Heat Demon Grip Warmers 4 5 1 1
Great grip heaters. Wish the install were easier. I love the fit and finish of this product. The control is extremely easy to access and use without removing hands from grips. They produce really good heat. At this point, I've not been able to crank them up over two because of how warm it's been. I'm sure I'll use them more fully when the next cold season hits. The only thing that sucks is how involved the installation is. It's a project. But that's the trade off you make for having such a clean and functional installation. April 1, 2013

Answer:
Yes, the grip with the shorter wires is the left side that goes closest to the controller, which is also meant to be mounted on the left handlebar. The grip with the long length of wire is for the right grip.

I have a 2003 HD 883R Sportster. It says in the description that can not be used with aluminum bars. How do you know what the bars are made of?

Answer:
The easiest way to determine the composition of the handlebars is to look at the bar-end and see how thick the tube wall is. Steel is less than 1/8", aluminum is between 1/8 - 1/4" thick. Typically, only off-road bikes have aluminum bars. Your particular Harley has steel.

I was thinking about getting the Symtec Heat Demon Grip Warmers for my 2007 DL650 Vstrom. Is this product compatible w/ the stock handle bars and anti-vibration bar ends?

Answer:
The Symtec Heat Demon Grip Warmers are not compatible with the Suzuki V-Strom, or any bike, that has it's mirror connected to the back side of the clutch perch. The control for the grip warmers replaces half of the perch mount and you would loose the left side mirror.
