The engineering on this product is fantastic. Its materials, the design and other features worth every cent. I really like its layers which help a lot in case it gets too windy and even if it rains. I fully recommend this jacket. I totally like REV'IT!

Although this is my first motorcycle jacket, I have been trying a lot before I bought it. But as as soon as I tried this one one, my mind was set.
Great fitting, confortable, 3 layers, great ventilation. The only down side was the back protection which I considered weak but I replaced it with the SAS-Tec one and now it is perfect.

Haven't had the chance to take this jacket out during the winter, but for summer and fall it's perfect. Great air flow for summer, on account of a lot of mesh and two important zipper vents. And, a nice thin liner for fall. I like the overall style but wish it didn't say REV' IT on the back...

the back protector is removable and can be replaced with the SAS-TEC with some minor trimming altho it will cut down a bit on the airflow. but protection is more important.

Answer:
the waterproof/windproof liner is the Rev'it hydratex liner. works pretty well for keeping you dry in the little storms and keeps the wind off you to keep you warmer on the cool crisp fall/spring mornings. the thermal liner feels like a synthetic thermal material but i couldn't tell you what it is. i don't often use the thermal liner cause it's a vest and does nothing for your arms.

The waterproof liner is Hydratex, and the thermal liner is Exkin. Exkin is half as light and half as thick as Thermalite, but 4-times the insulating property.

I need some help on sizing the Rev’it Ignition jacket.

I live in Mexico therefore this jacket will be primarily used for hot weather sans vest and liner
I like a snug fit on my sports bike.

Key dimensions are as follow

 Height = 5’10”
 Weight = 170#
 Chest circumference with T-shirt 41”, with T-shirt + sweatshirt = 42”
 Arm length from C7 across shoulder to thumb MCP joint = 33”
 Waist = 36”

I have reviewed over 50 web pages and it appears to me that the size chart provided by Rev’it results in one size too large. According to Rev’it my size would be #52 but my own analysis is for a #50. What do you think?

Thanks,

John Bell

Answer:
John,

We have a the same build except for the waistline. I have a 30" waist and my only complaint with the fit of the ignition was that it doesn't taper down enough at my waist. It has a straight cut. With your dimensions I'd say the 52 would be a perfect fit. There are adjustable straps as the waist that should allow you to fit it to your liking.

The arm length is good. I use this jacket with a pair of Monster gloves and they fit underneath the cuff perfectly and hit at the right height. Chest is also just right for me with a 41" circumference.

I've been using the jacket for a few weeks now, no complaints about the fit.

Answer:
In my experience, the Rev'it sizing is snug, Euro fit (meaning no room for a belly). My own calculations put me in a 48 which was right on for me (although if I've gained weight in the shoulders it feels a little cramped around the armpits, especially with the liner). The insulated vest doesn't change the fit much, but the liner does. If you like snug, don't have a belly, I imagine your sizing is spot on.

Answer:
John,

On my Rev'it Ignition jacket it runs large in the belly area. I am 6'2", 42" chest, 34" belly, 26" arms. Good news is if you have longer arms (like I do) Rev'It seems to fit well. If you plan on wearing this mostly with the two liners OUT then I would do one size smaller like you're thinking. I am certain you will notice the looseness in the torso area if you go by RevIt's sizing.

REV'IT! Jackets are European (slim) cut and generally more narrow in the shoulders than other brands. Please take this into account when choosing the appropriate size. Most riders with any body type other than "slim" would need to order one size larger than they typically might wear in other brands, if you are in between sizes, we recommend erring on the larger side. If you have any questions about REV'IT! sizing please call 877-792-9455 for help.

How To Measure REV'IT! Jacket Size

How To Measure REV'IT! Pants Size

SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements.  REV'IT! sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone

Mens Jackets

REV'IT! Size Chest (in) Waist (in)
46 35-37 30-32
48 37-38 33-34
50 39-40 34-35
52 40-41 36-37
54 42-43 38-40
56 43-44 40-42
58 45-46 42-43
60 46-48 44-46
62 48-49 46-48

Note that waist corresponds to "true waist" measured at your belly button. The waist measurement will not necessarily correlate to your jean size.

REV'IT is a European cut which tends to be narrow in the shoulders, chest and waist.

Sizing information is provided by the manufacturer and does not guarantee a perfect fit.
