Great value for money
I was looking for a jacket like this for a long time. I usually do some street riding, a bit less of sport touring and I wanted something that should be a real "head turner" for reasonable sum of money. I want to look sharp on a motorbike and I am into more of a classic look of a jacket which could also look modern. I value my money and prefer buying all-round items which offer best bang for the buck, so this jacket filled the bill for me perfectly.

Choosing the right size was real dilemma. I usually wear size large but according to sizing charts form Revzilla and Joe Rocket's I was a bit off size L, somewhere between L and XL. Anyway, I am a bit over 200 lbs, almost 6'2 tall, athletic built. My measures for chest were for the L, waist in the XL as well for the sleeve length. (43", 37", 34.5) I've chosen size L, since I contemplated that I would have more trouble with longer sleeves and fluffy leather jacket around me then losing some weight. I was right, and when jacket arrived, the L fit me just perfect!

Anyway, about the looks: I stated above that I prefer classic looks with some modern touch. This is a kind of jacket that you can take on your track days, do some sport touring, and still take the protectors out and wear it on the Friday night. It does everything so well, it 'snot so flashy and sporty like most modern, tight motorcycle jackets which cost arm and leg to buy, make you feel tight like a robot in armor and look like you came for couple of drinks straight from race track and look like a weirdo.
Saying that, jacket is a head turner and you will get used by the time to compliments from the others.

The leather feels durable and sturdy enough to offer enough confidence in case of a crash, and at the same time, soft enough to be worn as a casual piece of garment. That is if you take the protectors out before that, but surprisingly it won't look strange either if you leave them there. Protectors are not state of the art highest rating but they are very good, nevertheless, especially in the elbows and shoulders.

Not lot of pockets, however, sides of the jacket which could be easily zipped of and offer additional cooling are great feature. A zipper on the bottom enables you to zip the jacket to models leather pants which have the same feature.

I still haven' t had opportunity of testing the jacket in the summer, however in colder weather, with the liner in place it offers decent protection, except for the small round area in front of the chest where you can feel cold air at higher speeds.

All in all, great product, excellent value for the money, competent in every area but doesn't excels an any particular. You should keep your expectations moderate, though, if you want top specs protection, look somewhere else, but keep in mind that that kind of jacket would cost much, much more.

Kudos to Revzilla, for managing to put very competitive price for this item, managing shipping to Eastern Europe in appropriate time and providing prompt email support during the process on every question asked, sometimes replied in couple of hours.

Looking forward to my next purchase from them.

Excellent Value
Just received my jacket this afternoon and couldn't be happier with the fit. Being 6'4, it's hard to find jackets that fit, but the Sonic jacket fit perfectly. I did have to go up to a xxxl instead of my normal xxl to have room to wear layers underneath if needed. Construction of the jacket seems sturdy and should last as long as my last Joe Rocket jacket did, 12 years.

Solid
It's made of good heavy, flexible leather with sturdy zips and snaps. Two side pockets and one inside breast pocket. Snap collar, zip and snap cuffs and velcro waist adjusters on left and right sides. The spine armor extends to my shoulder blades.

The tall size is really tall. The XL jacket fit me, but the XL Tall was too long. I wear a Large Tall shirt; I'm 6'4", 230 pounds and slightly paunchy. I wanted a little room in the jacket for layering.

The mesh panels under the arms move a good amount of air, so in hot weather it's comfortable at speed but fairly hot when sitting at a stop light or walking around. Uncovering or covering the mesh panels is simple, but you have to take the jacket off first. The covers are fabric, and fit easily in a pocket when not in use.

Great Solid Jacket for Tall Person
Just received the jacket. Have not and hopefully will not crash test it, but i can say its very good quality. Very thick leather, well put together. Only down side is there is no rib protection which would really make this jacket complete, but there is spine, shoulder, and elbow protection which all feel sturdy. Happy with jacket, especially since this was one of the only ones i could find in a tall size and not spend a ton of money. I'm 6'4" and 195 lbs. Ordered a Large Tall and it fits like a glove. Probably enough room for for 210 lbs person as there is a little room but not much.

Great jacket for tall guys.
I'm a big dude (6' 5" 270 lbs broad shouldered with a 48-49 inch chest and a bit of a belly) and I've had trouble finding a jacket that's long enough to fit my sleeves and torso without also being made for somebody much rounder than I am. Every jacket I've tried has been too loose and has filled up with air like a big leather balloon while I'm riding. I ordered this jacket in an XL Tall and the fit is perfect for me (I like my riding jackets snug). It feels like it was custom made. Before I ordered I had my measurements taken and the size chart is dead on. If you're looking to layer order a size up. It has a nice zip in liner and is warm enough down to about 45 degrees. There are huge zip off panels that expose mesh vents all along the side and under the arms so I imagine it will stay plenty cool in the summer as well. There are also velcro adjustments around the waist and adjustments in the crook of the arm so there won't be any material flapping around. This is an excellent quality jacket made with nice heavy leather and I'd easily have paid $100 more for it so great value as far as I'm concerned. Overall I highly recommend this jacket, especially for tall guys.

Great for the price
I'm a very big guy (6'3", 300+lbs). The sizing does indeed follow your shirt size pretty close. I have worn this jacket for 1 full season, riding in everything from 50 degrees up through 95. Between the zip-in panels under the arms, and the removable liner, this jacket has done me well from early spring through late fall. Up in the high temps, it does get a bit warm, but the airflow keeps everything tolerable as long as you are moving. When standing still in traffic, you'll get warm (as you'd expect in a leather jacket.)

I would go out of my way to get this jacket again, after I finish giving my bike a rider-upgrade. It's comfortable in most temps, allows for good mobility both on and off the bike, and doesn't look half bad.

great option for tall riders
Bought this because i needed a tall model. I'm 6'4" 205-210lb with 43" chest and the Large Tall fit perfectly. The length is ideal. The jacket fits PERFECT over a tshirt which is the way I plan on wearing it. If i needed to ride in colder weather with a sweater underneath i'd probably go for XL Tall size.

The jacket is quite stiff. I'm hoping it breaks in over time. Good amount of reflective piping as well. Shoulder and elbow padding feels pretty solid, but back pad should probably be replaced with something a little sturdier.

overall quite happy iwth my purchase. The fit is really good.

Great bang for the buck!
This is a great jacket that does not break the bank. It flows pretty well, I have used this jacket in 85 + degree weather and felt a nice breeze from the vents, while I felt secure with the level of protection. I use this jacket with Joe Rocket Pro Street pants. This is a great combo, as the jacket has a 360 degree zipper the allows you to attach the jacket fully to the pants. I really like this for highway riding, I feel safe and secure with this outfit. Quality was better then expected.

What a jacket!
I am 6'2" 215lbs ordered an xlt. I have problems with jackets being long enough in the arms. This one fit the bill perfectly. The leather is thick and durable but not stiff. Has a nice option for when it gets real warm to unzip the sides on the non perf jacket. Flows enough with the side panels in. Kept my upper body warm in high 40's low 50's.
Protection is great an comfortable. It doesn't make u feel like a robot like other armor. If you remove the pads you'll find you still have plenty of padding where the protector pads were. Cons was that it didnt have a full quilted liner as it only had a removable vest liner. More than satisfied tho!

XLT and LT fits a muscular 6'8 230/204cm 105kg proportionate guy.
According to the size charts it would be very big over the chest, a bit too small over the waist and to short in the sleeve (and still be the best alternative to my stature).
None of this is true after careful measuring, I'm sorry I don't have the measurements on me.

With XLT can fit a thick sweater underneath, I doubt I coult with LT though.

All of the protections is removable which they don't seem to mention.

I am 6'4". I enjoy the sport styling of this jacket, but they typically are too short in my arms and waist, which has prevented me from buying one. I asked many, many shops if there is a TALL option. Every single one said NO. RevZilla is the ONLY place I could get a TALL size. Called and spoke with a genteman with RevZilla. Helped me decide which size would best suit me.
Cant wait to try it on. Thank you

Here features only list 8" rear zipper for pant attachment. Other sites say 360 degree plus 8" for pant attachment. Which is it? Does it have a 360 degree pant attachment zipper?

Thanks
A shopper on Apr 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There are two zippers one 360 one and one 8 inch.
does this jacket come with back protection or do I buy it separate?
demetria w on Oct 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it comes with back protection as well as elbow and shoulder. They aren't the highest quality but the do the job and are replaceable if you want to upgrade later.
i am 6'4 about 175lb, which size should i get? MDT or LT?
Yu M on Mar 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have an athletic constitution (5'6,174 lb) and I bought S size. I think, you have to buy LT, because the jacket is "fit" and you are tall. That is my advice, but if you like the "fit clothing" maybe you have to buy the MD size. Regards.
Thinking of a medium tall in the Sonic. I have a Phenix mesh in a large tall and it is a little big in the chest. However the waist is good. Problem is my waist is a little bigger than my chest. If this jacket does not tapper down too much the medium might work. Can anyone tell what the fit is like? Anyone with a medium, what is the biggest waist you think it can fit?
A shopper on May 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am about a 48 chest and the large is a little tight on me. This jacket does not really tapper all that much it mostly relies on the velcro adjusting straps on the waist band. my waist is a 38 and it has room to go up if needed but is still pretty snug. I am 5'10" on the nose and it is a little short but not enough to make a difference in protection. It is also tight on the arms if you have big arms like I do. Not to the point of being uncomfortable but on the lines of race wear tight.
Would this be warm in the winter real warm?
A shopper on May 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: IF you are asking if you can wear it alone bellow 32°F, the answer is no. I have worn mine with a good thermal and a scarf and was comfortable while my hands in standard gloves were turning blue (literally). It does come with a removable vest liner but, I prefer to take it out and use an under layer that covers my arms.
I noticed the size chart does not provide measurements for the Tall sizes of the Jacket. How much longer are the sleeves and body on the tall sizes?
A shopper on Feb 27, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The Tall sizes on all Joe Rocket jackets add an additional 2 inches to the length of the sleeves and 2 inches to the height of the torso.
Hi all. How does this jacket hold up in winter rides? I live in Vegas and have to ride in early mornings for work (34-40 deg F at its worst). Thanks!
Tim M on Sep 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The lack of a liner down the sleeves makes the jacket a bit too cool for me unless I am layered underneath. I have ridden in those temperatures in the morning, but only for a short distance (about 5 miles). I would not want to ride much more than that.
I am about 6'4 and 175lb, what size should I get? MDT or LT?
A shopper on Mar 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I am 6'4" tall but a broad shouldered guy. I am a fit 215 pounds and 36 waist. I bought the XLT due to the width of my shoulders and my 45 chest. It is a tight fit but that is what I wanted in this jacket. I have two other more touring and leisurely riding jackets.
The best part is the tall size jackets are two inches longer in sleeves and torso length. My sleeve length is 37.5 and neck is 17. The XLT sleeve length is actually a bit too long for me!! Awesome.
FYI, I called Joe Rocket directly and asked about sizing. My guess is you may want the LT unless you have very slim shoulders and chest.
Great jacket and I really appreciate Joe Rocket making true tall sizes.
I am 6ft tall waist is 41. Will a size 3x fit me?
A shopper on Nov 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am 5'10" and have a 38" waist and I wear a xl so I would think the 3xL would be a bit big but definitely not to small.
Are the elbow and shoulder pads removable? or upgradable?
A shopper on Apr 30, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The armor found in the Joe Rocket Sonic 2.0 Leather Jacket is removable.
