We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chest: Measure from under/top of armpit across chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
  • Gloves: Using a flexible measuring tape, measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.

Dainese Laguna EVO Leather Jacket 4.8 5 30 30
Collar and pockets Many brands are really puffy around the core; not being a chub, I feel they're too loose. Dainese jackets fit a trim man much better. Except for around the throat. It's a bit chokey. I'm not sure why they didn't include inside pockets on both sides.. also Velcro would have been better since the small zipper is pretty tough to get at with gloves on. The jacket does look sweet though. And isn't looking cool what it's all about? :) November 2, 2015
Great Jacket This is my first leather jacket and I'm super pleased with it. I got the black/white color and it looks sleek. You'll definitely get compliments. I'm 6', 165lbs and the 46 fits me on the snug side but still manageable. Hopefully with enough wear, it loosens up. In terms of features, the addition of a thermal liner is appreciated. I haven't tested it to sub 50 temps but it seems warm enough for fall/winter riding. It fits my viper back protector well. Luckily, I can't comment on the crash protection of the jacket. It also smells wonderful. September 22, 2015
My first leather jacket. Having bought the Laguna textile jacket last fall, I decided I needed a leather jacket to add to my collection. I'm not into the classic/vintage look, especially for my sportier looking naked bike (as opposed to the retro naked) so I went with the Dianese Laguna EVO leather. Plus its on close-out, so not sure if this review will help anybody because I'm under the impression that it will no longer be produced. First things first. It is a tad bit tighter than my Laguna textile. This is after break in. When it was new, it was STIFF, and it sort of forced me into a forward lean position. But about 5 or so 1 hour rides, it is softer and no longer forcing my body into any position, but it is noticeably tighter than my textile. Especially the arm cuffs. With the liner in, the arm cuffs are extremely tight when buttoned and fully zipped. As mentioned above, it comes with the usual removable colder weather liner. With the liner out, maybe it was a windy day but in my mind it felt cooler than my textile- and this was before I realized there were venting zippers. But with the liner in, it is undeniably hotter than my textile which is good since I will be doing a lot of fall season riding. If you are prone to wearing layers underneath in colder weather, you may want to order one size larger. With my Laguna textile jacket in winter, I wore a thermal shirt, t shirt, sweater, and then my lined textile jacket. I know for sure this will not be possible with this leather jacket in the same size. Finish is ok, I noticed some of the stitching looks questionable on certain parts, especially for a jacket that originally costs 500 dollars. I'll have to wait and see how they hold up after a year of riding. Overall for the close-out price you can't go wrong and if they still have your size in stock, go for it! Treat yourself and save some money while you are at it. September 12, 2015
Rugged but comfortable I was looking for a jacket to see me through winter, and the Dainese Laguna Evo has delivered. It's a warm (and slightly heavy) jacket with a removable liner. The sturdiness and built in protection make for a jacket that is rugged but still comfortable, and looks great. The fit is "European", so it's slightly on the snug side. I'm 5'10" (178cm) and 188lbs (85kg), and the 50 is just right for me, but if you're after a looser fit, you might like to go for a bigger size than usual. The leather is super soft, but thick and tough. I think it'll look cool as it wears and should last a long time. August 31, 2015
Sexy Leather This jacket is going for a great discounted price on revzilla right now! That is what ultimately led me to make the buy. As far as quality, fitment, and protection are concerned this jacket is top notch. Its stylish and comfortable too. Since I've purchased this jacket women have begun to notice me. They seem to be drawn to the rich, smooth smell of the Tutu leather that lingers on my skin long after the jacket is gone. When I have women over my house for tea and cuddles, they are often drawn to my bedroom where my beautiful jacket hangs so regally in the closet, always emitting its luscious leather scent. These women often ask if I am some kind of pro-motorcycle rider, to which I reply, "I am the very best Cecilia, I've won the Tour de France 4 times". But aside from my unnecessary anecdotal story, lets talk sizing: I am 5'10'' and 165lbs. I am an athletic build from sports and weightlifting with a 42in chest. I ordered a 52 size jacket and it fits perfectly- slightly snug even. A 50 would have been far too small. I probably could have gotten away with a 54 but i'm thinking that the leather may loosen as the jacket wears in. August 24, 2015
Quality product This is a quality product from Dainese. I purchased the non-perforated version since I do a lot of night riding almost all year round, and so far it has been great. The thermal liner is excellent. Extremely happy with the purchase and I would recommend this awesome jacket to everyone. FYI I got the black/white/red version and it looks sick. August 10, 2015
Best jacket I've ever owned I purchased this late last year to replace my old Joe Rocket textile jacket, and this is an absolute beast of a jacket. It's comfortable on the bike, doesn't look ridiculous off the bike, and has all the protection I desire to feel safe on the road. It broke in quickly, the removable liner is really a handy feature as well. I used this up into the mid-30 degree Farenheit temperatures in December; it's suprisingly warm and even with the snug fit with the thermal liner in, I could layer enough to keep warm easily. Fitment was true to size, I am 5'9", 140 lbs and the size 46 fits really well. The hard armor parts are stealthed over with leather but still feel substantial and I am confident that the jacket will protect all my important bits should I have a gnarly get-off. April 29, 2015
Awesome Leather This jacket by Dianese is the best jacket I've ever owned. It (54) fits me like a glove (Dianese gloves are wicked too) and feels just so right. It does feel odd at the neck though, I'm guessing someone with my measurements is supposed to have a thicker or fatter neck. Even double buckled the neck is a little loose but everywhere else fits perfect. It's already cold here in Christchurch, NZ in March and the jacket still fits snugly but not too tight with a hoodie on as well underneath. Haven't used the thermal liner yet but will do soon. It does flow quite a bit of air even with the vents closed and it not being perfed, so it's going to be awesome in summer. It's so awesome, I getting even more attention; from both riders, cages and the police. Is that a good thing? Probably. The style looks sick as (Black with White highlights), matches my Dianese Four stroke gloves perfectly and looks the buisness with my Silver mirrored Shoei Isomorph TC4 helmet and jeans. Oh and my TCX X Rap in Anthracite. I wear it without the shoulder pads in as I don't want my already big shoulders to be bigger. And I'm prepared for the reduction in protection. I wear mine with a G2 Wave back protector when I go for longer rides. In all, this jacket is dare I say, Legendary. Cheers Revzilla. You're the boss. March 19, 2015

Eric N: Dianese... enough said! Ok, I wanted a high end jacket with armor and I didn't want something that was skin tight, but I also didn't want something loose and unable to offer any protection if I ever needed it. The Laguna Evo is that perfect balance I was looking for, with the added benefit of Dianase's build quality and top-notch materials. I think it's one of the best leather jackets you can get for the street. Apr 27, 2014

A shopper asked: I am concerned with how secure the shoulder protection is? Anthony removed it very easily. Should one go down, it is critcal that the protection remains in place. Thoughts / comments? Nov 18, 2014

Anthony J: The shoulder armor is actually very well placed and secured when put into the shoulders. They can be taken out without too much fuss, definitely. Once they are in and you are wearing the correct size jacket they are staying in place and will do their job of protecting you. Super great jacket and Iv got the black/red non-perf. Nov 18, 2014

A shopper asked: Quick sizing question. I wear a 56 with the super speed by Dainese and Anthony said this is a half size smaller, however, the 56 is snug on that and I don't want to get a 54 and have to send it back. Anyone maybe have this jacket and is around my size? 6'1 about 210. Thanks Feb 22, 2014

"" ": I recently purchased a Laguna evo jacket in size 54. I am 6'2 and around 190 lbs. I am extremely happy with the jacket. As far as fit goes, the 54 fit me the best overall. . The chest and belly fits like it was tailored. The sleeves are a tad short but I have long arms. The 56 fit nice in the chest and arm lengh but had too much extra in the belly. I went for the trim look of the 54. Hope this helps. Feb 26, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Pete N: I'm 5'9" 145, and the size 50 can be a bit snug with the winter lining in. It can technically take you into the 30s, but I was typically wearing a sweatshirt underneath the jacket. Apr 29, 2015

Stephen D: I'm 6'7" 175lbs and it fits snug but to size. 30s yea, but you'll want the liner in and a thermal shirt on under it, but you need that for any jacket. Apr 29, 2015

Quang T asked: Hey guys, I'm interested in picking up the Laguna Evo soon, however I am torn between buying the perforated & nonperfed version. I'd like the perforated because I live in Texas, and really the only months that are cold would be December to February, and gets around 40 degrees at worst during those months. With the perf, I'd maximize the usage for more seasons throughout the year.

That being said, I've been riding in my Icon Overlord textile and have been getting away with just the zip-in thermal liner that came with it, and maybe a long sleeve shirt underneath, but I feel like I could use something more cozy. Does the nonperf version really insulate that much more, and do you think someone can live with a nonperf leather jacket during the summer time in Texas? I've only owned textile jackets and have no experience with leather.

Thanks, any wisdom in leather jackets is appreciated.

sherif E: My friend i went to the non perforated as in summer I'd remove the internal liner and go free in hot wether I don't like perforated as it is much harder to clean to be honest I didn't try my Laguna evo in the summer yet but I love it in winter it's a great one but take care coz it fits a bit larger that means don't over size ur self the jacket is not much slim. Enjoy it's a great piece u can also pick ur self a manis g2 back protector. My advice go for the non perforated

Andrew G: As an owner of a white non-perf Laguna Evo jacket and resident of Las Vegas, NV, I can say that one can get away with using the non-perf version without the liner in the summer. The vents do a decent job of letting air in once you get moving. Just make sure you stay hydrated out there. Jun 6, 2014

Shawn P asked: How far arround does the the zipper go that attaches the jacket to riding pants? Nov 14, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jonathan L: Shawn, the zipper goes a little further than the side pockets shown on the jacket. It's hard to compare but if you would wear pants like dickies or jeans, it would go to where the first strap where you put your belt in. Don't know if that makes any since. Hope this helps. Good luck! Nov 14, 2014

Adam L. F: Take a USA dollar bill and its 4 1/3 lengths of the bill. Good length zipper. Another zipper above that for something is like 1 ft long. Not sure which zipper does what. Great jacket I split lanes at 90mph one handed with it on in California haha. Nov 14, 2014

Gabriel R asked: Dainese Manis G2 or Forcefield Pro Insert for Dainese supposed to be narrow side up or vice versa? I tried both, both ways, and it seems too large for this jacket, in a 50 (US 40). I am guessing a G1 would be better yet I am not clear on how a G1 would fit in the pocket. Seems like it would move around a lot. Anyone put a G1 in a 50 in this jacket? Jul 19, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Tommaso G: Hi Gabriel,

Regarding the fit on the Manis G2, rest assured you got the right one. It is supposed to fit with the smaller side down, yes, it is a little tough to get it in but that actually gives it a nice snug feel. Hope that helps!

Keep 2 wheels down!
