Saved me on a highway crash
I bought this armor shirt for summer riding because leathers in 100 degree weather was not working for me. I ultimately chose it because it had a single chest piece and I liked the overall look of it.

I high sided on the highway when my rear brake locked and I spilled off. I was going probably 50 MPH when I started braking and was probably going 20 MPH when I fell off. First impact was on the left side of my head, left forearm, and then I rolled quickly.

As for my armor post accident, my left glove was shredded, the arm & both shoulders were were scraped up pretty bad, and I had a few scrapes on the back of the armor. My body had a few bruises and scrapes underneath but nothing bad. The only sustained injury I got was from a bump I took on my left knee. (I was going to buy norsorex pants but hadn't. You can guess what my first purchase was when I went to buy armor again.)

Had I not worn the armor shirt my left arm would have been decimated. That $150 saved me from a lot of bad scarring. I thought about getting the Leatt 3DF but since it has no abrasion protection, I opted to purchase this armor shirt again.

Fits a wide range, no comfort issues, and worked when needed.
I bought one rig for my son and one for me. The LG/XL fit us both 160Lbs / 230lbs. We rode our adventure bikes for 5 days wearing these and moto jersies in hot weather and they were very comfortable. We did safety pin the kidney belts zippers to keep them from coming undone. I went down relatively hard on packed dirt and was glad for the back protector and shoulder armor . Tore up my jersy, but the Thor rig was no worse for wear. Our last day was 12 hours, 500 plus miles and we barely remember we were wearing these. My son plans on wearing his snowboarding this winter.

Very Comfortable
I use this under my MX jersey. Very comfortable and breaths well. I never noticed it one. The fit was perfect as I am 6' 185. During one track session the zipper on the kidney belt came loose. Other then that no problems at all.

Better than the cheaper Fox rig
This rig is very comfortable to wear and has good protection for low speed and off-road riding.

The mesh is soft and flows a lot of air. The chest piece is not separated on your sternum by a zipper like some other rigs, it's a single piece.

I had a crash on dirt where I landed hard on my elbow, shoulder, and knee. I was wearing this rig, but no armor on my knees. I experienced no pain on my arm or upper body afterwards, but my knee was severely bruised and had a good deal of pain. Two weeks later my knee is still tender to the touch and my upper body is still fine.

I was also very impressed that the crash did not crack the rig or damage the mesh.

I think this offers good protection without adding too much bulk. The rig fits snugly under my jacket and doesn't restrict my movements in any noticeable way.

LOVE IT!
Very well designed. Light, super protective, fits perfectly, I'm 6'0 185lbs got the L/XL. It has nice fasteners for a perfect fit.

It's a micro mesh liner and is a sturdy material. I read in reviews the Fox brand at a similar price point was a cheaper mesh and ripped easy so I went with this one and I'm happy so far.

Using currently for skiing as Extra protection for a separated shoulder. Under my ski coat it's barley noticeable and very comfortable. Much like normal armored bike jacket.

It just works and works great. Very well thought out. If this was also marketed for the Ski and Snowboard industry at this great price, they'd make a killing.

REVZILLA simply rocks. It came in like two days to California. Fantastic business I recommend to all my friends, the only place to shop for great GEAR. Keep it up! :)

pleasant surprise
the Thor rig is $100 less than the similar Ikon Stryker, so I was suprised to find the Thor fits just as well and seems equal in build quality. Wore it on a four day 900 mi trip this month and actually found the built in kidney belt made long rodes more comfortable. Only niggling issue is the zippers that attach the kidney belt to the vest seem to work loose and come undone while wearing it.

Good product for price
I bought this for summer riding in Atlanta which can get very hot and mesh jackets still will have you sweating on a summer day. I've worn it twice so far. I feel pretty protected with it. The arm pads move slighty but Imma just have to play with the straps and adjust more. It's pretty true to size, I'm 5/8 193 and got the XL and it's cool. It seems better than just riding with a T shirt on.

Well designed.
I was a little surprised at the high level of quality in which the Thor armored shirt was constructed. He price was much lower then many others brands of the same style and features.

I like how it looks and fits. Good protection. Acceptable price.
Mykhaylo B on Apr 15, 2015
Need the protection without the bulk of a jacket. Its a very hot summer and mesh jackets are still too hot right now.

Jeff L on May 30, 2014
Excellent fit! I think this is a great product! Would recommend! The zippers can come loose which is annoying. I'm thinking of just putting some silicone or lock tight near the zipper closer so it will not move.
Daniel P on May 30, 2014
Love the look and i think it looks like it will do the job
Vijaya T on May 12, 2014
I wanted protection underneath a kevlar hoodie that I purchased.
Nikolai M on Mar 7, 2014
Not impressed with the armor in any of the jackets I have. It fits too loose. I'm 99% sure it will not be in the proper place in the event of an accident.

The hope is that this Thor rig will fit better, keeping the armor close to the body and less prone to move. I'll know more once I get a chance to try it on.

Dear Revzilla, I am very interested in this product. I am 6'1" tall but only weight 160lbs. What size do you recommend?
A shopper on May 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Take the M size. Jacket has lots of adjustment straps that you can loosen to fit your tall. But the L size has quite a larger plates, and they could be a bit wide for you.
im 5'11 1/2 im 160 lbs. what size should I get?

and also I ride a street bike 08 cbr600rr. how would I wear this? Would I wear as is or put something over?
A shopper on Aug 19, 2013
BEST ANSWER: On hot summer days I find it better to wear as is, with no need of a leather jacket. Its made of mostly a mesh material, so you'll get all the ventallation you need when just using the armor. On slightly colder to warm days, I'll usually throw my leather jacket on over the armor to keep me warm, since I live in the pacific northwest. I order the lg/xl and I'm 5'9" 175 and it fits me perfectly. The only issue I have with it is the zippers for the belt strap they easily come undon sometimes. But that can be fixed by using safety pins to keep the zipper from unzipping.
Will this work with a Leatt neck brace?
Trish C on Nov 4, 2015
This is listed under "Street Gear". Is this Street Armor or Motocross?
A shopper on Jun 3, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I believe like most of these rigs it was designed for motorcross but I wear it under a kevlar hoodie for street riding.
Hello!
I have a 190 cm height and 120 kg weight.
What is the size of this protection is right for me?
A shopper on Mar 8, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I weigh 185lbs and am 6'0 and the L/XL fits perfect and I have thin arms. It might fit someone 200lbs with slim to thick arms but IMO no bigger than that.

In my opinion if my kg math is right, you definitely need the 2xl/3xl if you weigh 265lbs.
I'm 5ft 9.5in 155Lbs and I'm thinking about buying this armor rig. What size do you recommend?
james L on Jun 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Small/medium for sure; I'm almost the same size and that's the one I ordered.
Im 180 pounds. 5'10. Lean skinny frame. What size should i get? Im usually a medium in shirts sometimes a large
A C on Mar 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I purchased the L/XL and I'm 5'8" and 190-lbf. I wear a 46 jacket and it seems to fit fine. If you purchase this product, lubricate the zipper during the off season to protect against corrosion.
I am 5'0" tall and weigh 225 pounds, I have a gut. Wear a 42 waist jeans. I tried a armored shirt on at Cycle Gear and couldn't get it over my gut. Am I going to have the same problem with your 2X-3X Armored shirt?
A shopper on Jun 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am 5'5 and about 180 pounds and have 36 waist jeans. I have the shirt in a small and its very snug . If you were to purchase a 2x or 3x i believe you should be ok
Is this product made for women or is there a similar product? I feel like the small would fit best, however, I'm worried that it might be uncomfortable around the chest area. Thank you!
A shopper on Feb 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: My girlfriend wore mines once and she is a D cup and it was a little uncomfortable for her, there are some made strictly for women. Good thing about Revzilla you can send it back or exchange it.
