Tryonic See+ Back Protector

Compared to the Feel3.7, the See+ back protector offers a slightly lower impact value (7,7kN), yet still clearly within the CE Level 2 norm (EN1621-2) but at reduced weight and using a thinner outer shell, thus offering a perfect alternative for those enthusiasts out there preferring lower weight over higher impact values. The See+ weighs only 660 gr (average) yet offers an unsurpassed combination between ergonomic design, comfort and high performance shock absorption. The EPS inner core ensures high level energy absorption (7,7 kN energy release). Another unique feature is the patented adjustable belt closure (T.C.F. –Tryonic Custom Fit), ensuring a perfect for every rider. As the See+ has been tested for winter sports, up to minus 20 degrees Celsius without performance loss, it is the perfect choice for a variety of winter sports athletes as well.

Great, low profile protector, CE Level 2, stays cool. I ordered a LG, I'm 6' 2 1/2", perfect fit. I like that it's CE Level 2 while maintaining a slim profile. Easily fits under my riding jacket (I took out the soft foam back pad that came with my jacket). I use it to commute to work. I don't notice I wear it once I ride. Have not crash tested it (thankfully). Owned it for 4 months now, no problem with quality. Only room for improvement is that the waist strap tends to ride up towards my chest. It would be great if you could latch it into the riding pants somehow to keep it down. But that's a very minor issue, the protector still stays in place. September 22, 2015
Couldn't be happier The pocket for a back protector insert on the jacket I own is very small, and the available CE-rated armor option was dismal. I had no choice but to go with a dedicated spine protector, and in the end I am glad I did. This protects so much better than the jacket inserts IMO. It's larger than what you'd get in a jacket, going all the way down to the base of the spine. I don't exaggerate when I say I don't even notice it when I ride. Highly recommended. September 7, 2015
Seems to do what it's advertised to I bought this mainly for long rides. It is very easy to put on and adjust. It doesn't feel obtrusive with my jacket on either. I gave it a 4 star for bang for your buck because it's a one and done protector. I hopefully won't ever need to replace it though. August 10, 2015
Looks great A friend of my is a professional racer and told me to get this. I barely ever remember it's on my back. August 3, 2015
Great protector just remember it's one-n-done Comfortable, and easy to adjust. Fits great under hoodie or jacket. Even wore it under a T with very little awkwardness (Just a small hunch back appearance) Only negs are that there are alot of straps on this thing and since it's a one-n-done it loses a little on protection & value June 4, 2015
great protection great back protector….easy on and off application…fits snug and well under race suit only gripe is that its kind of a pain on the back of your neck when it rides up your back in the tuck position July 25, 2014
Excellent adjustments for accurate fitment The shoulder and waist adjustment allows this back protector to fit up exactly where you want it to be. It will stay in place while being comfortable. Good design to have the shoulder straps connect to the back and not the waist. Once in place, the protector is flexible and moves with you. I don't notice it there when riding, allowing me to concentrate on riding the motorcycle. July 21, 2014
great buy! I bought this for the wife. She loves it fits good and looks good. For the price I got it for it has great quality. The woman that helped me at the store for the purchase was very knowledgeable and no pressure on buying an item she just want to make sure this is what I was looking for great staff. June 9, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Christopher K: Looked to be a great replacement item for my back. The jacket I purchased came with its own CE armor insert, however I (now) much prefer this spine protector. Turns out that this was a great buy. Still using it, today. 5/28/2015 May 28, 2015
Joseph G: needed one for the track. very comfortable Feb 23, 2015

Peter T asked: I'm 6'3" / 190cm, upper and lower body in proportion...86kg / 190lbs. Should I get the L or XL? The XL isn't in the size chart by the way. Wearing it under a sz 54 Dainese jacket, mainly commuting / sport riding. Nov 1, 2013

Kevin C: Hey bro. I'm 184cm 190lbs. Built structure. I got the medium from revzilla and it fits perfect. I'd guess you should get the large as you wouldn't want the tail of the protector dropping too low. It's a great product. Fit and comfort. Also it makes me feel a lot safer mentally at higher speeds. Never truly tested it on the pavement and don't intend too brother.

Cheers to a great product. Hope this helps.

john m: You are probably just over the limit of the L. I'm 6' 185 and I was close to the needing an xl but my legs are long and my upper body kind of short. The bottom of the L comes right below my belt line in the back. Nov 1, 2013

Marcus B asked: Is this considered a "hard shell" back protector, or is it more of the flexible type of out material such as the forcefield insets just in a different shape? Oct 6, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Kye D: It is definitely a hard shell but I found it considerably more comfortable than the forcefield. If you watch the video you can see how it conforms very nicely to the the back. I've used mine on nearly a daily basis for the past year Oct 6, 2015

" ": Agreed, this thing contours to the back like nobody's business!! Aside from the straps you'd forget you're wearing it. Lightweight and unobstructive. I've worn it under t-shirts at times. Nov 5, 2015

Scott G: It has an ABS ( hard plastic) outer shell and offers superior protection to most inserts. Oct 6, 2015

Kevin C: Hey bro. I have the See+ back protector and it's an amazing product. I wear under my dainese Aspide jacket and it makes me feel a lot more protected.

I am 5' 10" 200lbs and it does cover my tail bone. In the tuck position it does stick out the base of my jacket covering my tail bone.

Thank god I haven't had it's integrity tested.
Hope this helps.

Eugene S asked: How does it's thickness compare to the Spidi Warrior EVO back protector? Is it lower profile than the SPIDI one? Thanks Mar 31, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jeffrey L: Don't know about the spidi but the trionic is pretty streamlined without feeling too thin to be useful. Fits under my jacket without showing at all. I like the product overall. Coverage will depend on your height though. I'm 5'10" and the coverage is just about right. Mar 31, 2015

A shopper asked: Hi, I am actually looking at using this armor for snowboarding as a precaution due to previous back injury.
I'm looking at the see+ and the Feel 3.7 and other than width, I can't really see much difference.
I am trying to find out what would be the better choice for these two items.
Also, what is your return policy?
Sep 15, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Cedric M: Both are rated for cold Weather temps and sports. I have the See+ for motorcycle racing and if feels great. It also fits very well and moves with under a snug race suit. Since you have a previous injury I would lean towards the 3.7 since it is wider since it would offer more protection coverage area for you. As long as its new, tags in tact and not used, Revzilla will accept it back. I had a large when a medium was needed and they took care of me. Enjoy Oct 4, 2014
