Decent product, but not for highway use
I purchased this shield to better control wind at highways speeds. However, on the 2nd day, while turning my head to clear traffic for a lane change, the shield was ripped off the helmet by wind. Last seen, bouncing down I95 at 68 MPH. Excellent face shield for local riding only

Useless after just one ride.
I bought this along with the fixed shield version to mount to my Bell 500 helmet. The lens is a light smoke, so you can still see through slightly. I really liked the visor at first, but during my first ride, the ratcheting system weakened and the visor blows up every time you turn your head. turn your head back and it slaps back down in your face...making lane changes a pain in the rear. So unless you plan on sticking to city streets, find a different visor. I looked but see no way of tightening the ratchets.

Great Fit and sweet Flip!
This thing fit my Speed and Strength SS600 open face helmet perfectly, it's a thing of beauty really. There's little adjustable snaps on the sides too so I'm sure it'll fit a wide variety of helmets. I bought it because I wear glasses and ride a moped and it fits my bill perfectly. Got an open face helemt? Got a moped? Get you one! Yeahh, real good stuff here all around.

For those that wear glasses
I am a glasses wearer and trying to find something that will block the wind is a real PAIN. I found this Bell Flip Up 500 Visor and thought that I would give it a try. WOW, what a difference it makes. My glasses fit inside the unit, the wind doesn't drive me nuts with pain in the eyes, I can wear my Sunglasses OVER my prescription glasses, its WONDERFUL. I recommend the 500 for any glasses wearer and for anyone that likes to wear sunglasses while driving a Motorcycle. Thank you BELL for such a great product.

this shield fit a harley helmet perfectly
the face shield is of a good shape for vision and also wind resistance. the spacing from your face doesn't feel confining yet blocks the air from bothering you.

Basic visor.
Basic visor. Best feature is you can flip it up, always a handy thing.
As many of you know, an open-face helmet with a visor is great for summer, spring, fall and winter (a bit cold in winter). But, at 65 mph or more, it will rattle and may blow off it your turn your head sideways - which happened to me. Not a product flaw, just a limitation to the visor concept itself.

good for ATV trail riding, up normally & down when there's brush
I use this setup for my ATV mostly, but I have used it on my adventure bike. I searched every cycle shop & sporting good store around and ended up getting this from Revzilla to replace my severely scratched 12 year old face shield , costing a couple of bucks more than it costed 12 years ago. I had to buy two, a clear and a dark- love them both. I love these for slow going in the woods or ice fishing off my snowmobile- so you can see these will definatly get used.

I wanted a face shield that flips up and this is made for the helmet I chose.

I was looking for eye protection but this doesn't work well as the flip keeps flying up with the wind, there is no holding in place.

nice to combine visor and face shield for the type of ride I do - easy to lift up in the morning when it fogs up with the ''cold'' northern California cold .. .all relative ;-) - and great end of day for the sun protection in the eyes
olivier l on Apr 18, 2016
I chose this visor for the simple fact I need to protect my whole face from the uv rays. I already have a full face nolan helmet which is just to confining for every day riding, so I'm going to give this a try!

Hello - does anyone know if this flip up shield would fit a Biltwell Gringo?
A shopper on Mar 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: If it has the 3 standard spacing snaps it should.
Revzilla is great about returns if it doesn't.

How good a fit is this on a Shoei RJ Platinum size 2x helmet?

I tried another brand of face shield, purchased elsewhere. Which, while it looks curiously identical, I am hoping that it's not really as the one I tried will not close fully in the down position. It hits the sides of the RJ Platinum first
A shopper on Oct 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I can't really answer this question as I used mine on a half helmet for a rain shield so there are no sides for it to hit on.
I am looking to purchase a speed and strength open face helmet ..... will this shield work with it ?
A shopper on Feb 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure I bought it for a Bell. The two snaps to the sides are adjustable they slide so maybe. You should call Rev and ask them to try one.
