AGV AX-8 DS Face Shield
Look Good, See Great!
Not so dark that you can't see on an overcast day, but very effective in the sun. From the outside it looks shockingly good on the matte black helmet, with a very slight bluish tint.
Absolutely great peripheral vision, and zero distortion. A bit costly and no pinlock option, however.

AX-8 smoke shield
The smoke shield is expensive for what it is. But the Helent does not look the same without it. You need to have the smoke shield to get that badass effect.

a must buy with this helmet
Completes the helmet! I bought the tinted shield for the sun here in san diego, and at least once a day i get compliments about how great my helmet looks with the blacked out visor.Thing is perfect.

Great visor for the Ax-8
You need this for the ax-8 evo naked helmet. Having the dark tint really makes that helmet look mean. You get a lot of looks with this gear on.
One thing I can guarantee - you will not regret buying this with the AX-8 Evo Naked helmet.

great looks and functions well in bright sunlight
Little over priced for a piece of tinted plastic... But is a huge aesthetic add on for the helmet.

The black visor on the black helmet looks great, but in comparison to any other visor I have purchased AGV is a little proud of their product for what it is.

Blocks out the sun and keeps ya lookin' cooooool.
The sun doesn't actually bother me that much, but I like having a "one way mirror" on my helmet. This visor not only keeps things comfortably visible on a sunny day (don't use this at night), but it also prevents you from being seen when you're a) checking out the spicy mamas, b) staring at someone while being bored at a light, or c) drop your bike because your shoe lace hooked onto the peg.
Lots of mud and sand have hit this visor. Wiped it off and the finish is still good on the outside. HOWEVER, this is more of a problem with the helmet, the inside of the visor gets scratched up because it scrapes the helmet when you put it up. Beware.

(for the smoke shield)
My only issue is really an issue with the helmet proper -- changing the shields sucks. I regularly do all day rides that last hours into the dark, and pulling over to switch the AGV shields (which involves two screws and washers) sounds like a great recipe for losing the connective parts.
The smoked tinting is perfect. Dark enough that sunlight, even direct, isn't too bothersome, but not too dark that shade or redwood tree forests become unnavigable.
