Fits AFX FX39
I bought this to put on my AFX FX39 helmet and it fits perfect! Looks so much better than the stock clear shield.

Gold version is a bit sub-par - oily puddle effect
First, the gold mirrored shield is only going to appear gold under certain light, Where it's directly reflecting appears gold, while everywhere else takes on a blue color. It's impossible to get the shield perfectly cleaned and buffed so the mirroring appears consistent. It reminds me more of an oily puddle than a true mirrored finish. Looking through the lens, I'm not sure if the plastic is a bit uneven or if it's due to the stretched coating, but I think the unevenness is responsible for a small bit of distortion. For the price isn't not a bad deal and it's certainly better than the previous generation of DS helmets.

The AFX FX-39 shields are 100% interchangeable with the Fly Trekker and a much better quality, They are a bit more expensive, but my silver mirrored shield has a perfectly even coating, easy cleaning, and less distortion than this gold Fly one I bought. The silver AFX shield doesn't have any blue-ness to it either.

The shields themselves aren't hard to change, however the little plastic pivot kit is very hard to swap between shields. I would strongly recommend buying a pivot kit for any new shield, then all you need to swap in the future is a quarter (fits/works better than any screwdriver on the metal and plastic screws).

Buyer beware
This review is on the mirrored version. This item was not what I would call an oem replacement! This version shaped differently than oem clear and did not fit quiet as snuggly. Looked ok but thats about it. I also purchased the dark smoke version, this one was an oem replacement.

Looks amazing
This face shield looks awesome and fits perfectly. The mirrored finish is very nice but I do fear it will scratch easily. Overall for the price it is an amazing deal.

Nice shield
Got the gold tinted shield. Looks great with the Hi-Viz Trekker helmet (think Master Chief). Not terrible to swap out, but does take a few minutes.

Quick shipping and RevZilla had the gold where other retailers didn't. Very satisfied.

All Kinds of Awesome
Ironically, because I bought my helmet 6 months before my current bike, the Gloss Black Fly Trekker matches my new bike perfectly. The angular shell, aggressive jaw, and dual-sport peak, match my new gloss black Ducati Multistrada.
However, the helmet is not brilliant in the bright sunlight, so here's where the Iridium Visor comes in. Besides making me look all kinds of awesome on the bike, the tint is really strong and makes visibility great on long Australian summer rides. I don't know how I rode without it. Sun glasses are uncomfortable in the helmet, grease up, and restrict vision.

The visor protects your face from sunburn as well as your eyes, frees you from discomfort and gives an amazing amount of distortion free vision. Did I mention is looks wicked?

The visor is a cinch to install, but it is a semi-permanent install, not a snap like on the more expensive helmets. Still it seals well.
The best thing is this visor comes in at just $23!!!! I could almost buy 4 for the same price as the Shoei.

One caveat is that with the visor up you may notice some occlusion at the top right and left of your field of view. This is because of the angular shape of the helmet.

The only pity is that Gold and Dark Smoke are out of stock.

Overall, if you have a Fly Trekker and ride in the sun - get this shield

I just purchased one the trecker helmets. And was wondering if this shield would fit it? The DS is throwing me off. Is that a particular style?
A shopper on Aug 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yea all the Intel and clear shields in the trecker style do fit I have of these helmets 1 clear shield 1 blue shield
I was wondering what color to get. What color is best for cloudy and sunny days? I do not ride at night.
A shopper on May 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have both the black and the gold version (next to the regular one)
I drive everyday, summer, winter, day & night. Across Europe.

In winter I use the regular one, for obvious reasons (lack of daylight)

The rest of the year I either use the black or gold face shield and carry safety goggles along in case i need to drive at night.

The black and gold shields make no difference, from the inside out. Both are perfect for cloudy and sunny days.

I do prefer the golden shield, it looks better, imho, and it does seem to be slightly better against direct sunlight.

It also seems to fog a lot less. I always have to leave the regular one open a bit, until driving with speeds above 30 mph, not so with the colored ones. They seem to have a better anti-fogging layer.
Will this fit on the Fly Trekker DS Helmet?
A shopper on Aug 24, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, its a very nice sheild scratchs a little easy but I love it
It Dosent fog very often and if it dose it dissipates very quickly
Will this product fit other helmets?
A shopper on Aug 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It will also fit the MSR Xpedition and the Cyber UX-32, which are essentially the same helmet under different names. I've also heard that it might fit a GMAX GM11D, but I have not tested it.
How do you change out the lenses on the helmut?
A shopper on Jan 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Changing out the face shield is very easy. On the temple of each side of the flight tracker there are plastic screws that require a penny or a dime to unscrew. As you unscrew those plastic screws, it releases the face shield from the helmet before you can unscrew these plastic screws, you do need tosnap off the coverings which a small screwdriver or a little bit of fingernail can easily accomplish. You do however need an additional mounting piece for your new face shield they are purchasable at Repsol and many other online stores. It is the ratcheting crank system that allows the visor or fascial to connect. This plastic ratchet snaps into the face shield and allows the flight tracker face shields of different color to be taken off and put back on as you wish.
Not only would I like one, but have read a lot of purchasers wanted the ratchet mount kit for the visor.
Where do I get them?
A shopper on Aug 20, 2013
BEST ANSWER: You can get the screen through Revzilla. On the ratcheting kit, I assume you are looking for a repair part for the helmet. This may be worth a phone call to Revzilla as I have never found helmet repair parts on any website. Most of the time I have gone to a local shop that carries a particular brand, but I am guessing a phone call may present a solution.
Well this one fit the 2014 fly trekker? ??
darryl g on Oct 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm sure it will.
Are the tinted visors polarized??
A shopper on Jul 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: don't believe so
So I have the high viz yellow helmet and want a mirror lenses. Idk what color to choose I'm stuck between gold silver and blue. I have a blue jacket so I think blue but idk?
A shopper on Jun 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have the Fly flat black helmet with the blue mirror shield and I love it! Very stealthy looking!
How do I change out the lenses on the helmut?
Mark P on Jan 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: 2 Phillips stews one on each side remove both. then there are 2 plastic rings that guide the shield pop both off carefully. The first time you can get the shield they are very stiff remove the old shield and apply new one put the plastic rings back on both sides then the screws and your ready
