Tough enough to be worn hard on any V-Twin yet stylish enough for your modern Trumpet, the Schott 141 is a perfect fit off the bike as well. The jacket is made from only the best naked cowhides. Its design is an exercise in form following function with a bi-swing back and underarm gussets to increase range of motion, while its adjustable stand-up collar, 26" back length, and side buckles allow for comfortable fit. The zippered sleeves, interior storm flap, poly twill lining and zip-out vest liner is meant to keep the wind out and maximize range of temperature control.
American made. American cool!
I have been looking at this jacket on the Schott website for several years. I needed a light leather jacket to wear mostly off the bike when I go out or I am in "street clothes". I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money but now I'm glad I did! This is one great fitting, cool looking jacket. It has a motorcycle jacket style but it's not out of place in a nice club or restaurant. The leather is butter soft and requires no break-in period. I'm 6' 0", 185 lbs. My chest measures 41 1/2". I ordered a size 42 and it looks like it was custom made for me. It is comfortable enough for everyday walking around use. If you do choose to ride in it, the jacket has plenty of flexibility in the arms and shoulders for riding an upright bike like a Monster or Bonneville. It would not be so comfortable on a serious sport bike. In a fall It would probably provide moderate protection from abrasion but not impact. It has no pads or provisions for pads. It's pretty warm with the liner zipped in. I have low cold tolerance and I'm comfortable to down around 40-45 degrees (walking not riding). One of the best things about this jacket is that is made in the USA! The quality is much better than other jackets and leather goods I've owned that were made in Italy, Eastern Europe and China. The price is really not out of line for a jacket that will probably last a 100 years. Don't wait like I did, buy this jacket today. You'll be glad you did.

Pretty much super badass
Back in 1999 when I bought my Scott 141 it sold for $400 and it's been worth every penny every day since then. I rode this jacket on my first cross country bike trip, 6600 miles, and only in the hottest days of summer did it prove too hot. As for the lack of armor, that's easy: I slipped on a Dianese armored jacket underneath with no problem. I lost the Scott zip-out vest years ago, but since it fits slightly large, it's no problem throwing on a hoodie underneath for colder days. The black leather has faded and patina'd beautifully over the years, and I look forward to the day that I hand this over to my kid. Totally worth the investment. Highly recommended.

Im not at all rich!!
I love this leather> I have a Harley Davison, my old Jacket was H.D. XL to big but the chest was right. I got a 44 in the schott 141 good fit. My chest size is around 22'' 3/4. This Jacket is not for the track. I don't want armer in leather. In the Bars women can't keep there hands off, on the road at a light got a blondes #.
If you want the best LEATHER go Scott
Open the hand cuffs zippers lets the air in.
con. Im 6' 1/2'' it rides right around the top of my pants belt, sit better out of attack position.
