Icon D30 Replacement Elbow Pads

An advanced, patented polymer, CE-rated D3O® impact protectors are the latest advancement in protective armor. D3O® impact protectors utilize intelligent molecules that lock together on impact. Because of this, the impact protector can be made thinner and lighter, making a jacket more comfortable and easier to wear. However, this decreased size does not come at the expense of impact protection.

Will fit any ICON Jacket that was originally equipped with ICON Field Armor Elbow Pads.

Sold as a pair.

Great upgrade to stock pads I put these in my leather alpinestars jacket replacing the stock pads. I had other d3O products and I love that they soft and harden when impacted. March 7, 2015
Excellent upgrades to standard protection. I decided to upgrade all of the armor in my Scorpion Helix jacket. I ordered the elbow, shoulder, and back protectors. The are so comfortable and the jacket fits better and makes me feel safer. I trust D3o armor more than the standard protection in the jacket. December 15, 2014
just in case... Fit perfectly my 2006 Harley jacket Cannot say more about the durability and air flow but pads seem to be a good design and well done. November 19, 2014
Perfect replacement Perfect replacement. Fits better than stock padding. Great price too! October 6, 2014
Excellent replacement armor at an amazing price I bought a full set of Icon D3O armor to replace the old armor in my race suit. The armor itself is actually generic D3O T5 Evo armor (CE Level 1, but very near Level 2). It is incredible value for what it costs. To get to true CE Level 2 you have to pay at least twice as much. The armor is lightweight, flexible and comfortable. It conforms to the shape of your body and doesn't dig into your flesh. I basically couldn't feel it when I don my race suit. I haven't tested it in action but I think it will hold up well for anything but the nastiest crashes. Note that the elbow armor is pretty small. Mine would move around in the armor pocket of my race suit. I have to put my hands in the air and shake my arms to move the armor to my elbow. After which, I will wear my full gauntlet race gloves to tighten down. I'm going to order a set of knee armor to replace them the next time I buy something from RevZilla. If you're in doubt, get the knee armor since it cost the same as the elbow armor. You can easily cut D3O using a sharp pair of scissors. The D3O material feels a bit slick, like new tires. If you want to bond it to something, roughen it up with medium sandpaper or a fine file, and clean with isopropyl alcohol first. Mine bonded to velcro with nylon backing easily using cyanoacrylate glue (i.e. super glue). September 11, 2014
Great pad at a great price I love these pads, and love their price even more. I own both these and the Forcefield Net replacement armor, and prefer these in my tighter fitting leather jackets as they are more comfortable. September 2, 2014
Love this armor! I originally ordered this armor to replace the utterly awful armor in a Jaunt T2 (my opinion; yours may be different). It made a huge difference. Well, long story short, I ended up parting with the Jaunt altogether and put the D3O armor in my Rev'It Airwave jacket. In all fairness the armor in the Airwave was excellent to begin with, but the combination of the jacket and the D3O armor makes it the most comfortable jacket I own. The D3O armor is unobtrusive, light, and all around comfortable. I hope to never need it, but believe it will do its job if ever called upon. July 17, 2014
Great Armor Got this armor for a BMG Montana jacket. Fit is great, very comfortable and can hardly tell it's there when off the bike. Not track-style protection by any means but does seem like it will provide some safety June 30, 2014

A shopper asked: Could you use this on top of another armor? Would that make the jacket too bulky? Dec 17, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Robert P: It probably would be too bulky. I'm not sure why you would want to do this? It sounds like wearing two condoms... It could cause your existing armor to slide out of place.

I have this armor in my Roland Sands Rocker jacket. I high sided my street triple going straight (not turning) through an intersection at about 60 mph or so (hit a bunch of bright green spilled coolant). My gear kept me out of the hospital with no injuries. This armor meets the same CE ratings as any other armor. Can confirm it works well. It is about a centimeter thick for those wondering, and fits all my Roland Sands jackets (mission, rocker, ronin)

Vic B: I think the jacket would be too bilky and uncomfortable. The elbow protection offered with these icon pads is very good and to double up woild most likely reduce the protection offered because they could be easily pushed out of position. Double padding does not equal double protection. I would leave these on their own and enjoy the freedom of movement..they are more than enough protection on yheir own Dec 19, 2013

edward l: Well I would think that all depends on the other armor… I use these and similar shoulder armor in two of my HARLEY jackets, one leather and the other a summer mesh and they seem to be a perfect fit! Dec 17, 2013

Mike K: I suppose that depends on the original armour's size and thickness. I wouldn't do it because for me it would be too bulky. Dec 17, 2013

CHARLES R asked: With these pads work well in Roland Sands jackes? Feb 19, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
edward l: I don't know about Roland Sands jackets, but I use these along with the matching shoulder pads in bot a LEATHER and a MESH Harley-Davidson jacket that have elbow and shoulder pad pockets. Both of these jackets are styled a little differently and the pads work great in both! I personally think for the money you can't go wrong! Feb 19, 2014

Paul W: Can't say for sure about Roland Sands but can say they work with an HJC and an AGV jacket that I have. If the measurements of the pads in your jacket are close to these then I'd think you're ok. Feb 19, 2014

Isaias C asked: Are these elbow pads better than the ones that come with the Icon Overlord Textile Jacket? Aug 26, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
George W: Isaias,
I don't have the Icon Overlord Jacket so I can't tell you if they are better than the OEM pads. I did put them in a Firstgear leather jacket and they are much better than the originals.

Craig E: I like these better than the original for the elbows. You won't know they are there because of the flexablility. Aug 28, 2013

A shopper asked: will these fit in an Icon Women's Merc jacket? Feb 28, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
DAVID S: Unfortunately, I do not know if they will fit a woman's size jacket. I will say only this.... I recommend these products to wear. I bought the shoulder, elbow, and back pads for my second light weight "Joe Rocket" mesh jacket. I can testify to their ability to keep its wearer in one piece. I had a van make a right turn in front of my bike from the left lane into a Mc Donald's driveway. Thank God for ABS braking on my Goldwing. I flew off the bike and crushed this kids van with my helmet and left shoulder. I left a 3' X 2' giant dent in the right side of the van..... These pads work. I didn't feel a thing !!! If you can buy them for all locations in a jacket, DO IT... I swear just knowing I wear them 100% of the time is worth every penny.

A shopper asked: I have the Dianese Alien jacket and am looking for more flex and comfort in the arms, will these fit in the armor pockets (or can they be trimmed to fit)? Mar 25, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The Dainese elbow/forearm armor is longer than the Icon d3o elbow armor, so the Icon d3o armor will fit the pocket on the Alien jacket, but it will move around slightly. Mar 27, 2013
