For $150, you can't go wrong with this helmet. I bought this to try out the built-in sun visor but ended up falling in love with this helmet, great helmet for commuting. Matte black looks awesome!

Great bang for the buck
This helmet does not fog up! The venting system leaves a bit to be desired and It's a little loud, but the features and comfort far exceeded what I was expecting out of a helmet of this price. Definitely a great value and I recommend it to anyone.

Great Value, Good Quality
I'm a Shoei guy. Japanese certified make really means good quality and protection but this time I was looking for something good but more affordable, basically for the passenger.
After checking other brands, Revzilla customer service recommended me to check this brand. I trust these guys' advice, as they have never let me down before. Once again I was please with my choice. For 150's price range, This helmet has a very good quality. The design is a bit more aggressive than my Shoei modular. The fit is precise, but keep on mind I have circular head shape. If you are very oval you might need to go one size up. Make sure to call and ask Revzilla team before placing your order. For a 1,530 grams (size Medium), the weight is really comfortable (350 grams lighter than my shoei).
Great inner sun visor integrated. You definitely should check this brand if you are looking for something good but less pricy.
Only con... I think it might not be the best option for summer time. Ventilation might not be the best feature. So far I've been riding on the mountains 10,000 ft above sea level. It keeps me well warmed, so I don't know how will perform under the heat.

So good I'm buying a 2nd!
You heard me correctly. My first IS-16 lasted 3 years and had life in her still. I dropped my helmet, breaking the SunVisor lever off, which then broke the actual visor. This helmet is not light, nor heavy. It's not quiet, but you get what you pay for.
Some quick advice to people buying this: I have noticed in the time that I've had mine, and after washing the padding, that the padding does compress alot leaving the helmet feeling loose. I remember when I bought the helmet, thinking that the helmet was too tight. Now there is just enough play to say loose, but not unsafe. Just the right amount of play before I would suggest replacing the helmet anyways. I also own a Speed and Strength SS1300, and a ICON Domain 2 Devil Dog, but all build quality still goes to HJC, and the price at that! Hope this helps!

love this helmet!
ordered this helmet to replace my cs-r2 that was damaged in a fall. received it today and took it for a ride in the rain. helmet fist great, a little tight but it will break in. its a little quieter than my cs-r2 but i wear ear plugs anyway. this helmet is actually a lot lighter than my previous helmet. ordered the matte black finish and love it. its a lot darker in person than in the stock photo. for $150, you cant go wrong. revzilla shipping is amazing. placed the order on april 9th at night. received my helmet on the 11th. didn't rate durability high since only time will tell.

Love it!
For the price this helmet is just what I wanted! The built in sun shield is wonderful, and very easy to use with gloves on. It doesn't flow air through as well as I hoped but once you get up to a cruising speed it does a decent enough job. My boyfriend has been stealing it for his rides because he is also infatuated :) On a side note, the matte black version is worth paying a little more for!

For the price love it
Love this helmet for the price. First helmet I bought, low price and very good. Unless you want to spend twice or three times more you won't find another helmet that is better. I would definitely recommend this helmet to anyone that would fit correctly in this. I never had an issue with fogging.

This helmet is an excellent choice to have the best of all things needed in a good quality and affordable piece of protection.
I purchased this helmet to replace my existing IS16 that was damaged during a minor fall recently. The helmet did its job and I never ride without one. I have 3 HJC helmets and I use the IS16 mostly for cold to cooler weather outings. It has great visibility, feels very comfortable and looks good. Above all I love the protection it offers. In addition to the product review, Revzilla is the best I have dealt with regarding their website information videos and their speedy order processing and delivery. I will continue to order from Revzilla as the need arises. Thank you guys.
