Great product
Very happy with the coat, fits kinda small based on online's chart. Had to return original coat for next size up, but service is awesome. Shipping could be a bit faster, takes at least a week.

I love the Tech 1-R!
The tech 1-r is a great jacket. My Gmx Motion was maybe a tad bit better. But the fit was too big. This is perfect. Love the tech 1-r.

Bang for the Buck
Really good feel once you were it. Astars quality shown everywhere. Fit is perfect but the jackets run a little smaller.
When I measured myself I was definitely a size or 2 smaller in the chest and the shoulders. But I had longer sleeves. So I tried one of my friends monza and I also tried a trigger suit and I bought one size up. So you really have to figure out where you stand by trying on some jackets from astars(the snug fit ones especially have a different fit and stitch)
Comparing it with a astars gp-pro jacket and a monza jacket(from a 2-piece suit) this one feels and has lots more of safety features like additional padding throughout and external sliders, etc.
Do some research between top grain Vs full grain leather and you will get a better idea I guess.
Other than that a really good jacket from astars for spirited street riding and an average track rider. I am not sure about pro-level of protection for people interested in pro-level track riding. Might have to look a little above the order I guess.
So far no complaints. But be careful with sizing. Try one before you make an order to avoid the hassle of exchanging for the right size.

Awesome leather
Awesome fit and feel. Would recommend this jacket to anyone who is canyon riding or doing track days.

You really do get what you pay for with the Tech 1-R jacket.
Was looking for a great jacket and found it with the Tech 1-R. Purchased a white/black in size 38/48. I'm 5'10" with a 37" chest and the jacket was a little tight when I first put it on. I've been breaking it in and I'm really starting to feel it loosen up. Keep in mind that this jacket does break in a bit and that it's not meant to be comfortable walking around with it on. Anything bigger would have been a little too loose after break-in. Comfort and fit really shines when using it on the bike. My only complaint is that the mesh lining is a little abrasive around the neck area.

Tech 1-R is Awesome
I got this jacket in a 54 and what do you know? Its a perfect fit. Which had me a little concern at choosing the size at first because I am 5'6'' 190. 43'' around the chest with a bit of a gut, but I know now it was an excellent choice. Looks excellent, Feels excellent, The stretch panels do its job in flexing, and what do you expect from Alpinestars? They are a number 1 for a reason. The only problem I have, is with the hump in the back. It does give you that MotoGP feel and look but it doesn't really give you the clearance with your helmet like you would want. You look at MotoGP humps and you will notice that it dips in a little to give the helmet room to move while your crouched forward. The Hump on here sticks out a little and when you crouch forward it pushes your helmet forward when you want to look up. That's my only complaint. Now about protection, I had a minor low side recently and I was wearing this jacket, and I'm glad I was because I know without it I probably would of been messed up. I didn't feel a thing when I hit the Ground. So I know it did its job. So I am happy with the protection it provides. It is well worth the money.

Otima Jaqueta
Havia só experimentado em uma loja e comprei e adorei, otima jaqueta encaixe perfeito estou um pouco acima do peso mas ela não aperta para incomodar, recomendadissima, só sobre o sol quente ela é um pouco quente mas em clima normal muito amena.
