Great armor
Got these to replace the memory foam in my Olympia Airglide 3 pants. Theyre a little smaller but fit nicely into the pockets. Very comfortable against the body and a huge upgrade in protection.
I crashed last fall with no hip protection, and got a huge hematoma on my hip. After more than a year and 2 surgeries It still hasnt fully healed. I wish I had this armor on when I crashed.

Quality Armor: Easily modified to fit Revit Pants
I purchased a pair of Klim D30 T5 hip armor to replace the basic foam padding in my Revit Sand pants. The sand pants are not designed to fit the T5s but it was a very simple trim to get them to fit. I ended up cutting a small notch into the T5s to interface with the kidney shaped pocket in the Sand pants and so far there has not been any movement or shifting of the Klim armor. I have luckily not needed to test the effectiveness of the Klim armor but from what I have seen I am confident that it will provide much better protection than what I originally had in my riding pants. Keep in mind that the addition of this armor will likely add some additional bulk to the hip area of the pants and may cause the fit to be different.

Work great!
These work great. Got them for the Klim Dakar pants and they fit nice and feel great. Just dont let them get too cold (around freezing) or they can break!

Thicker than the old D30 pads
The new "T5 Pro" hip pads are nearly twice as thick as the origional D30 pads. I have both. The T5 Pro are still thinner than conventional CE pads. A great improvment over the older model!

Well, lo and behold -- soon after posting this question, I found the answer in the Q/A section for Firstgear Hiprotec Comfort Armor.As posted by an unnamed Revzilla staff member:

We took measurements on three different hip pads that we offer. The results were as follows:
Firstgear Hiprotec Comfort Armor Size Large: Height: 9", Width at the top: 5.75", Width in the middle: 7.5"
D30 Hip Pads: Height: 7", Width at the top: 5.25"
SAS-TEC Replacement Hip Armor: Height: 7.75", Width at the top: 5.23"
Both the D30 armor and the SAS-TEC armor have a triangle shape to them while the Large Firstgear armor has a flare in the middle. For Reference, the large Firstgear armor is the second picture on our product page.
