Excellent value except...
This jacket is everything I expected with a couple of surprises tagging along. The first one is that the zipper pull is on the left side. I'm used to having it like all American clothes I purchase on the right. No big deal - I'll adapt! The second one is that the cuffs are not as snug as I expected when using my gauntlet Racer Brand gloves. Other than these two things, this jacket is awesome and I feel real confident about the protection I'm wearing when I ride.

Great in every situation!
I bought this jacket after months of careful research, and even with its high cost, I feel like I made the right choice.
The quality of the jacket is superb, and the designing of everything from the zippers, to the fabric choices feels like it had a lot of thought behind it. Nothing feels flimsy or cheap. All of the armor feels very sturdy, and protects a lot, while not feeling obtrusive. The pocket in the back for the shield air protector is a great addition, with the back protector in the jacket, its still comfortable, and still flows air very well.
The 3D liner is amazing, even this non perforated version, I have ridden in 90 degree temperatures, in traffic jams, and not broken a sweat. The liner is truly a great innovation, and it brings this jacket to another level, because it actually works!
My only gripe with the jacket is the shoulder armor. When wearing a backpack, it can dig into the front of your shoulder/collarbone area. You can reach up and adjust the armor to make it better, but it never completely alleviates the problem. Its just a nuisance on a short ride, but becomes a larger annoyance on longer rides.

Excellent Jacket
Great styling and protection features. Added a Sheild Air back protector. Comfortable in the riding position, especially considering the high level of protection. Selcted this product after reviewing many, many Revzilla product videos on line and trying on many jackets in the Phila showroom. Staff were highly knowledgeable, helpful and friendy. Price is on the higher side, but the price you would pay for a cheap jacket on a "get off" situation is much, much higher. Plus this looks like it is built great and will last for a long, long time. Definately recommend this product.

Nice fashionable jacket
This jacket is very nice, it feels as though it provides a lot of protection with a comfortable fit. The only downside is that the button fell off after one week of use. I am hoping that it does not represent the quality ofthe product as a whole.. for example on the seams where it needs to count incase of a crash. That is why I can only give it 4 our of 5 stars.

Dainese does it again - another superb jacket
I've owned a number of Dainese jackets and pants over the years. Each have been outstanding without exception. This jacket is no different.
On fit - it's a little on the large side IMO in comparison to other Dainese jackets I've owned. I usually wear 46/48; 46 for a summer jacket that I only plan to have t-shirts or under armor beneath and 48 for a 3 season jacket. I have this one in a 48, it's a little large but still a good fit for me. I'm 5'8" and 145lbs for reference; my chest size is 37 1/2.
The jacket is incredibly comfortable; it feels sturdy, like you could wear this thing naked and still be fully protected. The D-Skin leather is about as good as protective leather gets. I don't think I'll ever wear another jacket without it. It's also very warm; I've worn it out in 30-40 degree weather with only a t-shirt on; and for a city jaunt, you don't feel a thing. I haven't gotten out to the city with it yet so I don't know how it performs at high speeds.
It's a great technical jacket, the armor doesn't get in the way like it so many other jackets I've owned. It goes great with my Delta-Pro pants, but to be honest, I have a new delmar that I use for track day riding, I bought this jacket for just riding around so I could still have leather protection without a speed hump.
All in all, this is my new go-to jacket. It's comfortable, and low-key enough to wear around even without the bike and super comfortable to ride with! No complaints at all.

Amazing detailing
Just opened the box. My god this jacket is beautiful. The detailing is spectacular. Won't be able to test it till spring though. I'm 5'11" 200lbs and the 54 fit like a glove.
I'll update review when I ride with it.

Fantastic Jacket
I bought this jacket as an upgrade to a textile jacket I've had ever since I started riding. I have to say, this jacket is worth every cent.
The styling is impeccable! I chose the all black version for a more subtle look to wear riding to and from University. This means that the Dainese logos are there for admirers, but not too overbearing like other motorcycle jackets out there. I like the metallic shoulder guard as they give a nice aggressive look to the jacket.
The best thing about the Alien is the 3d bubble liner. Living in Melbourne, Australia, the weather changes four times a day. So it is nice to have a jacket that maintains a comfortable body temperature when riding whether it be a warm or cold day. The temperature ranges from 13-22°C (55-72°F) here during a typical day.
The sizing on the jacket is slightly smaller than measured. I am a size 50, but moved up to a 52 which is a little bit more loose and comfortable to wear. it also leaves plenty of room to fit in a back protector in future.
Overall this is a fantastic mid-high end range jacket worth every cent. It is comfortable and looks great.

Awesome Jacket!
I debated for weeks and weeks on my first 'big money' leather jacket to replace my 10 year old ballistic nylon Joe Rocket.
I wanted something that i could make work spring to fall in northern New England (riding temps 50-80F). I paired this jacket with an Aztec shirt (see separate review), and so far am very happy.
I love the simple (few pockets and no flaps/velcro) but aggressive style (metallic shoulder armor etc) of this jacket, and the quality is very good.
Speaking of pockets. the inside chest pocket is perfect for an ipod, and the outer pockets are fine if all you need is a wallet and cell.
I admit i was very skeptical of the 'stretch panels' letting in too much cool air on a naked bike, but so far have been impressed with the temp regulation of the jacket between the panels and bubble liner in a range of temps with only a long sleeve t-shirt underneath. I just add the Aztec shirt for cooler days. I said this about the X5 boots, but most of the time i forget I am even wearing a jacket and am simply comfortable, which is about perfect in my book.
I did have to try multiple sizes (i'm 6'1" and 235lbs), and ended up with the size 60, which fits great. But the beauty of Revzilla is i was able to order and return several jackets until i found the right size. (Something my local dealer was unwilling to do b/c i'm into larger than their common sizes).
Overall, awesome jacket!
