Spidi Women's Warrior Back Protector Insert

Features:

  • The structure of Back Warrior is a multi layered sandwich of materials, the first one of which is stiff and spreads the shock, while the second and third are progressively softer and absorb the energy of impact.
  • The cubes shaping the inner and outer surface of Warrior Back are able to absorb and additional 20% of impact energy more than a simple plain surface, all while maintaining a great abrasion resistance.
  • The inner surface has also been shaped in order to guarantee air circulation thus maintaining comfort, especially in warm climates.
  • The peculiar shape and surface structure also make for a greatly flexible and light protector, easily storable, quick to equip and comfortable for every kind of riding position.
  • CE Certified for heights up to 5 feet.
  • One size fits most

Very short back protector.
I bought this to wear with my Spidi women's summer net jacket. I read the other reviews saying how small/short it is but I still bought it. I too figured better to have something then nothing. But this feels like "scapula only" armor for a steep price. This seems like Spidi cheated us women out of a proper length back protector. So I can't really recommend it unless you want the armor that fits that spidi jacket. Maybe revzilla peeps can recommend another option for the jacket? If not, I still think it is better to have this than nothing.

Get the mens version, fits perfect, better coverage
This is just not long or wide enough to get adequate protection. Get the mens version called the "compact 510", it will fit my girlfriend's two spidi jacket no problem including the new summer net.
Will give you 3 inches more length and 2.5 inches more width.

Fits and airs well but ist smaller than it should
It fits the jacket perfectly and has good air flo, the jacket hardly changes shape with it, as this is very important for Spidi's Italian fashion fit, but is way smaller that the men's protector or other market protectors out there, leaving more of your back exposed, haven't tested it on a crash and hope I never will, but feels like it could be wider.

I have a short torso and this back protector only protects about half my spine. I have an Apinestars mesh jacket with a back protector, and that goes almost all the way down to the tailbone. I don't feel there is any choice in the matter, though, if you buy a Spidi jacket; they are designed for this size of protector. Better than not having it, I'm sure, but wish it were much longer.

Better than no back skid plate.
It's better than nothing but doesn't seem super durable. Just foam on a piece of slightly harder foam. I'm sure it would help (haven't tested that out yet thankfully), but just not sure how much protection it would really offer. Air flow isn't as good with it in, which makes sense since your obstructing the exit for the air. Easy to install but also seems like it could be a little bigger/wider and cover more area.

My current back protectors probably won't fit the Spidi jacket I ordered, so for safety, ordered this to go with the jacket.

Will need this protection with the Spidi jacket I ordered. I don't think any riding jacket should come without the proper armor! But that is a discussion for the manufacturers!

Is this Warrior protector CE rated? I see it listed as such on other sites, but not in this description. Thanks!
A shopper on May 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This back protector arrived sealed in the original Spidi packaging, so I assume it has the CE ratings shown on other sites. It fit my jacket well and it is comfortable to wear. I have not had a chance to test its protective abilities.
Does this Warrior back protector have a CE rating? I see it listed as such on other sites, but not in this description. Looking for good protection in the Netix Mesh jacket. Thanks!

Is this the back protector for the Spidi Women's Poison 2-Piece Race Suit?
A shopper on Dec 11, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The Spidi Women's Poison 2-Piece Race Suit has a pocket in the back to accommodate the Women's Warrior Back Protector Insert. For use on a track, however, you may want to consider using something like the Spidi Back Warrior EVO Back Protector that is CE-Level 2 certified. It will provide better impact absorption and security since it will be strapped to your torso rather than attached to the suit.
