Meets all expectations! I love this jacket. Haven't been on the road too much yet, but I know it will serve me well. the fit was perfect and I love the style and finish. Matches my Classic CB750 K5 perfectly. October 6, 2014
THIS JACKET SAVED MY LIFE THIS JACKET SAVED MY LIFE!!! I originally bought this jacket as a opportunity buy when a store ordered the wrong size but turned out to be an amazing buy! amazingly comfortable and despite thick leather the airflow kept me very comfortable. I was involved in a wreck that is unavoidable, lose gravel threw me off the road and got thrown over the handle bars tumbling off the ground several times. This jacket and the armor it came with prevented me from breaking any bones in by upper body and little to no scrapes. note: this was also with use of a helmet. This jacket saved not just my life but prevented all serious injury and keeps me riding to this day! June 1, 2014
Small in the arms with liner This is a nice jacket, however with the liner in it was too tight in the arms. It felt like I was getting my blood pressure checked within a minute of putting it on. I ditched the whole liner not just the arm parts and I also removed the armor which made the jacket fit/feel better. The airflow is surprisingly good, the two shoulder vents, the slash pockets as vents, the upper arm vents and the back vents flow air well. With the armor gone it is as a leather jacket is supposed to be Road Rash prevention. I recommend gauntlet gloves as I seem to struggle with tucking short cuff gloves under the wrist area of the jacket. May 27, 2014
Great style for the price I actually bought this jacket for my friend, but we're the same height/build (and I tried it on) so I know it fits great! (True to size). It looks awesome, and getting a stylish leather jacket with armor for that price is a pretty hard deal to beat. Goes with just about any style of bike too. Definitely recommend. May 26, 2014
Nice jacket at a reasonable price This is my first motorcycle jacket I was clueless about sizes, how it should fit, etc. The sizing chart was very helpful and not to mention the videos on this product, it all helped me make this purchase. The quality of the leather is superior in my opinion, the vents keep me cool although haven't ridden in triple digit temps, one key feature I love is that the inside layer comes off. At first I thought the jacket was a bit too snug but soon realized that it's supposed to fit snug and after a couple of months of riding the leather broke in nicely. Overall , this jacket is a good purchase it is well made and the armor is very nice too. I would recommend it to anybody. I must also say, in temps below 40 you might need thermal shirt to help keep warm. May 19, 2014
Very good product, but... The jacket is great and I love the look and feel, but I have only worn it for about 200 miles and the stitching at the back tail of the jacket has started to come out. It could just be I got the bum jacket, but it is pretty sad to have stitching come loss so soon. Overall it is a very nice jacket. April 14, 2014
Great jacket overall The mesh on the inside of the pockets has already ripped. And the threading has come loose in a few places. Overall, though, the jacket does a great job of keeping cool with all of the vents open, and keeping heat in when the vents are closed. I've already gone down on my bike, and the pads in the elbows and forearms have saved my limbs. I would highly recommend the jacket despite the mesh and the threading issues. April 2, 2014
Functional Style I'm used to technical mesh touring jackets with more pockets and features than I ever use, but who doesn't want to rock some classic leather on occasion? It's plenty warm with liner in (40 degrees F). Haven't had a chance to test the warm weather airflow, but it has ample venting in all the right places. Well constructed and and "American fit" with a killer asymmetrical Euro sport look. This jacket really didn't give me a choice. Timeless and practical. April 1, 2014

James H asked: I looking for a winter jacket (keep in mind I live in Florida) and wanted to know if this will keep me warm? Oct 10, 2014

Jacob K: Hi James,
So I am from southern california, so I may not be the best person to ask. Although I have ridden it up into the mountains during winter. There was a tiny bit of snow on the sides of the road, so it was at most in the 50s, but probably 40s. I was perfectly comfortable! With the liner in and some flannel, you should be totally fine in Florida. It is also pretty good in summer with the liner out and all the zippers open. I like the jacket a lot.

Gareth W: The liner is pretty warm, biggest weakness is the neck isn't protected at all, so I usually wear a scarf with it on cooler days. I have no idea what winters are like in Florida, but I would feel confident wearing it down into single digits (Celsius). I typically stop riding once it goes below 5C though. Oct 10, 2014

Nathan S: In Florida, definitely? The liner is very thick. I'm able to ride around in the fall in the Pacific Northwest with this jacket and feel comfortable. Except for maybe a a few days, I think that would be just fine for Florida. Oct 10, 2014

Josh D: I live in KY and this jacket is a 100% three season jacket for me. In the winter, I put the liner in with a long sleeve shirt or hoodie and can ride fairly comfortably in temps above 45 degrees. Any colder than that and this jacket comes up a little short. If the weather stays in the mid 50s and above in Florida, you should be fine with the removable liner and a long sleeve shirt. Oct 13, 2014

Warren G: Definitely. If you have the thermal layer in and zip up all the vents you can ride in 50 degree weather no problem. I've also been able to layer under it which helps a lot too. I'm from a colder climate though Oct 11, 2014

Kenneth R asked: Not sure what size to get. I am 5' 8" and 156 lbs. I have a 38" chest, 32.5" waist, arm length is 24.5" to 25". By the chart it looks like I would be a small. I normally where a medium but not sure how this jacket fits. Could anyone help me with the sizing on this jacket? Mar 30, 2014

howie a: hi there...,...i am 5'7"...~160 lbs...short arms, short span of attention too. i tried my usual med. ( i am about 40" chest ) but found it to be too small. swapped it out for a large which was more like a med...arm length was real good & it fit real well otherwise. it doesn't have lots of room for too many under garments...just a hooded sweatshirt or so. it is a nice leather jacket . Matt M: Hey Kenneth Im just a hair bigger than you are. 5' 9" 155-60, 40" chest. I'm wearing the small and its perfect. With the thermal liner in I can wear a T-shirt and a sweatshirt. Its a little tight in the forearms like that but otherwise nice. Hope this helps, safe riding. Mar 30, 2014

Warren G: I am a 6'2" lanky dude and the medium fits me just right. I'm not exactly sure what my chest and arm lengths are though. If I were to guess though I'd say the small is good for you. Mar 30, 2014

Paul P: I'm 5'9" and most of my considerable height is in my torso and this jacket fits very well. (That's more of a joke than a real answer to your question. See answer below.)

This jacket is short by design for a more comfortable riding position. It does extend further in the back so you don't lose coverage when riding. It also is snug at the waist, but has side adjustments to compensate. When I first put this jacket on, I wasn't sure it would fit, because it was so snug at the waist, but once you zip it all the way up, it settles in and is very comfortable and doesn't restrict movement. I really like this jacket for its fit, comfort, protection, and looks. A really nice jacket at a reasonable price.

CHRIS H: I have this jacket, I am 6'2" and 228, my jacket fits snug with the liner in but comfortable, jacket has good build quality, however the zipper is backward, like for a womens jacket, and I seem to notice the shoulder protectors more. Nice jacket. P.S. thank God Riding season is around the corner. Apr 2, 2014

Nathan S: I would say that it's shortish. I'm 6'2'' and it fits good. If it were a little shorter it would be too short. I probably have an average to long length torso. If you truly have a much longer torso than most I think I would pass. Apr 1, 2014
Reply to Nathan Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Jason B: I don't think the jacket is abnormally short, but if your torso is long, it probably won't fit. It's cut to fit correctly when sitting and stops right at my belt. I am average height and build. Apr 1, 2014

Dany S: I bought the Coaster 3 this spring, and put 8000 km on it in various weather. Love this jacket. Very well vented, good quality, adequate protection. That said, i'm quite a big guy, and still it's a bit on the large side (not "baggy", but a bit loose around the arms) once the liner is removed.

Other than that, I would buy it again anytime(plus, the white stripes fit my BMW R1200R classic perfectly !)

Jeremy S: Coaster 3 is rider's jacket first rather than a 'fashion' jacket. I looked at River Road as well. Coaster has better ventilation, armor, well made and appears to be a good value. I'm 5'11", 230 lbs., XL fits perfectly. A little snug but I like the support. Aug 19, 2013

A shopper asked: Will this jacket be comfortable on a sportbike, or is it mainly for cruiser/upright riding? Oct 30, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
SuperFLY91: Fit, size, and contour of this one is great for cooler weather sport bike riding. I ride an FJR 1300, and it works out great. leaning over the tank a little more would not be a problem. Highly recommended! Oct 30, 2012

Stardan: I think it would. There is no thick belt line, or anything that would stress your belly area. Go ahead. May 21, 2013

William H asked: What ce back protector will fit this jacket? Aug 25, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
tom w: I used the Klim D3O Viper T5 Pro Back Protector. Had to trim 3/8 - 1/2 inch off length and it fit great. Makes the jacket a little heavier but don't even know it's there when riding. It also has good air flow . Works great with the venting on the jacket and is very flexible. Super happy with jacket too. Sep 5, 2013

Jacob K: Hi, to be honest I have just left the foam one that came with it in. It is removable though, so I assume you can modify it with better protection, I just don't know the size. I have enjoyed the jacket! Sep 19, 2013

Thomas J asked: what compatible CE rated spine protectors will work with this jacket? I ask because the foam spin protector that comes with the jacket ha an unusual shape to it. Aug 21, 2013

tom w: Klim D3O Viper T5 Pro Back Protector. Just turn it upside down and it is pretty much the same size and shape as the foam that comes with the jacket. Sep 5, 2013
