Bell Custom 500 Flip-Up Visor Shield
good for ATV trail riding, up normally & down when there's brush
I use this setup for my ATV mostly, but I have used it on my adventure bike. I searched every cycle shop & sporting good store around and ended up getting this from Revzilla to replace my severely scratched 12 year old face shield , costing a couple of bucks more than it costed 12 years ago. I had to buy two, a clear and a dark- love them both. I love these for slow going in the woods or ice fishing off my snowmobile- so you can see these will definatly get used.

Decent product, but not for highway use
I purchased this shield to better control wind at highways speeds. However, on the 2nd day, while turning my head to clear traffic for a lane change, the shield was ripped off the helmet by wind. Last seen, bouncing down I95 at 68 MPH. Excellent face shield for local riding only

Very nice shield
This shield works great with the Bull 500 helmet and works well at blocking wind while giving a great field of vision.

Great Fit and sweet Flip!
This thing fit my Speed and Strength SS600 open face helmet perfectly, it's a thing of beauty really. There's little adjustable snaps on the sides too so I'm sure it'll fit a wide variety of helmets. I bought it because I wear glasses and ride a moped and it fits my bill perfectly. Got an open face helemt? Got a moped? Get you one! Yeahh, real good stuff here all around.

I have both, Clear and Tinted
First let me tell you, I had no idea in my state the tinted ones were illegal when nearing darkness. Fortunately, I told him I have a clear one at home and showed him my order (from Revzilla) for the clear version (on my mobile phone) and he let me off with a warning.
Personally, I love the tinted. The clear is great when driving through nature. You get to see everything in full color, in detail. Its amazing.
Easily snaps on and off. They do scratch pretty easy although it could also mean I treat it pretty bad. Fortunately they're $15, so off the helmet goes swinging away, left to right.

Poor Optical Quality
I recently got prescription glasses and wanted an open face helmet with a visor. Went with the Bell 500 (excellent) and the Bell flip up visor shield with the idea I could take the helmet on and off without removing my glasses. Looks good and functions great but the optical quality of the visor is poor at best. There is a ripple all the way across the shield right in my field of view. So, I ordered a Bell retro 3 snap shield. Although not in the description the center snap sits in a vertical slot that allows enough tilt that I can take the helmet on and off (visor installed) without removing my glasses. Unlike the flip up visor shield, the retro 3 snap shield has excellent optical quality.

this shield fit a harley helmet perfectly
the face shield is of a good shape for vision and also wind resistance. the spacing from your face doesn't feel confining yet blocks the air from bothering you.

Basic visor. Best feature is you can flip it up, always a handy thing.
As many of you know, an open-face helmet with a visor is great for summer, spring, fall and winter (a bit cold in winter). But, at 65 mph or more, it will rattle and may blow off it your turn your head sideways - which happened to me. Not a product flaw, just a limitation to the visor concept itself.
