World Sport Performance Seat Suzuki GSX650F / GSX1250FA / Bandit GSF1250

Continuing in the tradition of meticulously designed seating options, Sargent is pleased to offer the Sargent World Sport Performance Seat.

Utilizing advanced digital modeling, computer design techniques, precise manufacturing processes and superior materials, each World Sport seat pan is precision-molded for superior fit and outfitted with high-quality hardware. Also featuring Sargent’s signature vacuum-formed PVC acrylic alloy seat pan, this super tough, lightweight material provides an exceptional high-performance seat foundation.

Gel-Free! Each Sargent World Performance seat offers superior comfort and suspension without the thermal retention and extra weight of gel. The Super Cell Atomic Foam suspension is a unique and proprietary blend of resilience, firmness, and vibration-absorption qualities. Most stock seats suffer from a crowned shape that centralizes pressure and creates discomfort. The level, wider and slightly cupped foam shape of the Sargent World Sport Seat distributes pressure evenly and eliminates hot spots for incredible long-distance comfort.

All Sport Performance Seat features marine-grade, UV-stabilized, color-coordinated upholstery - hand sewn specifically to maximize the qualities of the Super Cell Atomic Foam.

Features:

  • Widened PVC seat pan for more lateral support
  • CarbonFX vinyl
  • Super Cell Atomic Foam for improved riding comfort
  • Handy, under-the-seat storage
  • Eliminates forward slope and provides a more neutral seating angle for the driver
  • Made in the USA

Great Seat, but you're going to want risers
My husband purchased this seat for his Suzuki Bandit. He loves it. But, immediately, he wanted risers. The tricky part about bandits is installing risers because the brake lines are constricted. He was able to install a smaller set which helped and he's happy with them. At this point, he's just waiting to see how the brake lines do. He couldn't have installed risers any higher than the ones he did. The seat install was quick and easy, but as with all seats, it changed how he sat and his position on the bike as he rides. If the brake lines end up pinching, he's going to have to take it in and have new brake lines installed--which is an expensive proposition.

I ended up with the 'low'
I purchased the standard for my 2009 Suzuki 1250 bandit, but I ended up with the 'low' version. I am 6'1" with long legs and very long arms. the standard seat put me a little too high, but WAY too far back. The short seat is a little lower, but more importantly (to me), the 'butt' of the saddle - the u-shaped rise in the front portion of the saddle - is about 1.5" shorter than the standard seat, and felt perfect for me. unless you are extremely tall, or very heavy (i am 220 lbs) - the 'heavy' guys perhaps having a larger posterior, which would push them more forward on the seat - you may want to try the short version first. either way: great seat.

Great Product!
After installing the seat, I went for a ride and it was all that I expected it to be. Then I took my wife for a ride and she had exclaimed that the seat was wonderful and she was not sore at all. Thanks Revzilla for a great product. The only thing that I could recommend is that you carry the back rest for the seat. That would be fantastic!

Suzuki Sargent Seat
Installed this seat on a Suzuki GSX 1250. The OEM seat provided a comfortable ride for about 1 1/2 hours before causing discomfort that lasted all day. This seat provides enough comfort to easily ride for 3 hours plus without a break. The rear seat hasn't been tested but appears to be just as comfortable as the front.

Excellent upgrade from stock seat.
This seat has made my commutes to work much better. It's about 45-50 minutes each way and where the old seat used to cause pressure points after about the 30 minute range. This one is smooth sailing the whole way. I'm looking forward to some long tides this summer to really test it out. I'm on the shorter end and have noticed it creates some pressure points on the hamstrings with a lot of stop and go riding. But it for long distances, it does its job perfectly.

NIce saddle worth the money.
I bought this saddle for my 2011 Suzuki GSX1250FA. I was getting numb butt on longer rides. The saddle fit and looked great. I would say it helped significantly with the numbness but didnt totally eliminate it. Maybe I am too old and just get a cruiser? IDK..

Good for high riders, but you need handlebar risers
Good for high riders, but I'm sitting to far from handlebar now, so I have to either move front and sit on narrow part of the saddle or I have somehow rise my handlebar up and back.

Good product, but didn't work out for me.
I use the original seat at the low setting and can easily flat-foot the ground on both feet even with a little bend of the knee left over (I'm 5' 9"). With the Sargent Low Seat, since it is a little wider, I noticed that my heals were slightly off the ground. Not a real problem - just an observation in fitting.
Next, with the bike parked in the garage, I just sat on the seat in the riding position for about 20 minutes with these following observations: The material is just a little more smoother that the factory and has a slight slope forward towards the tank; so, every few minutes I had to push myself back to the rear of the seat. Also, halfway back on the seat, the horizontal seating surface transitions to the vertical side of the seat in a rounded corner. After a while, this began causing a small pressure point on my upper hamstrings. Perhaps this would be corrected after a break-in period but decided to return it after this test sitting. However, these issues may have gone away after being used in its designed application of long distance riding. I did note that the slight concave seating surface of the Sargent would be an improvement over the factory seat which is high in the center and ends up causing a pressure area between the seat bones.

I put Sargent seats on most of my bikes and am always happy. This one had to be sent back to Sargent to have the nose raised as it slopped me into the tank but now good.

I am sure that the driver will be more comfortable. How about the passenger? Does this seat make them more comfortable too? I ride a 2009 Bandit 1250SEA ( Canadian Edition which includes Givi luggage for touring)
A shopper on Jun 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It certainly helps the passenger, puts them in a more reclined position. According to my passenger, the backrest, however, is essential. I bought the sargent backrest. You can also install a topcase with a backrest, but beware of the OEM topcase rack. Tends the cramp the rider and not compatible with the sargent backrest, which really requires the rear grab bar. I'm installing the Givi rack (and reinstalling the rear grab bar) to move the topcase up and back. Also, the passenger pegs are a bit high and tight. Thinking about lowering them. Hope this helps.
Would this seat fit my 2014 gsx 1250 FA with the 3 saddle bag, and my wife 2014 gladius 650 ?
A S on Oct 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have the GSX 650 F with hard bags and the Sargent seat fits perfectly. Comfortable for short and medium distance and by wearing cycling underwear I was able to do 300 miles in 4.5 hours with no stiffness or discomfort in my nether regions.(I normally get off every hour or so to stretch and coffee.
Do the have back rest?
A shopper on Jul 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: can you elaborate?
I notice that this seat offers a "low seat height option" ... my bike(Suzuki GSX 650F) is a bit tall for me and I really don't want to lower it. Would buying the low seat help at all?
A shopper on May 11, 2013
BEST ANSWER: This seat is about 1 inch lower than the stock seat, so it should help out a little bit.
