Quality with style and durability
I have had my Schott's 641 Jacket for 50 years. I didn't buy it from Revzilla because the internet didn't exist, and neither did Revzilla. But they do, and if this one ever wears out I will buy the next one from Revzilla. And is still made right here in the good Old USA.

Super premium quality
I am 6'2" and weigh 205 with a 36 inch waist and wear a 35" arm length dress shirt. I purchased a size 46 and it fits great. Enough room for a light sweatshirt (with fur liner zipped in) and the arm length is perfect. It has a proper cafe fit but not a crazy thin taper. The jacket has bullet proof construction, is made in the USA and should last a lifetime.

the jacket is quality and comfortable
Bought this jacket without trying it on. Took the risk and I'm very happy I did. I'm 5 11" tall 33 waist and 42 chest. I really wanted a nice fitted looking jacket so ordered the size 42 and it fits me perfect. I only plan to wear this with a tshirt but there is still a little room left for maybe a thin sweater. But I think the zip out liner is more than enough to keep you warm if needed.
I recommend you order your chest size unless you want more room for extra clothing or warm gear.
The jacket rests just below my belt line and the sleeves are right on my wrist, not too long or short
It's better fitted to an athletic build.
The main zipper looks and feels really strong and stands out as its very silver. I am very happy with my purchase and revzillas fast postage. I only awarded low for airflow as there is no vents apart from the main zipper, but is the look I wanted. I don't think elbow protection could be worn underneath as the sleeves don't have a lot of extra room but the leather is thick.

Unbeatable Quality Jacket
This was the first motorcycle jacket I bought when I started riding back in 1999, and after 16 years it's still kicking strong. When I "upgraded" to a textile, armor-clad, more technical riding jacket, I felt like I was cheating on my wife. I still pull on the old Schott on weekends for kicking around town. It's got seriously heavy leather that's aged beautifully (with admittedly very little care) and all of the hardware still works perfect (YKK zippers, so you wouldn't expect less). And, it simply looks bad-a$s. I'm looking forward to the day I can hand this down to my son. Or daughter.

Just what I expected
Super fine quality construction and made in USA. Leather was actually not as thick or stiff as I expected - I have a Roland Sands Ronin jacket and might actually be a little thinner (but much better build quality). I have 38" chest, 33" arms and 31" waist. Found the size 38 too snug as I wanted a more relaxed around town, Off and On the bike fit, so went with a size 40 and it is perfect. Really impressed with arm range of motion as in my Ronin I can not lift my arm over my head or cross them (granted I bought a size Small which was a mistake). I am looking forward to breaking this in and making it mine!

High Quality is Schott
I have this exact jacket. I had it before RevZilla started offering them. I can say that Anthony is spot on in his descriptions of this jacket. It will out last me for sure. I love this jacket. I hope RevZilla will work with Schott and develop a "Ronin" style jacket in black and brown. That would be so cool. A nod to Roland Sands here, but this jacket should be in everybody's collection.

classic motorcycle jacket
I am 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 195 pounds. My chest measurement is just under 42 inches. In dress shirts I wear a 35 inch sleeve. The Schott 641 jacket in size 44 is about as good as it gets for me. I have room for a sweat top or light fleece if I want but the jacket looks and feels great with just a single layer. When riding the sleeves could be maybe a 1/4 inch longer or so but its really not an issue. The jacket is very well made and meets all expectations I had after watching the video and reading reviews else where. The jacket was fairly comfortable when new and after about 1400 miles on the bike it is already well on its way to being broken in. Very comfortable at this point.

Just arrived !!!
Fit - I am 5' 9", small boned with narrow shoulders / 42" chest / 32" waist / 33" stomach. I ordered the 42 and it is PERFECT. Adjusted the side buckles to the smallest hole. I like that the sleeves are rider length and do not stop at my wrists. I still have room for a heavy shirt if I want, but it feels great with just a t-shirt- vest liner in or out.

Can't say anything about riding in it, as it is too hot and I literally JUST opened it up and put it on, but I WILL say that the leather is amazing. Not as stiff as I thought it would be. Thick and sturdy. It will be a pleasure breaking this in over the next while.

Expensive? Yes. But I worked extra so I wouldn't have to pay out of my budget. And knowing I am wearing a SCHOTT gives me that extra mental "oomph". Who knows, maybe I will take more call and order a Perfecto next year.

Schott 641
Bang for the buck:
This jacket is going to last decades and will not go out of style so the value is worth the price tag.

Protection:
As most of you know this jacket cannot fit armor which is a major downfall for some. i was not looking for an armored leather jacket so it didn't affect my decision. That is the only reason I marked it at a 4. The leather is extremely thick, the stitching is top notch, and the zippers are industrial grade. I would have 100% confidence taking any slide with this jacket on.

Features:
I was looking for a cafe racer style jacket so all the features meet my requirements. 3 pockets and panels in the shoulder for some flexibility.

Comfort:
I love the stiffer steer hide. It feels like a sturdy glove.

Style:
In my opinion... this is one of the most stylish cafe racer jacket on the market. It's American made by schott which adds to the cool factor.

Airflow:
There is none. Which is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a jacket for cold weather that didn't have perforated inner arms.

Summary:
Buy this jacket if you want the top of the line. I have spent months researching leather motorcycle jacket manufacturers and schott is in my top 3. I purchased and returned the roland sands ronin due to lack of confidence in build quality and durability. You will have no doubts after putting this jacket on. The price is high but worth it when you consider that this jacket will definitely outlast jackets in the 500-600 dollar range.

Schott 641 + Knox Venture Shirt = style and protection
I ordered this jacket knowing full well that there are options on the market that are more protective, more feature-rich, and much less expensive. But I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase with one key caveat

I am 6'0, 185lbs, 41" chest and 36" true waist. I ordered the 42, and here is the caveat: when I go riding, this jacket will always be used in conjunction with a Knox Venture Armored Shirt that I purchased in Medium. All the points below are with the jacket worn over the Knox armored shirt.

1. Bang for the Buck: No Goretex, no localized laser perforation, no reflectivity, no built-in armor. So what do I get for $710? bomb-proof construction and materials, timeless styling and the name Schott. Two of those are intangibles and the other is only half-useful (slide but not impact protection). Hence the Knox armored shirt.

2. Protection and Durability: I have no doubt that this jacket will last me years, and that the heavy duty leather will protect me during a slide. But the lack of armor very nearly caused me to go another direction for my jacket. Should be 2.5 stars here (see caveat).

3. Features: The few features it has are very well executed. From the very cool stand-up collar to the sturdy YKK zipper, the zip-out liner to the buckle (not snaps and thank GOD not Velcro) side cinches, the beauty of this jacket to me is its simplicity.

4. Comfort: I'll be using this riding a standard/naked bike, so I won't have to lean very far for the bars. As I will be wearing it (again, see caveat), this jacket will be quite comfortable. The zip-out (vest) liner is a nice touch, but I wonder if I won't be leaving it out permanently and just throwing on a lightweight sweater instead. The leather is not as stiff as some reviews had led me to believe, and while it will still require some time to break in, it feels fantastic out of the box.

Style: Not much to say here. But some things I will point out is that the waist taper isn't extreme, the sleeves are not as slim (especially in the forearm) that some have mentioned, and overall I think it is a very flattering look. One thing that I have not been thrilled about is how the gussets sort of splay out and back at the top back of my shoulder, which I suspect may be due to the back protector in my Knox Venture armored shirt but hopefully as the jacket breaks in and softens up, that will settle down.

Fit: Again with the caveat that I am wearing this with a Knox Venture armored shirt, the fit is spot on. Tight-ish as a cafe racer jacket should be, but no part of my upper body feels constricted. Of particular concern was my shoulders, forearms and ability to reach forward. I can slip my arms in and out of the sleeves easily even with the sleeve zippers fully closed. I do not have Popeye forearms, but they are not skinny. With the armored shirt's elbow/forearm armor, I fit just fine in the sleeves. The shoulders are also adequately roomy, and the shoulder armor of the Knox shirt does not break up the lines of the shoulders at all. The only concern I have is the aforementioned back protector seeming to add some extra pressure at the top of my back and shoulders.

Air Flow: 1.3-1.5mm leather with no perf. I did not expect any airflow with this zipped up.

Why did you choose this?
RevZilla Store
Decided that if I'm going to get a leather jacket, I'd want the classic look but did not like the other options on Revzilla. While there are plenty of options that have gotten great reviews, are nearly half the price AND come with built-in armor (which is a must have for me), I wanted a sure-bet in terms of quality, longevity and style. The plan is to throw an armored jacket underneath for safety.

Any interior pockets?
Christopher G on Oct 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It only has one interior pocket and its sewn onto the zip out liner. It's leather and my large wallet fits into it just fine. There are the three other zip pockets on the outside. Once you take out the liner though there is no interior pockets. Hope that's helps you
