Great jacket for the taller guys I'm 6'3", and about 195 lbs, and wear a 42L suit. The large tall fits great on me. The back goes down past my belt on my bike, so there's really not much more I can ask for. Overall fit is a touch loose in the midriff, but not bad overall. I see people mention that the jacket only has 3 pockets, but they are well sized. The leather is nice and soft for a comfortable from day one. I can only assume that it will break in nicely with some more wear. I wish it came with a CE rated back pad, but the price is still good for a comfortable jacket with classic or subdued styling depending on what camp you're in. August 24, 2015
Exactly what I was looking for I'm extremely happy to get what I was looking for being a large fit always concerned to order online that item won't fit properly. August 3, 2015
Great style and comfort Great jacket for the money. I love the styling and comfort. Only complaint is the lack of usable pockets. But of course that is a choice I made by choosing this style. May 16, 2015
Great jacket for tall riders I am about 6'6 and 200lbs with long arms and bought an XLT and it fits pretty well. I could use a little bit more length in the torso and a little less stomach space, but overall looks good and fits well. It is a bit hard for me to find proper fitting jackets because I am really tall and skinny. The protection pads all fit well and you can also easily remove them. Since this is mesh leather there is pretty good airflow, but in the end this is black leather so it can get pretty toasty during a sunny day and at a stop light. If you are in movement, you get a really nice breeze. June 29, 2015
Great Jacket! If you want a great looking leather jacket for the summer with 80+ degrees this is the jacket. June 29, 2015
Really great jacket I've had this jacket for a little over two weeks and have ridden in temperatures ranging from 75 to 40. It's been all around great, fits my tall lanky frame just right. The back pad is a little agro but I wouldn't really call that a complaint. I may swap it out for the one in my other jacket. My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is that it could use another interior pocket. Great product, highly recommend. April 27, 2015
Finally, a sport jacket cut for the "stout" crowd Just got my jacket and have only worn it twice, definitely not a cool weather jacket. that being said, there is plenty of room for under layers, very generous waistline to accommodate a belly. The leather is soft, and the arm venting has me looking forward to warmer weather riding. very happy with this jacket so far April 13, 2015
Great looking jacket for a great price I'm 6'2", 190lbs and originally bought the medium jacket. It turned out to be too tight and too short so I switched to the large tall. It fits great and looks great. The sleeves come just to my wrists and the bottom of the jacket reaches the top of my pants. I feel very protected although I've only been able to use the jacket a few times so far. Air flow is good such that I was a bit chilly riding in 60F temps. Two big pockets allow ample space for me to put my little pouch containing my documents (about 3" x 4"). The shoulder pads feel a bit bulky and heavy but that seems unavoidable if one desires good protection. April 26, 2015

Andrei Rodolfo B: I have an athletic constitution (5'6,174 lb) and I bought S size. I think, you have to buy LT, because the jacket is "fit" and you are tall. That is my advice, but if you like the "fit clothing" maybe you have to buy the MD size. Regards. Mar 18, 2014
Brian K: I'm 6'4 and 190 lbs. The MDT fits me like a glove. Mar 18, 2014

Brooks C: I'm about 6'1, 175 and I got a medium tall. My arms and my torso are longer than average for my height and that jacket fits great. If you have average porportions, with your 3 additional inches in hieght, it should work out great for you. Definitely don't get a large you'll end up with too much extra material around the chest and belly. I can fit an extra layer under the mdt as is. Great jacket. Mar 18, 2014

Antonio C: I would go with a large I have this same jacket and it will fit pretty tight when you first get it. It will stretch out to where you want it. Mar 18, 2014

A shopper asked: Thinking of a medium tall in the Sonic. I have a Phenix mesh in a large tall and it is a little big in the chest. However the waist is good. Problem is my waist is a little bigger than my chest. If this jacket does not tapper down too much the medium might work. Can anyone tell what the fit is like? Anyone with a medium, what is the biggest waist you think it can fit? May 6, 2015

R E: I am about a 48 chest and the large is a little tight on me. This jacket does not really tapper all that much it mostly relies on the velcro adjusting straps on the waist band. my waist is a 38 and it has room to go up if needed but is still pretty snug. I am 5'10" on the nose and it is a little short but not enough to make a difference in protection. It is also tight on the arms if you have big arms like I do. Not to the point of being uncomfortable but on the lines of race wear tight. May 11, 2015

Andrew L: I bought a large tall because I am 6'3", 160# with apelike arms and a 34" waste. My wingspan is about 7 inches longer than I am tall. The jacket fits perfectly all around. In the video breakdown they said it was an American Cut which I worried would mean it's super boxy but was surprised to find I didn't have to cinch the waste all the way down and if I wear it with a thermal hoody then I actually have to let it out a little so it's not so snug. Floyd E: This jacket doesn't taper too much, I have really wide shoulders and long arms. But there is an adjustment at the waist if you buy a size larger. Btw for those cooler rides it might be better to order a size bigger to throw your favourite hoodie underneath. I'm 6'2" 260lb with a 73" reach and I ordered the 3xl tall and I still have room for a sweater or light jacket. Hope this helps May 6, 2015

Lucas p: Hi there! My measurements is below, and it fits with a certain gap, there's a lot to adjust.

I'm 1,79m
Chest 97cm
Waist 97
sleeve 88cm

I hope this help you.

Tod C P: I am 6'4" tall but a broad shouldered guy. I am a fit 215 pounds and 36 waist. I bought the XLT due to the width of my shoulders and my 45 chest. It is a tight fit but that is what I wanted in this jacket. I have two other more touring and leisurely riding jackets.
The best part is the tall size jackets are two inches longer in sleeves and torso length. My sleeve length is 37.5 and neck is 17. The XLT sleeve length is actually a bit too long for me!! Awesome.
FYI, I called Joe Rocket directly and asked about sizing. My guess is you may want the LT unless you have very slim shoulders and chest.
Great jacket and I really appreciate Joe Rocket making true tall sizes.

Brian H: In your case I would go with XL long, but I like my jackets to fit a little big with leather for the room. If you like a tight fit the lg would be good but for sure go with the Long for your height Mar 19, 2014

A shopper asked: Here features only list 8" rear zipper for pant attachment. Other sites say 360 degree plus 8" for pant attachment. Which is it? Does it have a 360 degree pant attachment zipper?

Thanks

Tim M asked: Hi all. How does this jacket hold up in winter rides? I live in Vegas and have to ride in early mornings for work (34-40 deg F at its worst). Thanks! Sep 25, 2014

Scott C: The lack of a liner down the sleeves makes the jacket a bit too cool for me unless I am layered underneath. I have ridden in those temperatures in the morning, but only for a short distance (about 5 miles). I would not want to ride much more than that. Sep 25, 2014

Tim M: With the winters I usually ride with the "freeze out" shirt/pants from Cyclegear. Thanks for the quick reply! Sep 25, 2014
