I bought the jacket exactly according to the specifications offered by Alpinestars and I will admit that it feels a little tight in some areas such as the shoulders. However, I have been told several times that leather motorcycle jackets actually expand so I am not overly concerned. As for the aesthetics the jacket does look stunning. I put the jacket on along with all my gear then stared at myself in mirror and was almost compelled to go fight crime. The bio armor is in all the right places and is definitely a confidence booster when you’re riding in the twisties. Someone previously mentioned this, but it is also one of the few jackets available from Alpinestars that is blacked out (or murdered out as like to say on this site).
The airflow is fair given the limited amount of perforation, but this was to be expected. If it gets really hot outside and you are riding at speed just tilt your helmet to the left/right to let some air run down your collar and the whole jacket will cool down in seconds. The insulation is made of quality fabric and adaptable to any whether condition as you can pull the liner out with ease. The one thing that rally appealed to me were the robust zippers. They feel rugged and tough. My last jacket had serious issues with the zippers but I was reassured by the fact that Alpinestars will even repair or replace your jacket if any of the zippers fail.
In summary, I would not hesitate to recommend this jacket to another rider. The price tag is a little steep but rest assured, it’s quality you can feel.

I'm about 5'8'' - 150lbs with an average/slightly athletic build. I bought this jacket in a 48 Euro and the fit is slightly tight around the chest and armpit areas. The waist is pretty loose, but the Velcro adjustments work well. The size 50 may be a better size for everyday riding.
I love the look of the murdered out black, and would recommend this jacket to anyone.

This jacket is comfortable and seems very protective. The armor in the shoulders and elbows is quite flexible. I added the bionic chest protectors and the bionic air back protector insert, although I will probably continue to wear a standalone back protector instead of the insert.
I am 5'-10", 135 lbs and I ordered a size 48. The jacket fits well, keeping in mind that the fit is relaxed by design. There is enough room for the armor and a couple of (thin) layers (including the thermal liner) but it still feels reasonably snug around the chest and arms - it's just a little looser around the waist.
The quality of the materials and the general fit and finish are excellent, which is what I expect from A*s. Overall, this seems like a protective jacket with a more relaxed fit that feels like it could be used through a wide temperature range.

I had to order the 60 to fit my chest but it fits very loose around my stomach. I have it tightened all the way with the side straps and still have about 2" of extra room that I wish I could take in.

one of the only completely blacked out jackets you can get and that is a plus sometimes. The fit for me was beyond excellent. it may partly be coincidence but I have taylor fitted suit jackets that don't fit me this well. that means wherein it and moving about in it is as if you are not wherein it. If I stop riding some day I will take the armor out and continue to where it as a typical leather jacket. it is a very nice fit with trim european cut. I did have to go three sizes larger than I normally go to get the room across the chest but once I did it was great.
it flows a lot more air than I expected, it is not as much as a mesh jacket but lots of perf and the stretch inserts in the inside of the sleeves and it is right nice cool.
I like subdued colors not it doesn't have to be all black but I don't prefer bright blues reds and whites etc.. there are just not that many jackets that have a toned down color scheme on them. I got the blacked out (murder black) one as a compromise and I love it.
it has a fair list of technical features about it and it is one of the jackets with longer list that doesn't also have a race hump. I like the upper end features and protection but not a race hump or bright loud color scheme. if that is you I think you will be happy with this jacket.

Pro's Its a really nice jacket that feels rugged and strong. Has nice material on the end of the sleeves that is comfortable. Lots of pockets and the liner works well. For the price its a nice jacket with nice style. I personally bought this one because it didnt have a big Alpinestars white logo all over it. I can actually wear this one out as a casual jacket.
Con's The new Bio armor is good but a little stiff. You need to make sure you get it set in the jacket in the correct place. What is good for riding is not really good for walking around. Not bad but not great. Leather is mid grade and a little stiff. Will take some conditioning and wear to get soft. The exterior waste adjustment is what is holding this jacket back. I wear a 54 and like a somewhat snug lower. I have the strap about halfway snug and there is about 1" of leather that is folded up. It looks bad and is not really comfortable. It is just a really bad design. If you do not need that feature you will be good to go.

This jacket looks great, but I had to send it back and get a smaller size. Thanks to Revzilla's exchange policy getting a smaller size was super easy. The waist on this jacket seems out of proportion to the arm size, tight in the arms and relaxed in the gut. This jacket is great for relaxed street riding
