intend to keep this helmet for a long time, so I will gladly invest in new visors.Feb 24, 2014
Anthony E: Necessary replacement item.Jan 25, 2014
A shopper asked:Hi, I'm thinking what to get, light or dark smoke? Can you please advise? I just want it like a Rayban sunglass that has a gray tint in which I can see clearly but not too dark. Thanks.Sep 11, 2014
Rick P:I find the tinting on these shield fairly light. On a sunny day in Los Angeles (almost always) I still need sunglasses. I have been caught late at work without my spare shield and had to ride home at night with the tinted visor. It was totally doable in a pinch on a well lit freeway. I would advise against doing that regularly.Sep 25, 2014
John W:I use the dark. It is only too dark when the sun has gone down. If I'm going on a long trip I carry the original clear shield in my bag in case I end up riding at night otherwise the dark is great. Sep 11, 2014
Wilhelm K asked:hi! I was wondering if this face shield would fit the scorpion T-1200 freeway helmet or the T-1200 alias helmet ? and will it be possible to see my face through the dark smoke ?Jan 25, 2015
James L:I don't know if it will fit either helmet. Depending on the angle of the light people can kinda see you face, but not enough that they could I.d you. For the most part like 97% of the time no one can see you.Jan 25, 2015
Mariosoccercoach:went direct to the Scorpion official web site and found this answe
By nature a shield will filter some UV light, But we had our shields tested by an independant lab. What they found is our shield offers excellent UVA and UVB Protection; Clear shields block 96%-98% UVA-UVB light and Mirrored/Smoke shields block 100% UVA-UVB light. We also comply with VESC-8 Vehicle Equipment Safety Commission (Alexandria VA) for penetration resistance and shatter proof-eye protection.Apr 19, 2013
RevZilla:In sunlight, Scorpion's Gold Mirror Shield should suffice, stopping spectators spying said secretive self. However, if looming low-light locales appear, lookers-on'll likely leer, verily viewing your veiled visage.Apr 27, 2012
John B:I have the silver mirror shield but I'm assuming it's going to be the same. When I have the helmet on my bike and I flip the shield up, I can see through it and see parts of the helmet. However, for some reason when it's down, I'm not able to see inside when looking at reflections.
I've also checked it out in mirrors and it could be that with stronger lights someone may be able to see inside but it would be very vague.
You can pick your nose as much as you want with these and no one will know.Feb 25, 2013
A shopper asked:I am looking to purchase a an EXO 700 along with a lot of other gear for my first set of gear ever. I am wondering if this shield will be off similar color to the black helmet.Mar 4, 2012
RevZilla:The Dark Smoke faceshield will not offer the same color as a black Scorpion EXO-700. Faceshields just offer a tint, so it will make the screen darker but not similar to a solid color or paint scheme. Then you wouldn't be able to see.May 2, 2012
