I ride in temps down into the teens, and under my full-face this def keeps my head and face warm.
I like that the lower portion does cover as much as it down. Helps with keeping those chilly little drafts that ca work their way in.

If you ride below 30 degrees, this is the balaclava for you! This really does keep your neck, throat, and face warm, as if you were home by a lit fireplace. It works great in the teens and 20s, all the way up into the 40s. It is super warm. I wish it'd cost less, but it really works!! I do have the $15 version and it just doesn't cut it. This one does the job, all by itself, without any added layers.

Useful to have
Glad to have the dickie and the full face cover. Wish the nose ridge was wired to shape and keep exhale from fogging the visor of the helmet (3/4) still fogged at the stops and slower speeds. Fits well, covers well, warm enough though chin could have used extra as the only exposed part of my head.

William L B: It looks like it has a lot of coverage on the shoulders and chest. My jacket is a little loose and doesn't have much of a collar so I'm hoping this balaclava will stay in my jacket when I turn my head.Sep 22, 2014
Matt F: Good reviews and I am tired of my face & neck getting cold on my ride to work.Mar 16, 2014
SHAUN A:Although it is a great item, you'd probably eventually distort it if you tried to pull it off your head/face without fully removing it. It is somewhat thick and I have a XXL helmet (yeah, I'm a fathead) and it is snug. Not uncomfortable, just snug. I use it only in the coldest, windiest conditions and I like to NOT remove it when stopping. Just the helmet. I don't recall if they come in different sizes but if not, I don't think it'll work for you with a medium helmet. Nov 1, 2013
RevZilla:The only difference between the Arctiva Dickie Balaclava and the Arctiva Windbloc Balaclava is the fact that the Dickie has a lower fleece area for extra upper torso warmth. Besides that, they are the same.Nov 13, 2012
