Love the new lid Bought this helmet in the winter (for the awesome $159 price) to replace a very old Shark RSF Optima (which server me well, other than it's faily big and not too light). Have been wearing the Icon Airframe this month and so far it's very good. Light, comfortable and looks great with dark shield. I hope it holds up for years to come. April 26, 2013
Terrific Helmet This past summer I returned to riding after a long break. I wasn't sure what bike I didn't have the money for a new one. Sellers of used bikes are understandably concerned about test rides. It was hard for them to believe I was a serious buyer when I had to say, "Oh, and I'll need to borrow your helmet." Thus I bought a cheap ($79) helmet to use as I looked, and then kept it for the first 4-5 months after I purchased the bike. I hated, and I mean *hated* that helmet. It was my size (L) but didn't fit properly, and everything about it felt cheap. I kept it for so long because I wanted an Arai, but didn't have the money. Finally, I decided to buy the Icon Airframe as a mid-priced helmet to get me through until I had $600. I'm so happy with the Airframe I probably won't get an Arai for a long time, if ever. I was very impressed with the helmet from the moment I saw it. The finish is flawless. But most important, it is the most comfortable helmet I've ever owned. I have tried Arai helmets on in stores and the Icon is their equal, at least for my head, which right at 60 cm, the upper end of Large. XLs are all comfortable, but I knew they were too large. I've read that riders overwhelmingly wear helmets that are too large, so knew I needed Large. Compared to other helmets I've tried on, I'd call the fit of the Large Icon Airframe a L+, which fits me perfectly. Of course it felt slightly tight when I first tried it on, but it quickly began to feel like it was designed for my head, I wear glasses, and for additional comfort and safety, wear prescription basketball glasses when riding. They have thicker frames than regular glasses and it takes about 20 seconds, and is slightly uncomfortable, to work them between my ears and head, but once on, there is no discomfort whatsoever. Bottom lime, the Airframe accommodates glasses beautifully. (As a footnote, I recommend sport glasses like these to any rider who wears glasses. The lenses are unbreakable and scratch resistant plastic, and the inside has a rubber cushion that contributes a lot to their comfort, and adds additional safety.) The helmet looks sharp; the shape is modern and sleek. I haven't had it long enough to comment on durabily but based on the quality of workmanship I'd predict a long lifespan. Protection? It feels solid and safe, but I don't think we can ever know with certainty the protection level of *any* helmet in an accident. Even if we go down and have head impact, there is no way to know how our heads would have fared in that exact accident if wearling another helmet. It's like a scientific experiment with no control group, which, of course, is not a scientific experiment. All evidence I have is that this is a great helmet and I'm delighted with my purchase. Picures do no justice! This helmet looks A LOT better in person than from what the picture conveys. The shield is nice and works great with the fight against fogging. I do think however it was just a small bit on the larger size. Other than that, I'm loving it! March 11, 2013
Great buy and I would buy another one in a heartbeat. This is my first Icon helmet and I upgraded to this from a previous. This is a great buy first of all, it fit true to size and it has great airflow. I closed the vents to make sure air didn't come in when it was unwanted and I was pleased to know that not much air came in. Some air around the chin but that is to be expected. This is much lighter than my previous even though it is a larger helmet. Great graphics and styling on this helmet as well. I tried my hardest to fog up the visor and could not and the vision is wide so I could so things to my right and left. Get this helmet and you will not be disappointed. February 18, 2013

Great helmet This helmet is a comfortable yet stylish helmet. I feel well protected when I put this bad boy on. The air flow vents at the top and at the mouth really do supply a good amount of air. The cushion in the helmet feels comfortable and fits my head perfectly. It does look a little "bulky" at times. That is the only thing close to a negative that I would have to say about this product. All in all, it is a great helmet for a great price. October 29, 2012
this airframe helmet has great features and protection My airframe lifeform flows tons of air without going high speed. Have a great working lock on shield avoiding it to go up on high speed head checks. Awesome look/style, details, and protection. Worth every penny paid for. Yur head is priceless and this helmet will ensure that. October 26, 2011

Hello,
I have an Icon Airframe helmet and would like to replace all the padding inside. My wife wears it and apparently she thinks it still smells after numerous washes. Is it possible to get new insides? Please let me know,
