Christopher O: Needed a leather jacket and I had tried on this exact model over at DucatiTriumphNYC. I'd rather buy from you Zilla guys due to the ZillaCash and I actually had a gift certificate to use here.Aug 20, 2013
A shopper asked:Whats the diffrance between "Dainese Racing Perforated Leather Jacket" & " Dainese Racing Leather Jacket"? Can u pls help me out on this thanks you SachithMay 13, 2013
Nermin K:Hi, I bought this jacket this is a great jacket for spring/summer months but i would not recommend it for winter. Its Perforated so you will get a lot of cold air that is why its great for summer.
Having said that - i ended up going down and lucky i had this jacket on me. I walked away without any scratches on my body granted i had glows etc. This jacket did a great job and it was worth the money. I ended up with 12 stitches on my face but that was caused by my helmet because it was slightly bigger then my ideal size and my bike was unfortunately totaled. Anyways i thought i would throw this out there for anyone thinking about getting this its great jacket and defiantly saved my butt. Good luck and ride safe.
Alexander U:Okay so it's roughly 35 - 45 degrees where I am now and I'm able to fit a long sleeve, short sleeve and light hoodie underneath this and I stay pretty warm. You'll want to have some gloves that can go over the sleeve opening to prevent air from traveling up the sleeve. Depending on how many months it's super cold you can get away with this jacket because for me 9-10 months outa the year it's fantastic especially in the summer and come on the jacket just looks and feels insanely good. I absolutely recommend this jacket just maybe not as a winter jacket due to the perforation. Dec 6, 2013
Kurt H:This is a heavily perforated, unlined, jacket and it flows a lot of air. It's great when the weather gets warm, but I'd pick a different jacket when riding below 65-70f or when there's a chance of precipitation.
A shopper asked:looking to upgrade to a leather from textile. I ride and will continue to ride sport touring/adventure bikes with an upright seating position. Is the Dainese racing peforated jacket good for the upright position for commuting and long trip rides, or is it more meant for a tucked position on the track?Sep 1, 2013
Brent B:It is comfortable in any position when it comes to the shoulders, back and torso, but the elbow and forearm armor definitely wants to have a decent bend in your arms to feel natural. It doesn't dig into you if your arms are near straight or anything, but it will give you kind of an elastic sensation that you need to be exerting a little force to keep your arms straight.Sep 26, 2013
efrat m:In my opinion, it can be worn either way comfortably, just make sure the fit is correct. Meaning make sure it fits like a race jacket. I ride a zx6r, but have seen people wear it on bikes with an upright seating position. They say it is perfect. Hope this helpsSep 25, 2013
Matthew V:It's really a versatile jacket. I've worn mine for two long trips 6 and 12 hours of constant riding and didn't feel the wear on my arms. Before stretching out it can feel a bit like a race jacket though. Sep 25, 2013
Jeff S:This jacket is rad, it fits incredibly well, is insanely comfortable and flows air beautifully. I would think you would dig this jacket no matter what bike or body position you're riding.Sep 25, 2013
enzo scognamiglio S asked:I am needing a good leather jacket. Something that I can pair up with leather pants for the occasional track day and the weekends. I live in arizona and want somthing that flows will have above average protection and will last. I am having a hard time picking between this jacket (Dianes Racing Perforated) vs Alpinestars GP-R vs Alpinestars Jaws.
Anyone have any imput or suggestions. 98% Street use, keep in mind its arizona. What is the best bang for the buck? any other jackets you suggest? Thanks for your help!Nov 11, 2013
Matthew R:I was debating between the Jaws and the Dainese as well. Ultimately I went with the Dainese for the quality, and the venting is excellent. With the Jaws the vents are only on your chest, with the Dainese they are on chest and arms and they flow incredibly well. Plus the fitment is excellent. I ride in San Diego, I've used this jacket throughout summer and I'm still wearing it now with some layers for the winter.Nov 12, 2013
Tim V:The Racing Perf flows a ton of air. It flows enough air to keep cool in the heat and humidity of Texas. Even with a back protector airflow is good. Depending on your track day organization the Air Frazer is almost as technical with less cost and even more air flow.Nov 11, 2013
