The GL1100 is an interference engine, which means if the timing belt breaks, your pistons will say "hello" to your valves. This is not a conversation you want them to be having. While Honda does not have a spec for when to replace the timing belts, if they are original do yourself a favor and replace them. Make sure to add two to your cart if you want to replace them both.
