Could be good but has a fatal flaw.
Bought this vest at the beginning of summer 2016 to get a vest with some air flow for this Florida heat. I liked the vest at first. It has a great form fit and it does flow a lot of air so it's much cooler than my other hi viz vest. Over time it has really disappointed me for one simple reason- when velcro touches the vest, it pulls apart the fiber the vest is constructed from and leaves a terrible worn out looking spot with threads coming loose. Velcro is a part of riding. It's on your gloves, your back pack, everything. To make a vest that can be destroyed by velcro for riders is pretty silly, imo. I really like every other Rev It product I've ever had, but this one is a stinker. The reflective tape is also losing its reflectivity and looking worn out and damaged. This is after one summer of riding and exactly one cycle through a washer. Rev It, you can do better than this.

REV'IT! Athos Air 2 Vest
I'm 5-11, 190lbs and wear an AGV Sport Element Vintage leather jacket (size large), which I also purchased from Revzilla. I needed extra viz for occasional evening/night riding. This Rev'IT Athos Air vest does the job. I bought a size large and it fits well (snug) over the AGV jacket. It does not flap around in the wind and I quickly forget I have it on. When not used, this thin fabric folds away easily and takes very little storage room. I can't judge on its durability though. I've worn it only a couple times at this point...

Eye-Burning Yellow Adds Safety
The Rev’it Athos Air 2 Vest is a stylish, comfortable vest constructed of large mesh panels and reflective elements. The outer layer is a flexible, plasticy, zig-zag-patterned mesh that freely flows air. Underneath, there is an inner polyester mesh layer that is similar to the lining used inside of my motorcycle jacket and pants. The sides have black stretch panels that keep the vest fitted snugly over my jacket. The plastic zipper is hefty and includes a handy pull-tab. I’ve now worn the vest for 30 rides over 2 months, and the vest is holding up fine.
Sizing: I’m 5’9”, 155 lbs, 38” chest, and the medium fits perfectly.
Pros: The vest definitely increases my visibility and safety. Cars don’t follow behind me as closely as before. Unfortunately, distracted drivers will still not notice you.
Cons: The interior vest pocket blocks air flow, but can be removed. The inner mesh lining is unnecessary.
Overall: I recommend it.

minimalist vest, not a lot of bells and whistle..i.e. extra pockets - just want to be seen in the traffic

Needed a second vest for my wife's jacket for 2 Upping. Liked the style and fit of the original Athos, hopefully this one is just as bright!

Price seemed right for the most amount of Hi Viz I could get without going to a jacket.

If I normally wear an XL in a motorcycle jacket, what size should I get in this jacket if I plan to wear it over the motorcycle jacket?
A P on May 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I bought this a month or two ago and the sizing was kind of messed up I thought. I ordered what was available which was XL-3XL. I thought it was a "two sizes fit most" type of thing. Now I see they have all individual sizing. Anyway, I wear XL and bought XL and over the jacket it's pretty snug. I would definitely go up a size if I bought again. I may do that and give this to the wife.
Is the sizing unisex? Is a women's style available for the Vis Vest?

This is the new Athos Air 2. The predecessor, the original Athos, was a juggernaut. People love this vest. It comes in around the $60 mark. It performs well. This is how you add a hi-viz vest to increase your visibility with night time reflectivity in any riding scenario. This is a safety feature and a clear choice.

The new Athos Air 2 really just changes a few key things. You're going to see the angular nature has changed on the reflectivity at the shoulder. The neck cut out is a little bit more ergonomic. They've added an interior pocket. Other than that, that's it.

You're looking at a vest that's going to be PowerShell mesh. It's going to breathe. You're looking at a vest that has stretch along the sides,so when you buy it it's going to fit nicely and give you the give when you wear it over your motorcycle jacket.

Diving into some of the other nuances we didn't talk about, remember 3M Scotchlite throughout. It's not mil-spec because there's no pocket to display your credentials. Keep that in mind. It definitely has the Euro feel, YKK zips throughout. It's premium components, but there's not a lot going on here. It's basic. It should be very easy to understand why you would need these, why you would want it, and easy to make a selection on the one you would choose.

Notice the stretch underneath the right arm on the Athos Air 2 Vest from REVIT. That's it. That's all that's going on on the side. On the back of the Athos Air 2 Vest you will see the REV'IT! logo with a lot of reflectivity. You can see where the vest begins and ends and interfaces with the jacket.

If you open it up you will notice the mesh slip liner. That's going to be the pocket. That's the big addition here.

Athos Air went to Athos Air 2. Some minor tweaks. I don't want to seem like I'm diminishing it. This is one of the better selling European styled hi-viz mesh vests on the market. Keep that in mind. Using quality components from REV'IT!. They don't do anything half way.
