James Clark was a motorcycle enthusiast who was dissatisfied with the gaskets he found available so he began to cultivate his own ideas for better sealing technology. He started the James Gasket Company in 1977, paying close attention to quality and fit. He gained a reputation for producing superior products as a result. James began supplying gaskets for a variety of Harley-Davidson models to an ever-growing group of enthusiasts and was credited with providing the much-needed sealing solution for the American V-Twin.

Before long, James Gaskets was producing the most complete product line of Harley-Davidson aftermarket gaskets and seals in the industry. Their reputation for producing superior gaskets, combined with his professional and personal ethic, earned the company respect of industry leaders. James has always been lead by his vision and his passion for the industry that he was so much a part of.
