Spidi's effort in the safety field brought the company to certify a chest protector, in fact SPIDI's Warrior Chest is regulated as level 1 prEn 1621-3 (provisional norm for Chest protector for motorbike usage)
The Warrior technology is composed by 3 layers shaped as a square blocks structure designed to spread out the shock
21,8 Kn shock absorbing value (clears prEn 1621-3 test)
644 sq/cm area covered by the protector
Biomechanic junctions are able to adapt to the chest's morphology - this also enables easy folding for storage of protector
Max thickness is 15mm (guarantees aerodynamics and comfort)
Great air circulation thanks to wide air vents
Warrior chest comes built in or optional on most SPIDI jackets and top range leather suits
With so few manufacturers putting provisions in their jackets for chest protectors, this is a nice add-on for your Spidi Jacket.
I have one for my Track Jacket and I always, always wear it. It snaps on, it's not restrictive and having extra protection in key areas is never a bad thing.

One of the many reasons I bought the Spidi Voyager 3 jacket is the ability to add a chest protector. Snaps in easy and disappears when you zip the jacket up. You barely know it's there. I would recommend this product if you own a Spidi jacket.

I bought this in addition to my SPIDI HI VIS H20 Out. I also purchased the back protector. This chest protector does as advertised but I wish it had a zipper in the middle instead of snaps on the sides. It is a little more work to dig the snaps from the outer liner and fish them through the insulated liner to get to the chest protector. I always just unsnap the right side and leave the protector hanging by the left.
I commend Spidi for offering some front protection. The older I get, the better and more gear I wear. I feel this is a perfect mix between ease of use vs protection. It is not a full up racing protector but I am a 10 mile commuter and weekend explorer.

A S asked:How does the Spidi Warrior Chest protector fit into the Spidi Track Wind Pro Race Suit? I see there's a half pocket in the front, does it only slide into the half pocket? Do I need straps to hold it in place?
