GMax GM68 Helmet - Solid Colors

GMAX follows-up the huge success of the 46X off road helmet with the same winning combinations for the new GM68 full face street helmet. Plenty of ventilation and plenty of style. Includes tinted shield and a deluxe helmet bag with shield pocket.

The GM68 also features GMAX's Patented L.E.D. light on the rear of the helmet, which is incorporated into rear vent and has different easy to use light settings.

  • High air fllow top intake vents feature larger controls for easy use with gloved hands
  • Large rear exhaust vents get the hot air out
  • Interior designed to assist shell and styro venting by not blocking the vent holes and channels
  • Lightweight, multiple shells and styro’s for GMAX premium fit and maximum comfort
  • DOT approved, lightweight thermo-plastic poly alloy shell
  • Plush, removable, washable Coolmax® interior allows for custom fit and comfort that is second to none
  • Removable adjustable cheekpads for custom fitting with optional sized cheek pads
  • Interior designed for noise reduction, with noise reduction cheek pad shape, vented chin curtain and rear neck roll shape
  • Padded chin strap with D-Ring closure and retention snap secures the excess strap
  • Patented LED light is incorporated into the rear vent, unobtrusive design is easy to use with different light settings
  • Anti-scratch optically corrected shield is easily removed
  • Large eyeport for improved range of vision
  • Molded front air defl ector directs hot breath away from the shield to reduce fogging and the adjustable chin vent directs fresh air upward across the inside of the shield, to help reduce fogging
  • Painted shell with high-tech water decals and high quality clear coat finish

I think this was a great buy for the price. Its a little heavy and runs a little small around my cheeks. The lights in the back are a great add and provide a little more visibility at night. It looks cool and gives great airflow. Only problem I have with the Helmet is that the inner liner above my eyes keeps pulling out. I think some glue might fix the problem though.

This helmet is very comfortable. You can't beat the features you get for the price such as the extra tinted face shield. I like the idea of extra visibility with the built in led's and would use even in the daytime. Good safety feature more manufacturers should think about incorporating into thier helmets. After reading other reviews I was concerned the helmet might be noisy but I found it wasn't any more noisy than my Shoei Hornet. Visibility through the face shield is clear and excellent. Overall a very nice helmet. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one or even try other Gmax products.

Answer: 
A standard D ring and snap for the excess. Strap goes through one side of the D ring, out the other, and then the excess has a button snap that connects to the strap to keep it from flapping around. Its nice and secure but its hard to do with gloves on, even mesh ones. Probably the only downside of the helmet.
