Alpinestars Black Shadow Phantom Jacket
Feels like a million bucks!
Alright, gents. After nearly a month of trying on a few different jackets, I finally got it right with the Black Shadow Phantom.
I'm 5'7" on a good day, 200 lbs, wearing a size 54. Plenty of room in the chest, back, the midsection is tight, but that's my fault, not the jacket. Good feeling all over, feels thick, solid, and tight.
My only concern is that I thought my biceps would have trouble fitting, but they fit fine. My forearms were quite snug and a bit uncomfortable. The inner mesh lining bunches up in the sleeve and then I have to rearrange it a bit. Perhaps after some break in the sleeves will be more comfortable, this is day one so far.
Despite the fitment issues with my forearms, and the incredible amount of strain and struggle there is when removing the jacket... It's everything I thought and MORE.
I feel invincible with this thing on, and although I hope to never find out how invincible this thing is, I at least LOOK invincible with it on. I didn't like how most of the Alpinestars gear had incredibly garish branding all over, so this jacket caught my eye, truly a elegantly savage piece of gear. Other jackets will make you look like a Power Ranger, Evangelion pilot, or super hero, but this makes you look like a super villain. If you have some good in your heart, anti-hero would be acceptable.
Forget the rest, pony up the bucks and get this NOW.

Great Looking Jacket
I don't know if I am experienced enough to give a helpful review but here are some things I noticed about this jacket. I loved the way it looks. I hate big logos and all the different colors on a jacket. I don't like wearing someone's logo and being their advertisement. I mean, I paid for the jacket and not the other way around.
I am 5'7, 185lbs, 42 inch chest and a waist of 34. I ordered the 52 and when I got it, I could barely zip it up. I also noticed it really constricted my movement. I was watching Anthony's video and it said that it is supposed to be tight so I figured I just had to get used to it. I rode it on my bike for maybe 5 miles and that is when I noticed it really hampered my tuck position. I guess it was so tight, I just could not put my weight on my core and legs and all the pressure went to my hands.
I decided to get a 54. Oh man, what a difference. Yes, it is still tight but now I can ride in tuck with no problems.
I love the jacket now. As for protection, I hope I will never have to find out.

You get what you pay for
First up I'm 5',10'', 186 lbs and a 42'' chest. I went with the EU 50 instead of a 52 as I like my jackets to be snug. At first it was a little tight around the arms and armpit, but after 1-2 weeks its broken in well.
I love the styling of this jacket and it really sticks out from the crowd. Leather is perfect and good to notice a waterproof interior pocket as well.
Overall happy with this product and it only took 9 business days to arrive in Sydney.

Form + Function / Comfort
-Coolness factor. It's like if Fonzie put on a Guyver suit.
-Amenities. Multiple pockets in the removable liner. 1 large waterproof pocket. Leather looks and feels great. Feels extremely durable, like you could take a severe beating.
-Fit. Maybe a little on the small side. I'm sure there's a break in period, but I prefer a little extra room in my jackets. 5'11", 160 and I could barely get my arms in a size 50, Extremely tight on the biceps. Otherwise a solid fit elsewhere.
-Airflow. Feels fine in 60-70 degree weather so far. Probably wouldn't be particularly suitable to sub 40 temps for very long because of the mesh stretch panels in the arms.
My only complaints are trivial and almost not worth mentioning, but ;
The mesh insert has some velcro pads on the inside of the forearm and they end up scratching your arm quite a bit. The sport hump is awfully prominent in almost any position or stance. Just some unnecessary pressure. Wouldn't let any of that influence your decision to purchase this jacket.
Overall I love it. It fits aggressively so standing around in it isn't ideal, but when you're on an aggressive bike it's perfect. The shoulder and elbow shell armor feel incredibly durable. Torso padding is pliable and the stretch panels give you plenty of room to move, or get fatter.

Devilishly good looks with performance to spare
Amazing jacket. I got it on sale for $600 brand new and it was completely worth it. I'm a taller built guy so this fit me very well. Its slim around the areas that matter and gives enough space for breathing all throughout the jacket. Comes with a heat liner and even a single waterproof pocket! What can I say, this is the best looking street/track jacket around and I love how it's all black. Never seen collarbone sliders/protectors on any other jacket so that's a very cool trait!

pros - quality materials and finish.
Heavy, rugged feel, and good armor coverage
Cooling back vent really works.
Unique fashion statement
cons - have to buy back armor separately.
- hot days and getting the jacket off quickly if you sweat in it.

BATMAN! bit shorter and tighter than atem but in a good way.
Worn all the best, dainese super speed, alpinestars atem etc. Fit for this jacket is a little smaller in the shoulders and shorter in the arm length compared to the atem which is a great jacket but fits a lot better overall for me (im tall and not too bulky). I like the aggressive tight race fit of the jacket and the arms will stretch so my elbows fit in the right spot better. Could have gone a 50 instead of 48 but ill stretch into it and itll be perfect in a week.
Looks are crazy. I been telling everyone I'm batman for a while and now I got the gear to prove it!
Finish and styling is awesome.
Ordered a lot of gear online this week with the new bike and all were made to look like amateurs compared to the service, speed and professionalism of revzilla. Anthony you the man!
