Great fit and finish
Installed this on my 2016 Tiger XR. Perfect fit! I used abs glue to mount it, eliminating the need for the screws. Just be sure to take some sandpaper to the shiny surfaces (inside of your fender and mounting area of the fender extender. I used the same procedure on a few other bikes with great results - held on for tens of thousands of miles with no issues.

Smart little money saver!
Used it as a fender extension on my Triumph Tiger 800 to prevent stones being flung up into the radiator. Good fit, easy install with provided screws (drilling required) and used Gorilla Epoxy to further increase bond between original fender and this extension. Seems to work just fine and I can highly recommend it. If you have an ADV bike and ride on gravel or off-road - that will / can safe your radiator!

Not so pleased
I had a 2012 Tiger 800 in 2015. It had a fender extender already installed when I bought it, maybe the Fenda Extenda. It was a good fit. When I bought the 2011 Tiger 800 I have now (long story) I liked the recessed upper portion of the Maier and bought it instead. Sorry I did. I am not a novice at installations and I found this installation to be frustrating and in the end not completely satisfactory. The reason is that with the unit I got, at least, the radius of the fender extender is marginally greater than the radius of the fender to which it has to attach. I could not snug it up close to the bottom of the fender and get a good fit. And I found that I could be flush with the fender on only one side or the other.

In the end, I mounted it so that it is flush left, but on the right side about 1/4" of the recess shows. Same on the bottom. I spent some time struggling with it, but to no avail. It was flush one side or the other and not on the bottom at all. If the radii don't match there isn't much you can do.

The instruction sheet didn't mention Tiger 800; it mentioned fitment on some other bikes, BMW 1200 GS to name one. Could be I got the wrong part, dunno.

I didn't send it back because it does the job and doesn't look bad. You can't see that it is flush left and not flush on the right because you can't see both sides of the fender at once.

But, yeah, it bugs me and at some point I will probably replace it.

Does anyone know if the '15 XR is the same as the '16 XR front fenders? Just want to make sure it will fit my '16 XR, but the '16 is so new it's now showing up on parts fiche for comparison.
