Gerbing's Temp Controller (Single / Portable)
Dial in your comfort level with a simple turn of the dial! Unlike older rheostat type thermostats, Gerbing's digital temp controllers draw just enough current to maintain the heat you need. Our Temp Controllers allow you to adjust for your desired heat output of our 12v products. Gerbing's Temp Controllers are not designed to be used with our 7v products.
If you intend to use this to control both a jacket and gloves simultaneously, you'll also have to purchase a Splitter. It is highly recommended by RevZilla that you purchase a Dual Controller if you are thinking of wearing multiple heated items as you will save money in the long run.

good form and function. seems to be made well. my only issue is you buy it seperately. i would have liked at least an option to buy this with my gloves in some sort of package deal. but other than that it works well, just as advertised.

This is my second temp controller. I bought the first one on eBay and rode with it for 2 years before it went belly up. Thinking back, i could kind of tell it was on its last legs as it wasn't evenly distributing current between the left and right gloves. It survived a minor crash where I landed right on it and it kept on working for another year. The new one has a subtle clicking mechanism in the knob to give a little bit of tactile feedback as to how much adjustment you're making which I can feel through my Gerbing G3 gloves. Great product! I ride year round in the northern Virginia area thanks to this controller and the Gerbing G3 gloves.

The big advantage of this controller over all the other ones I have seen on the internet or my friends are using is that it has a continuous range of operation rather that 3 or 5 possible selections. This makes it very easy to fine tune the temperature of the item you are controlling. Been using it for the past 3 weeks and it works perfectly. I highly recommend it!

This product works great, but I gave it a good in bang for buck because, in my opinion, it should be included with the heated gloves I bought (it's necessary unless you want your gloves on full heat or off all the time). I also gave it a good in comfort because although I bought the optional holder with belt loop, I still have no convenient place to put it (clipping it on my belt makes it inaccessible while riding). I will ultimately have a loop stitched onto my jacket to clip the holder on. I cannot offer comment on durability yet as I have only had this for a few weeks and used the product on 4 rides so far.

When you buy a Gerbing product, you gotta have a controller or you'll be baking at full heat all the time. Gerbing knows that and they've got you by the cojones here because this little piece of kit costs a whopper and then some.
I am sure if you break it down you will be able to make your own for less than $10.00 but if you can't be bothered then this controller is for you. It does it's job by letting you know when the heat is on and you can control how much heat is produced by varying the current flowing into the heating element.
Thats about it as far as it's functionality is concerned. The dial doesn't have a "stepped" feel so you are constantly fiddling with it to get it "just right". You cannot live without this one so I guess I'd have to recommend this product. All I know is that when this one breaks, I'm making one on my own.
