Odd configuration.
I had to get this because I managed to cut the original wire that came with my gloves. Yeah lets not go into that. Anyway I got the replacement and one side is longer than other to works great but is clearly designed for the insole and not the gloves. I have 2.5 feet of extra wire hanging out of my sleeves and had to make coil to control that. Hey it works and does it well.

I do not have the pants yet, so this will allow me a means of plugging in the heated socks to my dual temperature controller.

This seems to be the only way I can get connectors to repair my gerbing gear

To wire a jacket that did not have heat capabilities.

Looks like it will be long enough to run from controller to gloves.

I have a heated seat cusion that I want to attach to the bike. it has the female end. so does the receptical that connects to the battery. This way I can attach both the cushion and the heated gear for me.

The y-harness I bought to fit into my jacket has one wire about 6 inches longer than the other. Why?

BEST ANSWER: Hi there;

Yep, I had the same question. I'll try to explain.

My battery connection comes out on the left hand side of my motorcycle. So, my Y-harness plugs in on the left, too. The shorter glove wire runs up my left (near side) sleeve, and the longer glove wire runs up my right (far side) sleeve. I'm 5'-9, 230#, and the wires run up my jacket from behind me.

If you connect your harness on the right, then your wires should run opposite of mine.

Sit on your motorcycle and try running the long wire up each sleeve to see which way is more comfortable, while you're plugged in to your battery wire. One way should feel better than the other, and both plugs should easily reach your jacket cuff zipper for connecting your glove plugs.

I hope I've helped you. Take care and safe riding.
