Icon Classic Face Shield I got the mirror-type reflective shield. Looks great! Noticed halos around lights at night, which I don't think is caused by fogging. But this will probably go away after I was it with some warm water. I got this as a replacement for an identical face shield, and the difference is huge! So clear and nice! Over time the reflective paint will strip away though, and the reflective faceshield will turn into the normal shaded faceshield. Although we are talking about couple years of daily use, and many-many times of washing the shield from bugs and road grime. April 9, 2012
Good product but not perfect. I purchased the mirrored shield and the coating has held up very well. The shield works well in all types of light and makes it much more enjoyable riding on very bright days. My only complaint is that when the sun is at about 10 or 2 o'clock I can see my face reflected as if the mirrored side was facing in. Besides being distracting it blocks my view. August 22, 2011
great product these faceshields are the best, i purchased the mirrored tint faceshield, it protects your eyes from the sun and you can see at night, plus no one can see your face, only downfall its a little on the high side at $40.00 so if you drop your helmet and crack the faceshield thats $40.00 down the drain July 12, 2011
OK, but could be darker... This shield is optically excellent, and we could not see any defects at all. It is very easy to install and remove. It's thickness is average at best, so it is a bit flimsy. Not greatly so, but it's not as stiff as some other makes that we own. Our only mild gripe is that the dark smoke version we ordered could have been darker. Of all our other dark smoke shields we have, this shield has the least amount of tint. Overall, it's OK for the price, but we feel that it could have been darker. Therefore we will rate it average at best. July 4, 2011
Light Smoke Face Shield - Great for day, great for night Light Smoke Face Shield changes the whole appearance of the helmet, for the awesome. The clear shield is fine but the tint adds to the riding experiance. During the day, the sun's glare is cut down which allows you to ride safer ('cause your not putting your head down to avoid the sunlight) During the night rides you don't get those blue lights killing you. The light smoke works for any time you ride. As for the change out, it's just to easy. It your thinking about picking one up, go for it. June 13, 2011
Excellent product a bit pricey Excellent fit on my ssr helmet the color green worked well with the Icon day of the dead helmet theme. Still a bit pricey at $35.00 June 13, 2011
Green looks great I ordered the green visor to go with my green helmet. I makes the helmet looks awesome. Very easy to get off and on the SSR Alliance helmet that I have. July 26, 2010
Great shield Pros Seals around the face port better than my Arai. I also like the ratchet system better than the smooth close and lock system of the Arai. Seems rugged enough. Cons Doesnt intall as easy as an Arai. I get a reflection on the INSIDE of the smoke shield. Not sure if the Aria is darker, differnt material or what. September 21, 2009
