Gerbing 12V Temp Controller (Single / Portable)

Dial in your comfort level with a simple turn of the dial! Unlike older rheostat type thermostats, Gerbing's coreheat12 digital temp controllers draw just enough current to maintain the heat you need. Our Temp Controllers allow you to adjust for your desired heat output of our 12v products. Gerbing's Temp Controllers are not designed to be used with our 7v products.

If you intend to use this to control both a jacket and gloves simultaneously, you'll also have to purchase a Splitter.  It is highly recommended by RevZilla that you purchase a Dual Controller if you are thinking of wearing multiple heated items as you will save money in the long run.

  • Dial in your level of comfort.
  • Digital controller insures that your heated clothing uses only as much power as requested.
  • Wires are UL listed and completely safe, in all weather conditions.
  • 1 Year Warranty.
  • Attach this controller to any solid object with Velcro®, or attach to your belt with our convenient, optional clip-on case.

Does what it's supposed to. I bought this to run just the T5 gloves and it worked great. Then my feet were getting cold, so I bought the heated soles as well and got they Y splitter. This single dial controlled powers both just fine. There was one time the that LED on the controlled was alternating red and green. I don't know exactly was was going on with it, but it unplugged it and plugged it back in and it's been working great ever since. February 16, 2015
Good for me It works like it needed to. Had to turn it down the more i rode. November 10, 2014
Liked it Only used it on one trip so far. So far so good! Only wish cables were just a little bit longer, especially one that goes to battery extension cord. October 9, 2014
Excellent thermostat control My heated gloves came with the standard on off control and sometimes got too hot. The temp controller is perfect. Lets me adjust to just the right temp to compensate for the chilly mornings, or the freezing mornings. August 15, 2014
great little unit... but could be improved. bought this to run my Gerbing T5 Hybrid gloves (great gloves BTW see my review of them) does everything it is supposed to. keeps the glove temp pretty consistent and have not had any issues with function. there is a few points I think they could address. there is no attachment for this to mount to the bike or your clothing. if they supplies a small clip that you could clip on the the bottom hem of you jacket it would be excellent. now I just put it in my pocket, but every once in a while I bump the knob and change the temp. next winter I probably will use some velcro or something to secure it in a better place. but that is my only grip with it. Works great! This Gerbing's Portable Single Temp Controller digital temp controllers draw just enough current to maintain the heat you need.Temp Controllers allow you to adjust for your desired heat. Works GREAT! April 14, 2014
A must have for heated gear Bought this to control a pair of the Ultra Lite Gloves. Rotary knob has several detents for the various temp settings. If you are using heated gear, you really need this to control the gloves as they really get very warm at the maximum setting. The size was appropriate and easy to use wearing the gloves. A digital readout feature would be nice for a bit finer control, but overall worked as expected. March 29, 2014
Product seems to work OK, but why is it designed without a built-in clip to attach to clothing? This IS intended for use by motorcyclists, right? Apparently I'm supposed to buy yet another accessory to hang this on my outer clothing, when there should be a clip or some Velcro arrangement built into this already-expensive-enough controller. Reminds me a little of the way Detroit use to sell cars that needed to be substantially upgraded with better tires, shocks, brake linings, headlights, radios, etc. before they were good enough to really use. Is that Gerbing's approach? One wonders. March 28, 2014

PERCIVAL C: I have my unit velcro'd on jacket's side strap by my left hip for temp adjustment on the fly. I've also used mine during wet winter months and it has been exposed to rain a few times and it is still functioning without any problem. I wouldn't recommend it being mounted on the bike and leaving it there exposed to the elements though... just my two cents... Nov 7, 2013

Matt B: I put mine on bike Jan this year, took it off over the summer and remounted it a few weeks ago. I bought some velcro and attached it to tank. I should say I live in Ca so not much rain but I have ridden in the rain and early am fog and had no issue. Couldn't say what would happen ridding in rain every day though? Nov 7, 2013

Michael L: To my knowledge the temp controller is water resistant (I haven't had a problem with some limited riding in the rain). If you are planning to mount it permanently on the bike, I would look for a location that is somewhat protected from wind driven rain. Nov 7, 2013

Jeffrey W: have not used in rain only cold weather. no mounting spot on controller unless you stick velcro on back. I put my controller in side pocket of my tank bag. and was able to adjust while riding. Nov 12, 2013
