Goes on super easily with no tools. Great visibility as well.
I bought the blue iridium finish. It provides decent shading from the sun, but is probably on the lighter side of the shade spectrum, which I view to be a good thing.
The field of view with this helmet is amazing.
It also makes this helmet look like the Daft Punk guy, which could go either way depending on your preference.

I bought the silver iridium flat face shield for my bell bullitt helmet and absolutely love it. It's the perfect darkness in tint to ease up the sun so I don't have to wear sunglasses inside my helmet. I also love the clean 'mirror' look from the iridium on the gloss black helmet. Worth every penny.

Perfect replacement or second shield
Ordered a second shield in smoke. It's not completely black, but it looks great on the helmet. Wish it was a little faster to swap them, but it's a small inconvenience.

RUTH T:Yeah what gives.I have a clear flat Im happy with, but I do wear sun glasses with it.I have 2 half helmet,s but I only wear my bell now. I found I was more constable with it because it doesn't move around and I have no vision restriction,s , no wind noise. but can still hear my bike. You need to ask Revzilla to try and ask the manufacturer for a yellow flat. Maybe you,ll get lucky.Jul 17, 2014
Austin J:I have used the Silver Iridium shield at night and I'll be the first to tell you it is NOT A GOOD IDEA. I unfortunately was caught up in something past sundown and tried to ride freeway speeds with the shield up but it was nearly impossible so I put the shield down. Your view is greatly reduced beyond safe riding. BUT if you can manage carrying the clear shield with you it's super easy to switch them back and forth. You can do it with a coin if it comes down to it. Otherwise, up to about 45mph riding with the face shield up is no problem. Anything above that the whistling wind noise is incredibly annoying and it pulls your head around - not to mention makes it difficult to keep your eyes open.Sep 18, 2014
wes s:I believe it is unlawful to ride with a tinted shield at night in California. If there is a will there is a way, I occasionally ride with a dark iridium or dark smoke shield at night but not by choice but because an unplanned event keeps me out past sunset. Constant shield swaps would be a pain in the neck and would not recommend this system unless you are a very patient person. Bells click release system found on their qualifier, vortex, rs1, and star helmets is amazingly effortless! Sep 18, 2014
Dan F:I have to swap out the shield to ride at night. It blocks out too much light for night riding. I would recommend picking up some locktite if you plan on swapping out the shields at all. First couple times I swapped out the shield, I almost lost the screws because they had come so loose by the time I had reached where I was going (just across town). Hope this helps.Sep 19, 2014
John M:I bought the clear flat face shield so I don't have any experience with the iridium or smoke face shield (although I was very tempted by the iridium). And I haven't even swapped out the original shield for the flat shield so I don't know how easy it is to make the change. Sorry I can't answer either question.Sep 18, 2014
Gregory Bevington G:Iridium and smoke are tinted, so it's up to you how well you'd like to see at night. You have to unscrew two screws on either side in order to change shields and I wouldn't recommend doing it frequently.Sep 18, 2014
