GMax GM68 Helmet - Solid Colors

GMAX follows-up the huge success of the 46X off road helmet with the same winning combinations for the new GM68 full face street helmet. Plenty of ventilation and plenty of style. Includes tinted shield and a deluxe helmet bag with shield pocket.

The GM68 also features GMAX's Patented L.E.D. light on the rear of the helmet, which is incorporated into rear vent and has different easy to use light settings.

Great Purchase for the price I bought this for my girlfriend to use when we ride 2up. Awesome look and finish. The LED lights are a plus. They have 3 modes - steady, blinking, and rapid blinking. Great for riding at night. June 10, 2013

Best bang for the buck I Just replaced my beloved Marushin VT-910, I know I waited way too long. The GMAX is just as good/better "bang for the buck", helmet, in my opinion. I purchased the gmax in the XL size, the same size as my beloved Marushin, and the fit is great. My head is almost round, but not quite. I would recommend this helmet to a friend, without question. The GMAX is many steps ahead of the past. This helmet is lighter, vents better, has the safety of LED lighting, and the bonus dark shield is great! The only thing I miss is the Snell certification, and by the time I replaced my helmet, I'm pretty sure that didn't matter either... June 8, 2013

Best helmet for the price I'm a new rider. This is the first helmet I've bought. The reason why I bought the helmet was only because of the price, but the extras that came with it. For instance, the helmet bag is good quality and not cheaply made by any means. They included not only a clear visor, but tinted as well. The tinted comes in it's own sleeve which makes for safe storage for either visor that isn't being used. The led lighting on the back is amazing too. It has three settings which increase your visibility during the day and especially at night. The overall feel of the helmet to me, felt like I was putting back on a football or lacrosse helmet in high school again. So If you played either one of those sports, this helmet will feel the exact same. It's easy to get used to and the padding molds well to your features. I highly recommend this for beginners and experienced riders as well!! June 3, 2013

Awesome Helmet This helmet excels in every area that counts. It's protection and durability are fantastic, you even feel secure inside it because of how much padding has gone into it. Also, the range of vision provided (plus the added bonus of a tinted visor) make any vision related potential problems nonexistent. The vents are perfect and provide better than excellent airflow, I'm constantly riding around the city in 85-90 degree heat and haven't really sweat at all. You will get a decent amount of road noise, however that's the price you pay for the wide range of vision and ample ventilation, my visor never fogs and I rarely sweat; I'll take those over a slightly quieter trip any day. The helmet is a bit bulbous, however that is because of the vents and very sturdy protection; again, I will more than gladly trade in a more narrow helmet for better protection any day. The size does not detract from its looks however, people are always complimenting me on how good the helmet looks and asking where I got it, it's very slick. The LEDs on the back provide an excellent visibility boost for dusk into the night, I always feel safer having one of the three settings turned on and I know that it makes me easier to spot from a distance. Lastly, the speaker pouches are perfect by the ears. I was able to break apart a traditional headphone and place the speakers in the pouches snugly, now I have great stereo music without even noticing that I have speakers placed. This helmet is fantastic, GMax clearly pulled out all the stop and I for one recommend this helmet to everyone. May 29, 2013

My first helmet even though this is my first helmet and I don't have a lot of experience to compare it against, but I really think this helmet is great, it fits correctly (at least around the head part, my cheeks are a little squeezed), has outstanding vision, plenty of air flow, removable lining, has a great look and finish (even though the finish gets easily stained with fingerprints and such), comes with an extra tinted visor, and offers the lighting feature in the back for night driving. I haven't crashed with (fortunately) so i'm not sure about the actual protection it offers, but it's at least DOT approved which means it fits their standards. and the price is just awesome for all the features it has. overall, I don't think there is a better bang for the buck out there. Love this helmet!!! Fits great. Looks awesome ( like something batman would have) Good air flow. Comes with smoked shield and smoked light cover. The light feature is pretty cool. ( even tho you never see it) Over all this is a great Helmet! May 13, 2013

You cannot beat this helmet I recently bought the gm68 helmet and love it. It has great style, tons of air vents if needed. It only fogs when I'm stalled at a light and kicking for a few minutes with the visor closed,lol. This helmet comes with a dark visor, which in itself usually costs 30$. My head is 7 5/8, which is pretty big..and the large fits perfectly, snug around the face, does not move at all. This is my first helmet being that I just got into riding, but you cannot go wrong with this helmet. You will love it! May 6, 2013

Answer:

A standard D ring and snap for the excess. Strap goes through one side of the D ring, out the other, and then the excess has a button snap that connects to the strap to keep it from flapping around. Its nice and secure but its hard to do with gloves on, even mesh ones. Probably the only downside of the helmet.
