REV'IT! Stellar Leather Jacket
Good Brand, Quality Questionable.
I bought this jacket a few months ago, even though I am a loyal patron to Dainese, but I thought it would be nice to see what other brands are like.
I choose this jacket because of it's styling, features, and decent reviews.
I went with more of a race/track day jacket, even though I would be using it for everyday use (commute, canyons, track days). I figured the durability has to be higher than that of an average "classic or vintage" style jacket. Where the materials might be more for show, than crash.
I noticed some chaffing/flaking of the jacket at the lower part of the front zipper. I do have Tech Spec tank grips (recently installed, just over a week) on my bike, the snake skin version.
I was thrown at first, because my Dainese jacket has not been affected in the same manner by the Tech Spec grips. And I've gone down on the track with the Dainese jacket and you can see the chaffing/slight tearing (nothng major) of the leather. But the Dainese still looks rock solid.
I spoke with the great customer service at Revzilla to see if this might be a warranty issue. And after speaking with a representative, they had me send some photos just to see if it would be covered. Now I know this might be a wear/tear thing, where it is not covered by warranty, but they were still happy to investigate.
But as mentioned, the warranty peeps deemed it as wear/tear and would not be covered. Which I totally understand and I have nothing but great things to say about Revzilla's customer service for trying.
But still, this puts into question the quailty of Rev'it and it's ability to hold up in a slide. Which is something I don't want sitting at the back of my mind.
Before I started the review this product, I was cleaning the jacket and noticed chaffing/flaking on the top left shoulder...huuumm.
I bought this product, looking to test comfort, quality, protection, features, and durability. While this Rev'it jacket did shine over my Dainese in some of those categories, it lacks where it truly counts...quality, and possibly, protection.
I know Rev'it is one of the top tier brands, but lately I feel that these top tier brands (Dainese, Rev'it, Alpinestars, etc...) are charging the same top dollar while they cheapen their materials (cutting corners).
As always, "Caveat emptor".

A Multi-Purpose Jacket
First impression: The jacket is extremely finely crafted and by far the most well-made motorcycle jacket I've ever had the opportunity to wear.
I'm not going to bore you with specs but you can read that under product description but what stood out most was:
-Extremely comfortable in 3 quarter or full-tuck
Price but then again you're buying the Stellar.

I did a lot of online research before plunking down the cash for this jacket, mainly considering a well known Italian competitor. This was on sale and they seemed similar so I went with the Rev'it. I missed the sale as it ended midnite and I called Revzilla almost 2 days later- they still gave me 10% off (instead of 15) and I did not expect it. I think this is phenomenal service as I could not find it for less than MSRP at any other retailer so they could have just quoted the same. I have always bought all my gear from them and I always will after this- and they didnt ask me to write this.
Fit is spot on. I got the 48. Im 5'6 135 lbs. Fits like a glove. Not too loose but enough to have a dress shirt and tie on and yet be comfortable. My only disappointment was that the external elbow and shoulder sliders were black, though in the video they are aluminum. Minor cosmetic difference so no big deal. Ive used this in 90 degree weather and as long as IM moving the airflow is great. I have always used a textile jacket and was afraid this would be too hot but its actually quite cool as long as you are in motion. Now that fall has set in , its perfect, and much better than my old textile jacket which I used with an inner windproof shell but which then got bulky. The only thing I will miss as it gets cooler is a high collar, but I suppose I could just get a gaiter. The quality of construction including zippers is excellent, leather smells great and is quite supple and it has a dull finish unlike the slightly gloss finish on the similarly priced competitor. This is preferable to me so Im not complaining. I will probably get a pair of leather pants that match and can turn this into a 2 piece suit to be used on my annual track day or even a weekend ride. ATGATT.
Only other quibble is the lack of reflective material mentioned in the online video review, so no surprise and not a big deal as I don't think Ill be out at night in this. Recommend the jacket and highly recommend Revzilla.

purchased this item and recently received it, but disappointed because I based my order and fitment on sizing chart. jacket was totally off, and wayyyyy to small for comfort. consider ordering size up or two if you prefer that slight breathable looseness. jacket looks amazing and looks real high technology. If your also looking to street ride this is also it for you street bikers however jacket appears to fit high above the waist. jacket also appears to keep you warm, its inner liner looks assuring to keep you warm during winter. its removable so summer might also do.

I spent many weeks researching all the jackets on the market and every time I scrolled past the picture of this one it was far and above the most visually appealing to me. I bought the black and white version and it looks great! This was the best jacket I could find without going to a model with an air hump at the top of the back (which I personally do not like). Also I liked the fact that it had aluminum shoulder AND elbow sliders which almost all jackets neglect the elbow sliders. Finally the high collar was also another nice feature that I personally prefer, I wore a Joe Rocket Textile Corona Racing jacket for years and found that I really cant stand the "no collar" look or feel. Overall the jacket feels great while wearing it and is for the most part comfortable. I am about 6' 1", 190LBS, 32IN waist and have an athletic build and ordered a size 54. Definitely glad I did because the shoulders and arm length are perfect. My one and ONLY grip about this jacket is that do to my build the jacket fits the shoulders perfect but has to be tightened around my waist. Once I tighten the waist straps they fold the leather in a way that constantly rubs in one spot on either side of my waist and is slightly uncomfortable. That being said it is mostly noticeable when walking around not riding so if you are built like me just get used to tightening the waist to ride then loosening once off the bike. Plus the leather will break in and hopefully make this a non issue later down the road.
I also bought the Seesoft Back Protector to go with the jacket and highly recommend that as well in addition to the jacket.

First Leather Jacket
Love this jacket. I've been looking around for a leather jacket for a while and I have tried on many brands other than Rev'it. This jacket is the best fitting jacket among the other ones that I have tried. Everything seems to feel in place and that helps inspires more confidence on my bike. It is pricey but worth every penny.

Awesome Aggressive Jacket!
Size Purchased: 36US/46EURO
Fits very snug, especially around my elbows/forearms, but loosened up after a bit of wearing. There is still plenty of room to stretch due to the mesh panels on the arms though. I'm a pretty slim/small guy and this jacket fit like a glove for me. It still has a little bit of room around the chest, so if you're about a 36 (+/- 1") it should still fit you fairly well. The waist is adjustable, so having a 29" waist, I was able to tighten lower part of the jacket to fit me better. This is a "race" jacket so your arms are going to be forced into a semi bent form when standing still. It doesn't bother me, but if you like your arms straight then might want to look elsewhere haha. Another note is that this jacket sits higher than your standard one, it will sit just a little above your waist so if you wear long shirts or "sag" your pants, then it's going to be exposing all that.
It's decent but not that great, but what else would you expect from a leather jacket? The center is perforated so some air comes through, but I do feel the wind seep through at freeway speeds around the arms where it's mesh.
The armor that came with the jacket seems very sturdy and flexible to your movements. They don't feel cheap or light but more dense. I upgraded with the new Rev'It Seesoft backprotector and really love it! I got the RV-03 size for the 36US/46EURO but you can double check on their backprotector chart.
Overall, this is a great jacket! Especially if you're looking to make it a 2-piece suit for the occasional track or weekend canyon fun!
