Expensive but worth every penny!
Purchased a 40 but it was a little short in the arms so I swapped for a 42, still a little shorter than I had hoped but much better. I am 5'10"/150lbs, very slim with long arms so jacket fitment has always been an issue for me. Snug but not tight around the chest and shoulders, quite a bit more loose around the stomach and waist even after adjusting the velcro straps at the bottom (if I had a more average build it would fit PERFECT). Protection is excellent and in the right areas, does not feel cumbersome or awkward when riding. Flows much more air than I thought it would which is great for those warmer summer days. For the price it would be nice to have the bionic back protector. Overall a great jacket that looks amazing, fits very comfortably, and makes me feel a lot safer while riding.

Great feature-full premium jacket
The 2013 Celer replaces my 2009 SP-1 jacket and is the second Alpinestars leather jacket I’ve owned. The jacket itself is very heavy, weight-wise, but the leather is soft from the get-go. I have large(ish) arms, so I went with a size 54 jacket even though I know a 52 would fit better around the chest. Once I added the bionic back protector and chest pads, the jacket fit more snugly in the chest and back, but there’s still a lot of room around the stomach area. I’m 5’ 7”, and the Celer is definitely on the long side for me, but not annoyingly so. As far as comfort goes, it’s 10x more comfortable than the old SP-1, mostly because if the accordion panels, but also because of the suppleness of the leather. It definitely has a race cut though, so don’t plan on straightening your arms. I haven’t worn it in extreme heat yet, but on a low-80s day, the shoulder and back vents do provide more than expected airflow. The aero hump is very large for an off-the-shelf jacket, but its situated low enough that it doesn’t interfere with the back of the helmet.
One negative point about the jacket is the Velcro on the pockets that hold the armor isn’t adequate, and I’ve had the back protector slide out the bottom of the back pocket. Another is the sleeves are a bit long for a race-cut jacket, and it may be difficult to get a pair of gauntlet gloves over the cuffs.
The red in the photo is a bit off of the actual color, but the jacket matches the red in my A-stars boots and gloves perfectly.
Overall, a great jacket, and I’d buy it again.

You get what you pay for

+ ventilated at high speed in the abdomen area, there are also 2 zip wind traps for each shoulder area, haven't tried those yet
- all leather disadvantages (hot, rigid, uncomfortable at first)
I am a thin build (170 lbs, not skinny, good chest for my profile). I have a size 50 EU. It fits good, although a bit smaller overall for the chest. Waist and arms are good. Comfortable neck, but you're not protected if something hits your neck.

Great Riding Jacket
I bought this looking for a new jacket with a more track focused style. The jacket looks great and it feels very well put together. When riding the jacket is most comfortable in an arms bent, chest close to the tank, racing body position. I upgraded the chest and back armor, and both feel great, not intrusive. I am very happy I bought this jacket, makes me feel very solid when riding and riding hard.

My new favorite jacket
This jacket has quickly become my favorite riding jacket! While offering great protection and having the options to increase protection levels if your looking protection this is top notch. As far as air flow goes this jacket breaths! While riding at highway speeds with vents closed at 60 ferinhite I was cold. After having the beginning of summer hit I was able to take this jacket out at 90 ferinhite and found it very nice at speed as with all jackets red lights are rough as far as heat goes but with the air flow the celer jacket provides it is very comfortable at speeds above 30 or 40 mph. Styling of this jacket is great it offers the race for while being very nice on the eyes! All buyers looking at this jacket get a measuring tape and measure yourself with the chart revzilla offers for alpinestar jackets it fits very true to that chart! Over all I give this jacket a 5 star rating with all features in mind this jacket offers you everything that a street or track rider would want! You will not be disappointed with this jacket!

Great jacket
I have been waiting so long for the red celer to come out and ordered it the day Rev got it in. Received it today and took it out for a ride. Great fit, very comfortable. Big improvement from my GP Plus. Softer leather, fixed the zippers so that I can actually open them. I can't even notice the hump when riding. One thing about the red celer though is that the color shown here is slightly different from the actual jacket. Look below for a more accurate photo. Overall very satisfied.
